Good video. Kinda crazy how slow you speak though. I sped the vid up to twice the speed and it became normal. I totally forgot that it was sped up. It was like you could speak normally.
I'm definitely going to apply these suggestions as I am guilty of both things. The lengthy email and video. I wish there was a different suggestion besides asking for an opening slot as most of the gigs I'm looking for are not going to have openers.

Hi! Your videos are great! I have no experience booking a gig at a venue and would love to start trying! Is it an unusual thing to book a solo gig and sing with your set up and no instruments? I would even just do it as a volunteer in the beginning to get the experience. Also, if you don’t know the contact info of the people that actually book the gigs would it best to just email the restaurant or place?
In 2022 venues are not responding at all! not to emails and not to cold calls!! I'm at a loss here. and people are still scared of COVID :o and NEVER BEG lol I've done it all! I've been doing it all wrong, cause I do demand! What an eyeopener. I leave dates and music links? is that wrong
It seems most places haven't been able to recover and are dealing with hiring and workers quitting. I called one place I played a gig at this year, and their entire team changed including their manager. The owner told me he fired everyone on the phone. This is a bar restaurant tho, and that is different than a real music venue. I believe that's the reason. We are just in a bad economy and music is one of the first to get hit. However, I still know a lot of places that are still having live music, but for some reason they will not let lesser known musicians work their way and build relationships with them. Honestly, I don't see any younger musicians being introduced, so that makes me wonder. Who will be playing these places in 5-10 years?

Are you young? I don't see much young talent being pushed. Especially in bar/restaurants. It is tough to get gigs now, even when sending good emails and facebook messages.
