I love doing dishes by hand - don't want and have never had a dishwasher. It's always the task that gathers everyone together after a big group meal, lots of conversation, impromptu dances, great laughs. But yes - they do multiply on their own, just like white clothes - I swear, what I put INTO a dryer with a load of whites always comes out 4 times the size and quantity!
I honestly believe that you're the top 5 RU-vidrs in the entire world for what you do, your content has so much quality you can tell u put a lot of hard work into it
THE CLIPS OF THE MAN CLAIMING THE DISHES ARE SOAKING, felt that on a spiritual level 😂😂😂😂😂 my husband will soak a single fork for a week to avoid washing it lmao
AshleeAshers18 yess!! Like could I please take a relaxing bath- not even any additives!! Without having to scrub out the tub right after?! It feels counteractive to the relaxing 🤨
AshleeAshers18 fill a spray bottle with VINEGAR and BLUE DAWN DISHWASHING LIQUID. Spray the heck out of your shower/tub and leave for a few hours. Come back with a gentle scrub sponge with baking sod a and scrub, scrub, scrub! Then to KEEP it clean, use the vinegar/dawn solution every few days to completely spray your tub/shower AFTER you come out of the tub.
Heavenly!! 😂 Cleaning the bathroom and following it with heavenly! Sorry, it was so cute we laughed out loud. Hey, I'm simple minded...what can I say 😀
You are hands down my favourite RU-vidr. Your videos are always SO amazing and the quality is always phenomenal. I have never not enjoyed a video you put out. You were made to do this, thank you for sharing your life with us!! ❤️❤️❤️
I need recommendations on a cleaning solution for floors with a sheen. Something that doesn’t leave streaks or a film! I have tried everything and my floors always have foot prints and paws marks / and I mop everyday!!!
I use the Leifheit Clean Twist Disc Mop. It "automatically" sqeezes out water so you can make it as dry as you want, which is handy for hardwood, laminate flooring etc. And no dirty hands :D
I'm absolutely addicted to your RU-vid channel you speak the truth. Since watching your channel I've declutered got containers etc it just saves so so much time especially when cleaning our draws instead of taking everything out one by one all I do is pick out the container and clean. Thankyou 🇮🇪
I use to work with Kitchen Aid and the biggest tip I got for running my dishwasher was to run your hot water in the sink before starting your dishwasher. This allows the water in the prewash cycle to actually be hot. Which helps lead to cleaner dishes. Also, if you're using pods, just place the pod directly into the bottom of the dishwasher instead of the soap department. This allows the pods casing to start dissolving in the prewash cycle and be ready to go during the washing cycles.
Loved the video! Another tip: I always keep a small bowl, right side up, in the top rack of the dishwasher and fill it with vinegar before each use. This keeps the dishwasher clean and scale free.
OH MY GOODNESS!! "It's soaking Ma"🤣😂 This made my day! Loved all these great tips and tricks! I would love to see a vid on keeping your outdoor area clean and neat! XOXOXOXO
Hack about soaking pots!! After cooking & can't get that food out from the bottom of the pan, instead of soaking it... fill it up with water & salt. Put it on the stove, cover it & bringit to a boil. It'll be soooo much easier than scrubbing! Sometimes you can even skip the salt. Just let it boil!
My #1 tip for easy dish cleaning is this: I spray the dirty dishes with a mix of water and dish soap. It's like a light version of soaking. I leave the spray on for a few minutes (or hours depending on when I get to doing the dishes) and the spray takes care of most of the work for me! A few light swipes and the dishes a clean - such a time saver!
Thank you so much for this, Brittany. ❤❤ I've been the one doing the dishes lately, so I really needed a good 101 on this topic. BTW Ryan just kills me!! 😂😂😂 "Look, soaking is a process." 😁😁
Great tips. I've been implementing washing my own dishes as I cook, it makes a huge difference. We dont own a dishwasher so I also like to remove the scorched burned food from the pans with a scraper, then I wipe them down with paper towels and I soak them overnight in a paste of baking soda and water. The following day, the mess comes out effortlessly.
I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't mind doing the dishes... in fact, sometimes I like doing it 🤷♀️ I've implemented that method a while ago! I wash my dishes right away! As I'm cooking, while our food cools down, I just don't like letting them pile up. Nonetheless, great tips, and great ending 😂
I too like washing dishes, actually cleaning in general, told my whole life I'm weird, not normal... my response..."don't come asking for me if you commit a murder...no no CSI wouldn't have a chance in my house, but you're house....that's how people get consecutive life sentences....just saying.
Thank you, Brittany, for this very helpful and informative video. I actually bought the towels and dishcloths that you suggested and they are really great! Have a great day everyone and God bless you!
I got into the habit of washing/cleaning as I go in college since I loved to cook but had basically one or two of everything so things had to be reused right away. Such a useful practice to have. Also, love these videos and yes do one for the bathroom!!
Brittany, I just love your videos! I am always excited when you post a new one. I love that you include Carter and Ryan in your videos. Especially Carter. He is so smart and cute! I filled you during your pregnancy with him and now with your daughter. Truly great videos. Keep it up. 😁
Awww Carte😂r😍🥰. He is sooo cute, funny and genius boy. I miss see him at Carter's corner so so much! You an incredible, amazing, wonderful human being Brittany in EVERY aspect!
Recently subscribed and love your tips and tools you help me think outside the box. Love your methods and we both have same mentality as getting out of bed and make it after restroom wash face and brush teeth then tidy bed up. Bring small load of laundry and put on and do any (midnight smackers) dishes dry and put away. Floors and I’ve been making myself purge and carry light through life. No more heavy loads. It actually makes my anxiety truly bad when something gets dirty or not washed. Lol
Aww Carter is the cutest 😍 thank you for sharing these tips! 💕 I don’t use a dishwasher and I can see some of these tips really helping me out! I’m specially working on the wash as I go one bc when those dishes pile up it’s sooo stressful 😭😂
Hey Brittany. Like you, I have found dish clothes non absorbent as well. This week I discovered flour sack towels on the bottom shelf at Walmart. They cost almost nothing and are SUPER absorbent. They can also be bleached if needed. I think you will love them!
Huh...looks like ive been using my dishwasher "correctly" this whole time! Yay me! As for doing dishes as i go...still working on that! I also despise handwashing dishes!!!!
Dust if you must but wouldnt it be better To write a letter Bake a cake or plant a seed Ponder the difference between want and need. - Rose Milligan It's the start of a sweet poem but I swear by it, maybe read it and feel better?
It’s great how if you just observe what (most) ppl already do it makes for great content all in one video! 👍🏽 That clean/dirty dishwasher magnet is a lifesaver in our house...I found it on Amazon last year, and it saves everyone from wondering (especially since we pre-wash). 🙌🏾
Quick question (nothing to do with dishes). What do you do with your old organizational bins/baskets - when you upgrade to new ones? For example you find better ones at the Dollar Store vs Target ones? Let me know. (By the way, congrats on Carter's milestone!)
You are the cutest! I am home sivk today and not looking forward to a sink full of dishes I need to do. This was reassuring and helpful .. Gonna go get em done thanks!
I’m so impressed by your videos and live for those silly skits with your hubs and now your adorable son! Seriously love the tips in this video and you don’t see enough of this kind of good content from you tubers these days. You rawk hun! I’d love to see kid routines or anything about laundry.
These are SO GOOD! We almost already use all of these (& their so helpful) but you just taught me about the alternating silverware and center facing the dishes! Thanks girl! 💛 Also, I feel like Im the only one who gets excited about dish ware hacks! 🙈😂
Brittany -- i recently discovered your channel and am obsessed!! I haven't stopped watching all your videos and implementing your suggestions/rec's into my day to day. Thanks for another helpful share :)
I can be super touch sensitive when it comes to washing dishes. I threw up once cause I touched something and it was only ketchup on a plate. My dad still makes me do dishes
You’re still lucky to have a dishwasher coz here in our country, we wash the dishes manually hahaha and I actually like doing it 😅 yes to clean as you cook! i love you brit!😍
My dishwasher tip is to switch it off and open the door just after the wash, and skip the dry cycle. Tbe dishes are dryer because the steam gets out and it saves electricity 👍🏻
I feel your pain. I hate doing dishes as well. When I was 14 (which was many moons ago) I worked at a restaurant as a dishwasher. They didn't have a machine so I had to wash everything by hand. 😳 "those are soaking." Lol
I am a new subscriber. Can you please tell me where you got your lovely dishes.. and who is the manufacturer is. I would really appreciate it... thank you so much. Love your videos.
Yes!!!! Clean as you cook is an absolute must for me!!! Now if only I can get my husband on board with it!!!! Although I am thankful that he steps in and helps with meals, my God, it looks like a bomb went off everytime he does. lol he's lucky I love him!!! Great tips!! Keep them coming!!!
Great tips! The toothbrush holder in the dishwasher is genius! Those things get so moldy and mildewy. The next task I think you should tackle is either laundry or cleaning the bathtub/shower.
I love this video! I am realizing one of the most refreshing things in the morning is to wake up to an empty clean sink! My hardest thing to clean is clothes that accumulate in the bedroom. Some clothes like jeans or bras that don’t need washing everyday become mess piles in the bedroom. I always feel like it’s too much work to refold and put into the drawer or rehang so I throw it on the floor so not to mix it with my dirty laundry. I could use some of your organizing and cleaning tips on this!
I always love your super practical videos but the fact that someone just used the term "literally" correctly just made my day! Literally hand wash. Haha
Just taught my 9yr old to clean the dishes 🤣🤣🤣 WINNING!!! Been waiting my whole life for this 👌 thanks for the tips babe 👍 BIG ❤ LOVE FROM A SMALL RU-vidR 🙋♀️
