Hello, I’m trying to write out a sentence and need to know if it makes sense and if the grammar is correct. The context is one person at a hotel ordering room service for dinner via phone for herself and 2 other people: “Bonsoir, je voudrais le steak à point, le poisson, et le plat du jour... “ Thank you for your help!!
We have snails of course but we usually just don't eat them. Also while the word escargot means edible snail it typically consists of 3 distinct species Which are not native to the states. That said, I could buy them at the Asian store frozen then make them myself.
That happened to me in California. There are a lot of French ex-pats out there. Especially in wine country. I asked everything in French. I wasn't perfect with my french, but enough that he knew what I said. Because he answered everything I asked, just in English.
Are there french art songs like the song cycles of Schubert and Schuman in german? My attempts to find such songs have frustrated, so I sing Mimi stuff and other popular songs.
Hi Alexa, I wish you could speak slower and repeat at least three times before you move to the next sentence. i enjoyed your video but I couldn't keep up with you.
MY FATHER IS BEATING ME RIGHT NOW, PLEASE HELP, PLEASE TELL HIM TO STOP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RED ALERT HELP, I REPEAT, MY DAD IS BEATING THE HELL OUT OF ME AND MY DOG

I really enjoy learning French with Alexa. I fail to understand why anyone would give these videos of thumbs down. The videos are well produced, easy to understand and Alexa is just Pleasant to watch. Alexa, Thank you for making these videos they are a treasure. Merci beaucoup.
Useful sentences, thanks Alexa. In my opinion, nobody would say « l’eau du robinet » in a restaurant. You may say « une carafe d’eau », then they understand that you want tap water and not a bottle (like Badoit, Evian etc) 😉
Hi madame bonjour, Thank you very much for your lovely lessons, i am following your lessons, i was a student at La Alliance fronse de Kotte, Colombo, Sri Lanka
hello can u please help me by making a video how to sale the food in french because i got the job in french resturant and i need to work there in french
Back in the day when I was learning French, my instructors told me to use the word "carte" and not "menu" for the English word menu. Maybe that has changed over the years?
Puis-je avoir une serviette avec au pied du porc? Je voudrais aussi une boisson rafrassichante et une bouteille d'eau, un verre de la bière et un bouteille du vin rouge sec s'il vous plait. J'aimerais ils des que possibles. Merci beaucoup pour votre travaille fort. Just came up with this. Is there a better way to say it, or are there corrections needed?
I would have said " Puis-je avoir une serviette et du pied de porc ? Je voudrait également un boisson rafraichissante et une bouteille d'eau, un verre de bière et une bouteille de vin rouge sec s'il vous plait. J'aimerais cela dès que possible. Merci beaucoup "
i used this in a restaurant, it didn't work, they kept saying something like this is a mexican restaurant leave. I was just saying baguette baguette croissant croissant!. 5/10 would recommend
J'adore la cuisine Francais mais le beouf peux etre un peu crue pour le "rosbifs"! :) But my favourite thing to eat in the world is a genuine French Tarte au Citron. You just cannot get anything like it anywhere here in England, it is simply not the same. Some Brits go on 'booze cruises" to Calais for cheap French wine, I do the same for Tarte au Citrons! :) @@learnfrenchwithalexa
At 3:01 I noticed she doesn't pronounce the liason between pourrions-nous and avoir, I wonder if thats because its an inversion..Alexa is the best teacher hands down, free french lessons why give it a thumbs down???
I think you're correct. I'm a beginner myself, but I think where there's an inversion the following word isn't a liaison because it will be an infinitive verb.
