Today i repaired a hairdryer. The connector was broken and i replaced the cable. The Torx screws had an little pin, therefore i had to cut the pin and then i could lose the torx screws.
Yes, helpful… but I have no spare parts 🙁 In my case the switch seems to be broken. A little bit more specific: the diode seems to get hot on fan level 1 and melted the plastic of the switch and also the solder. This made the contact of the switch come out a bit causing level 2 of the fan not to work anymore. Then also it melted the soldering and the cables on the diode came off and nothing worked anymore. It looks like bad design to me. The diode should not get so hot or should be placed somewhere else where its heat does not cause damage.
