That bad memory thing comforts me. It shows that you can be a genius but still have problems memorizing things. I'm considered pretty smart and can remember lots of different facts, math, and scientific methods because they all make sense to me. It's like they all have patterns that you can piece together without having to use straight memorization. But things like dates, peoples names, and especially street directions never stick in my mind. It takes me months and months of driving in a small area to be able to get around without a map or gps. To me, there is no immediately visible pattern to these things and every step has to be individually memorized instead of just understood as a whole.

I didn’t know some of those facts, but I’m surprised you never mentioned that while Einstein was a professor, a student had to help him home because he would forget where he lived. I believe Einstein was a high functioning savant.

He was on the Autistic Spectrum so he allways was a neurodiverse (and his learning difficulties as a child and his sensory issues around clothes proves it as well as the fact that he had Autistic sisters)....There is a high prevelence of Autism amongst creative and highly intelligent/ talanted people...Neurodiversity is responsible for the biggest human discoveries- only to show that in humans neurodiversity is one of the biggest assets for humanity.

Pretty sure the special theory of relativity was his original theory with flat spacetime and it wasn't until this was pointed out and corrected did he come up with the general theory of relativity with instead curved spacetime

here's a surprising fact: His 4 iconic papers were not his work. it was his first wife's work, Mileva Marić. She studied relativity in Heidelberg, not he. He never published another paper after their divorce. He gave her all the Nobel prize money to keep her quiet.
