A new anime featuring the digital idol and voice actors' project 22/7 (nanabun no nijyuuni) is coming January 2020!
"I didn't want to become an idol."
Miu Takigawa is a shy, introverted girl who one day receives an invitation from a talent agency. What doors might this invitation open for Miu? An idol story unlike any you've ever seen, the new 22/7 (nanabun no nijyuuni) anime series premieres in January of 2020!

The animation designs were adapted from Yukiko Horiguchi, an ex-KyoAni character designer and chief animator director, though she's not involved in the anime (She is on the main project though)

The ex-KyoAni staffer Yukiko Horiguchi did one of the original character designs (Miu) and worked on the “Diary of Our Days” shorts as the animation character designer and animation supervisor, but she’s not working on the TV series. The character designer and chief animation director for the TV series is Majiro. She said she tries to keep the softness of Horiguchi’s designs.

Great Ninja that’s with most idol groups. But just because this anime will be somewhat promoting people to support the group (without the group the franchise is dead) doesn’t mean the animation/story won’t be good. This has been in the work for a long time and I doubt that’s the only reason this anime exists.

Anyways, in all seriousness, it's good and refreshing to see the least genki girl in the group be the main protagonist of an *IDOL* anime/franchise! I can't wait to see the popularity of 22/7 skyrocket FINALLY!!!! It's been too long of an underrated group and this anime will definitely give them a boost, not only through story and characters, but also their songs!!

@@RbDaP Nope. This is a completely different idol genre franchise. But there is 22/7 Diaries and MVs that you should totally check out to have a gist of these characters for this upcoming series.

I have 2 things in mind: -The artstyle is a tribute.....or they really do want to be like KyoAni -The character designer is one of the KyoAni staff OR the character designer is a fan of KyoAni and just recently got this job or had been around for a long time but was ordered to do this chara design

The character designer for the anime adapted to Horiguchi's (The character designer for the whole project, and also character designer for K-ON and Tamako Market) art style, since Horiguchi wasn't able to supervise the animation on the anime (Probably because she was busy with Hello World, Sakura Taisen and doing Light Novel Illustrations)

The fact that Miu has been my fave since I found out about the project and was like "Oh nice my fave is center in this song and this song...and this song too!" and only now I realize she's the main character... I thought it was gonna be Sakura because they seem to promote her a lot on twitter & yt so I just assumed, I like all the cast so as long as every girl gets their screentime I have no complaints

Oh nice. I'm not the only one that was surprised A-1 was the ones behind this animation instead of KyoAni lmao You KNOW it'd be a very special anime if it was KyoAni. With A-1 though? This is going to be interesting to see how they do. When it comes to slice of life, A-1 doesn't do a bad job at all, but I just hope it's not like every other idol anime. I really want it to be more personal. EDIT: Judging by seeing all the characters on the website, it's likely not going to be the case. Oh well, I'll give it a few episodes to see if it just ends up like the others.

Shiromizakana-sensei is doing the character designs for this adaptation my dudes (Yokiko Horiguchi). That's why they look really damn good, and are very reminiscent of KyoAni's artstyle. She worked for KyoAni as the character designer and animation director of K-On! and Tamako Market. She's been one of my favourite LN Illustrators as well. I highly recommend checking out her work. Just the fact that she's working with A1 Pictures now, may mean that A1 is on the comeback.. The last few years they have put out a few lower quality series, in terms of art and animation quality. But that may be scheduling and "chrunch" deadlines, or money issues... and nothing to do with the staff. But excited to see how this one turns out with Shiromizakana-sensei working on it. 😁😁

@@michan6705 sorry about that. I skipped too many things, so my bad (._. ). These characters have youtube channels, they're basically virtual idols. I was talking about Fujima Sakura, one of the characters in the series, her channel sometimes has Miu, the girl in the trailer, doing ASMR.
