Caleb Byers shoots the biggest buck of his life, a 215" Iowa bruiser he calls "Lockdown". Zach Ferenbaugh hunts the "timber nest", the public land crew's new hot spot.
I'm sitting here watching this in February and it makes me want to go get in the stand! Awesome video and awesome buck, just stumbled onto these videos on youtube, really enjoy them. Congrats again, amazing deer!
I love the show, but have experienced the same thing that happened on the double drop tined buck, he saw you as his attention was drawn to the sound of the rattling. Yes sir they can see that far!! You men are truly blessed to get to hunt some of the farms you do and especially blessed to get to hunt for a living ! Awesome! These are some of the best videos there are, thank you for allowing us to view them and experience the excitement of truly trophy bucks
Congrats on a great buck!!! Lots of hard work and patience. It’s hard to pass on some of those young good bucks but as they say if you want to kill great bucks you have to pass on the good bucks. I hunt in far western Kentucky and so ready to get in the stand! Great job and God bless you sir
First time watching video. Nice shot, I never wait that long when it’s a solid shot. I’ve had a couple deer stole from me for waiting a hour on public. But who am I 😂. Congrats
I don't think you heart shot him. It is certain that you double lunged him. The arrow perfectly went through both sides. Not angling back through the liver and guts. Well done Young man!
Y'all have some amazing public land. Great deer, great video and don't apologize for camera light, I would've done the same thing. Probably anybody that saw the video would have.
If it's not Mr.THP himself Zach This must have been before you joined the THP crew I really enjoy watching you hunting You really know what and how the deer are doing
If i'm not mistaken, Caleb and Taylor lost that property after he killed that deer. Guess that's what happens when you kill a 215" deer off it. What an awesome buck. Farmer is probably leasing that land for 20K a year lol.
Cole Johnson I’ve never understood that either. I mean, people act like there’s another 215” buck there. Well that deer is dead. That’s not the only property with those genetics around there. It’s like people think that magically there’s a farm with 200”ers just running around everywhere. People try undercutting you all the time for a piece of ground after a good one is killed.
Jacob, currently most of our team is using... Video Camera: Canon XF400 DSLR/Mirrorless: Sony Alpha Series (A6500, A7iii, A7riii, etc.) Various GoPro's Hope this gives you a good starting point, we appreciate the support and good luck this season!
Yeah I wouldn't really call the monster it's just a large mouse with antlers that is easily shot with high powered rifle and a-scope I wouldn't even call it a sport
We would love to have a few Canadian teams. We have gotten much interest from Canadians wanting to be on the pro staff. Nor have we specifically made an appeal for them. So it is partly on us.
i myself hunt some urban properties in Connecticut & have a view of homes & people going about their daily activities. What always amazes me is how oblivious they are to the incredible wildlife & big beautiful whitetails mere feet from their doors..
Okay! So Hunters! At 4:41 into this post you learn from this hunter’s mistake! USE YOUR RANGE FINDER ! That’s exactly what it’s for! You went through the effort to do everything else RIGHT don’t miss on account of something that you can CONTROL! Enjoy!!
You cant rattle while they're looking at you or in your direction. Maybe they couldn't tell where the deer was looking but he bolted like he spotted them.
@@haydensanson1158 Rattling doesnt work down here. Im hunting as far south in Alabama that you can go without getting wet. About a quarter mile from the water. I know it works in North Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and Mississippi. But not here. Theyve never reacted to any rattling sequence. Had a few does and a spike that looked interested when i just tickled them. That being said, they are very vocal, especially the does.
The good old rut, the one time a hunter can outsmart a mature buck or where a hunter doesn’t even need to as we know all to well that “Thinking With Your Penis” always get you into trouble! We know how dumb we get when we “Think with our dicks”, so we’re obviously gonna take advantage of it & use it against mature bucks lol!
