There's always something I learn from your uploads! I never miss a single video. Thank you for your amazing hacks and Amazon products. I swear by your recommendations ♥️
I recently got a new dishwasher and new dishes. The square dinner plates were too tall for the dishwasher. The spinner would hit them, so I’ve been washing them by hand. Ugh! But thanks to your helpful video, I found that I can move my top rack up and now my plates fit!! Hallelujah! No more hand washing! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! 😊
I subscribed awhile back because i loved Learning something new from her all the time every time I watched her. I always learn something New to her Amazon finds to help make things easier for me at home. Thank you Brittany!!! 😊
Genius…the whistle on the backpack is a game changer and should be told to every child carrying a backpack…It can alert someone if they are ever in danger! Thanks Brittany…love & hugs 💋💨
@@razieaaaa6513 I believe you can more often find them on outdoor/hiking/camping backpacks, not school/kid backpacks. It’s still definitely not the norm, she made it sound like most backpacks have them, which just isn’t true.
Another home filter a lot of people don’t know about is the one in your faucet. If you unscrew the spout at the tip where the water comes out, there is usually a wire mesh filter that is catching any debris from your pipes! Rinse & replace it for better water flow!
Soak all of your faucet screens with vinegar every 6 months when you change your smoke detector batteries. Keeps them clean and flowing. Also, put vinegar in a bag, place your shower head on a bag, and use a rubber band to fasten to the shower stem. Let it soak several hours. All that mineral residue will come off. You can also use a product called CLR.
The extra jeans pocket was originally for pocket watches. I knew many of these but learned some new ones! The herb stripper was so cool! I always thought that was just for bottle tops. I usually watch on my iPhone although occasionally on my laptop. But I never miss, especially these random trivia episodes. Love them! 🤓
@@vitakhan307 I thought it was for coins😊 because back then people used a lot of coins and bills. Pocket watches must have been a lot smaller than they are today… OR the little pocket has changed over time and become smaller.
The scissor serrated bit is also used to give leverage when opening jars! Also the small pocket was originally designed for a fob watch as it was less likely to fall out and when wearing jeans men didn’t usually wear a waistcoat!
So I knew most of those, but the one I like, is the tab on top of a soda can, it can be turned around over the large opening and you can place a straw into it and it won’t move around, that’s my favorite.😊
@@JHolan-dw8kd I have. My kids always used straws when drinking a can of pop. No tipping the can and they didn't spill pop down their shirts. I use a straw when I have a pop in the car, especially when I'm driving!! Try it sometime, I swear you will like it!!
Never knew about the scissors hack - and I’ve seen it but never questioned it. You’ve got to love how you come up with these things. Love the beanie explanation. Thanks so much Brittany - this was a fun video.
Dearest Britney, This is brilliant! Thank you for educating us on these small details which can make such a big difference in our lives. The head rest doubling as an emergency escape device to smash window can save lives! ❤
The heel lock tip for tying shoes definitely blew my mind! I can’t recall when I learned that but it’s been such a game changer! It works sooo well that you are quite literally “locked” into your shoes once you lace them like that! 😂
Speaking of filters I see so many keurig machines that people get rid of unnecessarily because there's a little tiny filter in the water line where you the water comes in on the bottom part and that needs to be cleaned it gets clogged up and then the Keurig won't work and it's a common problem. The filter is teeny tiny ❤️
I LOOOOVE these videos sooooo much!!!❤ Even things you may have known, and forgotten this is great for a reminder! My favorite is(as a mother and grandma of a now driving teenage boy) the headrest in the car! We live in Louisiana and we are full of bayous, accidents can happen….knowing this is very good!
Love these vids you do! I didn't know about the running shoe laces or the whistle in the back pack... and I'm a runner and hiker! Lol! The pocket watch pocket, I did know. Back in the 1800s the pocket watch was new innovative technology! How amazing to have your own mini clock that you could take with you! 😊
Great video! I always thought the drawer under oven was to store cookie sheets. My mom told me it’s a “warmer area” to put casseroles or bread after it’s baked. Seats in a small sedan like a Honda Civic. The backseat seats can also be dropped down but the access button is in the trunk to release them. Opens up backseat space a lot!
So many useful tips! I'm going to look for the gas cap holder for sure, as the string that it hangs by broke awhile ago. Probably wouldn't have broken if I'd been using the cap holder, lol! Watching on my desktop Mac. I make playlists for videos I want to watch vs only need to listen to and like to watch my watch list on a bigger screen. Brittany's videos are always on my watch list!
The extra pocket in jeans was for the pocket watches people used to carry. I loved the fact with the whistle in backpacks!!!! I will check all our bags in the morning 🙈
Love your excitement in every videos of yours, it makes me feel like you care and passionate about you do and represent to us as audience. Thanks for these new hidden tricks.
I always thought that serrated hole on the kitchen shears was to crack crab legs or other seafood. The herb stripper is much more useful because I don't like seafood!! Thanks for all the great tips!
2:41 - this will not work on newer cars. Side windows in almost 100% of vehicles are laminated. It's meant to prevent people being ejected from vehicles (which is easily preventable with a seatbelt...duh) but turns your vehicle into a death trap in some situations where you can't get the doors open or the window down. Your headrest brackets will not break out laminated glass.
Definitely the little arrow for the car tank, the instapot lid holder( mind blowing), the pan handle hole spoon holder and the two extra holes to tie the laces tighter we’re new to me ! Would’ve never guessed or even thought of! My fav is the instapot lid holder I was like, thank you!! cause that thing is a nightmare each time I open my instapot!
If you put your spoon on the hole in your frypan handle, it would drip all over the stove. Similarly with the lid on that pressure cooker, if propped up as suggested.
*The extra pocket on the jeans is a watch pocket. It was for when especially men, used to carry a pocket watch on a fob. They would clip the chain onto their pants and stick the fob of the watch into that little pocket. * I’m on my iPad. Thank you Brittany for all your very helpful hints / tips. I use them religiously! 😊
Years ago, when I heard about the arrow on the gas pump icon…life changing! At the time, I was in rental cars all the time, always on different sides of the car…very helpful, especially at night, in rain or snow, when you’re in a hurry ….this should be included on the driving test!🧐iPad
Wow!! This one was the best so far. Thank you!! Lots of helpful tips. I think everyone can glean something useful from this video. Freaking awesome! 👏🏽
The instant pot trick!!! 😭 you are my hero!! I have a small kitchen and not much counter space, and it always stresses me out when I take the lid off. 🤪 thank you 🙏🏽
I've driven a Toyota Corolla for 21 years (probably a world record 😂) and never knew the seat belt could be adjusted up or down. I've suffered with it cutting my neck and with gizmos that are supposed to remedy the problem. They don't work. Now I have achieved "driving bliss" because I saw your video!!! Yaaaaay!😊
So cool and very informative!! Didn't know you could move the seat belt in the car up and down like that..Never knew what the rivets on the jeans were for either!! Love this thank you for sharing!! 😊🤗😚💗💖💕💗💖💗💕💗💖💗💕💗💖💕💗💖
i use my scissors regularly as a bottle opener and a foil cutter for Wine. I won't be trimming any herbs. 🤣 So happy to know where to put that Instant Pot lid! I knew most of the others. I think the triangle for the gas is always worth repeating. I didn't learn that for years. Thanks, Brittany!
The little pocket on pants are for pocket watches. I knew alot of these, but the kitchen scissors was neat to learn and the puff ball on hats was the most interesting to me. That's so cool.
Knew most but that microphone on the phone and backpack whistle are new to me. I was taught typing by the placement of my fingers on keyboard by those lines. I love learning new hidden features. Really enjoy your videos. Thx&see ya😁
The extra pocket was invented back in the day when men carried around pocket watches. Im watching this on my phone. Also, my favorite one was the whistle on the backpack clip, i immediately went to go check my backpack, and yup the whistle was there.🤯 I had no idea and I’ve had this backpack for 2 months 😂
Oh my goooodness!!! Stopping video to go find each next thing I never knew about!! These are great!! Can't believe I am how old and don't know these!!!😂
Great video. I just learned what the lines in red cups are last week. The scissors I didn’t know. The little line on gas and gas cap and everything else I didn’t know. Wow!
I’m watching you on my smart TV, but commenting on my phone. That little jeans pocket was for a pocket watch. Hard to say which is my favorite. I always learn something new and interesting from your videos. 😊
Hey Brittany genius hacks I love 💕 it, thank you for sharing with us. Very cool hidden gems. My favorite hidden gem were the scissors the bottom metal can also be used to make your decorative ribbon curly for gifts and balloons.
I always always always learn new things from your videos! My favorite on this one was he scissors! Thanks for all your hard work :). I'm sure I'll be running around the house tonight checking out all our backpacks to see if they have whistles - brilliant.
Great video! I watch your videos on my phone while I’m getting ready for work. I didn’t know about the arrow on the gas pump showing which side, the headrest safety feature, the instant pot lid holder tab, the microphone on back of the phone, and the solo cup lines!! Very informative!!😊
The car tips I learned all of them from you in previous videos you made 😊long time follower. Also the front loader and dishwasher tips you included in other videos of yours as well.
Thank you so much for bringing so many useful information 😊 when I share with my friends the tricks for a minute I let them think I’m a Genius 😂 than of course I tell them you as the source and later I send them your link!! LOVE it all
The little pocket in the jeans is for a pocket watch. I'm watching it on my phone. I'm glad you told me about using the head rest too brake a window. I knew all the other little things except herb striper on the kitchen scissors. That's great to know!!
I found your videos while searching for organizing home in a smart way and then I got addicted to all your other videos and have been watching it since. Love the hacks and tips that you share. Have saved me a lot of money and electricity :) Love you Brittany
The little baby pocket was for pocket watches back in the day. Also I’m watching on tv 😬 but normally watch on my phone! The whistle on the back pack was mind blowing!! Thanks for the fun video!!
As a past runner, I knew about the heal lock, except I’ve known it as a runner’s knot. Having a very narrow heal, that little extra hole on my running shoes made quite a difference. I use it on my regular sneakers for everyday wear as well.
I never even noticed that my kitchen scissors had the herb cutter feature! I just went and looked lol. Also, the tiny pocket in a pair of jeans was originally made for pocket watches.
Me with my mouth dropping/audibly swaying “woah” to myself after EVERY.SINGLE.THING. Except I’ve been on the hunt for the drain thang on my front load washer for literal months now😂 Do rentals not have these?! It’s a new Whirlpool and I can’t stand the idea of gross buildup (though I have to wait for my adhd brain to go into hyperfocus mode in order to get the DEEP cleaning done😬) Thanks so much Brittany (as always) for blowing my mind/providing life changing info that ACTUALLY really helps (anything that’s “new” gets an adhd brain excited; so when it has to do with productivity it’s FANTASTIC!
I just got my first actual little hiking day pack, when I was trying it on and adjusting the straps, I noticed the chest strap looked odd, and I was a whistle!! Neat accessory
Thanks for the washer drain hose info. I had always just opened the drain plug and had to soak up water from the floor. Darn hose plug was hard to get off but worked well.
The bottom drawer on most current models IS just a storage drawer, not a warmer area. To check yours the next time you use your oven open the drawer and see if it feels warm. There was a time when the broiler was on the bottom too, the first oven I remember having as a kid was designed that way.
Thanks for another entertaining and informative video! I did not know about the herb stripper on the scissor handles, but I just added parsley to my grocery list for this week so I can try it out!😊
I have to assume anyone who was unaware of the bumps (aka homing bars) on the F and J keys cannot touch type. I learned how to type in school and by the end my teacher put opaque fitted sleeves over the keyboard and we were expected to pass typing tests using only the two bumps to guide our hand placement. We learned where all the keys were relative to those F and J keys :)
That’s so cool people can do that, I could never get it and always marvel at the people who can! My mom told me when she learned to type in school they were not electric, and you had to hit the keys with enough pressure to raise the bar with each letter on it, causing it to hit the inkribbon onto the paper! She said all the keys were blank and the teacher drew the diagram on the chalkboard and only left it up there for 1 week, you were tested on that too! She erased it and then worked on your speed, you had to type at least 60 words a minute to pass the class! I can’t even imagine! I think the mechanics of the machine was an engineering marvel!
@@sunderwood9321 Well, you don't just get it, you were taught it progressively. The typing lessons were set up so that you would learn certain words or sets of letters at a time. So, if they wanted to teach you where u and n are, relative to j (which is always under your index), they would make you type "jun" over and over. You'd, by muscle memory, learn that you move !just! your right index finger to reach those 3 letters. NO FLYING FINGERS!!! as my teacher would say 😂 Do that with the other 8 fingers, make longer words, form sentences, do it faster, and you can learn to type anything without thinking. It's cool. Every single person in class learned to do it.
As soon as I saw how to clean the filter on the Dyson hairdryer, I paused this and went and cleaned it! And then, I checked our day pack and there was the whistle! So cool! Thanks, Brittany!
Watching on phone!!!! Are you still making jewelry? All of your first designs were fabulous and I am still loving the high quality. What about earrings? Your necklaces are gorgeous. Would love the circles from the necklaces as earrings!
I love these types of videos you do! My favorite for sure. I had no idea about the herb cutter! And my guess on the pocket is for a pocket watch. I know I heard that before but not sure if it's accurate. ❤
