I love this home!! Lanscape and Backyard is immaculate. Its the perfect design. I wold love to build a home like this...on a smaller scale ofcourse but with the same garage and backyard setup. Something in the $1,000,000 range.

Why are property taxes so high at $57, 000/year on only $2.9M assessment? Actually - why all property taxes are so high in TX?

Property taxes in Texas are so high because the state levies no income tax.

@@Max-fr6ny Still does not make sense, at least for me. There is no balance between the saved income tax if you compare it with the high property tax. If you earn $1M+/year...then yes...but for normal people...it does not...

You’d have to see what the county expenses are. Is the area city/town and county building infrastructure, schools? Do they over pay their cops & fireman? $ goes somewhere.

Compared to a house of this size and style built circa 1915-1930, this house is poorly designed and built, but as an architect, I can say that is what is lacking here is skill and design insight on the part of the architects who designed it.
