Well done. I was able to run the emulator. I'm waiting to get my ZX Spectrum Next and want to try this because I never work on a Spectrum. Greetings from Germany 😀
Thanks a lot for this very useful tutorial. I changed the batch file by adding start before the command line and adding exit in a second line. So the cmd-window is not visible while starting cspect.

The screen memory of these display modes is accessible via 5 banks of 16K which you can page in a number of ways. Handiest way of accessing for writing is a special facility the Next has for write-only paging over the ROM.
@@robinwebster2754 does cspect support sam coupé? can it record avi video of video output? spectra support? and ofcourse the killer if it supports disciple +d and multiface 128 thats actually 2 nmi buttons oh dear!
@@pcsocket462ecsviak7vza I used to use Sim Coupe - it did a good job of emulation but AFAIR the options were basic enough. DOnt know if its been developed much since then.
I would love to follow along to your vids, but the emulator wont work on my XP PC. I need .NET Framework v4.5.2. The browser is no longer supported but offers .NET Framework v4.8, which won't install as it can't find advapi32.dll. I can't install the .dll as the online installer hits a runtime error. I tried to manualy put it in Sytem 32, but an older version is in there and being used by other programs. AAAAGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I'm sick of P.C's. They are &^%%*^"$ useless. Sorry about the rant. (I've just spent 2 hours going round in circles trying to get it to work)
