Hi Alec, that is a good idea about the fire blanket I will have to get one. I recall a few years back my factory sponsored a fire training for all employees, they set up a couple of barrels with gas in the parking lot and let everyone pull the pin on a fire extinguisher and let everyone put it out one at a time. I had used a fire extinguisher before (I might have been a little careless?) but I thought this was a great opportunity to show everyone (office and plant) that yes I can put out a small fire by myself. Money well spent not just for the plant but for everyone's home, They will be into work tomorrow. Might be a good Idea to teach the grand kids too. Safety first! Owen m

Wish more companies did that. It's practical, no powerpoint BS and shows how fast fires spread. We talked to all the kids, even the adults, every few years to remind them of our procedures. Now I can make them watch this! A

I like to always keep one in my car, a couple of times over a lifetime I have see a car on the side of the road smoldering and it never hurts to spray it down even if it just buys time for fire rescue to get there.

Cars should have a fire extinguisher just like commercial trucks. We carry spare tires so why not one of these. A

What about fire protection in the shop?

Good question. The shop has more because of all my tools and working on ATV's, snowmobiles, tractors, etc. Bigger and general fire extinguishers with smoke/CO2 tied into the house alarm. Maybe I should do one on just the garage. A
