218. Yet More Family Time

Just recently I was in Exeter, Devon to look after my grandson Oli, whilst his Dad was at work. We were 'out and about' every day and were joined on one trip by my daughter and her son. We had some great adventures including a visit to Dartmoor and Pennywell Farm. Also features gift box opening and a brief look at Westonzoyland Pumping Station established 1830, the first of eight steam powered land drainage machines on the Somerset Levels, now a Museum of Steam Power and Land Drainage.

Afternoon Alan. What a fantastic vlog, again with varied and of course interesting topics. Fantastic to see you making memories not only for yourself, but for your Grandson that he'll carry with him about his Grandad for life. As far as I'm concerned, being a Grandad is THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD...... everyday spent with my Grandson is so, so special. And memories are being made. Your drone flying is certainly coming along nicely, again with some great footage for us to enjoy. Some fantastic buildings you visited there Alan, and to see those steam machines, was absolutely great. Miniature railway was splendid. Once again, thank you for giving us your viewers an insight in to your family life, as well as your boating life. Once again you got some great gifts sent in to u. We have a few more steamings this year and are open this Sunday with free entry under the Heritage Open Days scheme. If you search, you'll find the HODs website. We are also in steam on New Year's Day, very popular, as not much else to do on that day xx

Lovely Alan what fun it is to spend time with grandchildren. I enjoyed the variety of places on this video it was great to see sand on an English beach. The historical houses around England are a keen interest of mine.

I tried to do a recount and I think we have 39 steam engines and pumps, 35 of which work. As I’ve not been there for a while it’s difficult to say for certain. Cheers

Oh Alan you didn't take Oli to Crannere Pool ? *LOL* it wasfun to see how like me as a kid if he had a ball tto kivk around he was happy and despite the ice creams you re now as fit as a fiddleAs for the pumping station next timeI visit my sister in Ilminster we'll take a trip over to Westonzoyland,I love steam engines and big boilers.Now Alan you'll need at least a week of total inaction to recover .My great grand son is now walking now so I can see a football in his future...Gorgeous clear blue sky here and 25c this afternoon but my first Maple is starting to turn orange ,the rest will follow in the same order as every year ,its like a pecking order last will be the big Dark red Maple.Nice vlog Alan Take care Cheers from me and Canada .

Hi Sandra, I don't understand why you're not gettng my replies. Narrowbaots are designed for inland waterways and not sea going, so it's unlikely any took part.
