I am extremely disappointed you aren't making videos this year. I've sat down for hours watching your videos. No one on the internet has a better reloading channel. So thank you for the videos you have for us. Still very sad. Thanks again brother!

After sighting in at 60 feet, I could easily cover 5 shots with a nickel ru-vid.comUgkxQt2uORDRfFOVSrO4idv4B90ThT6EOnEL ! Truly a pleasure to shoot! Scope was easy to adjust for eye relief. Only problem the varmints must have seen it delivered lol!Update: So impressed with shot groups at 30 yards I purchased a Hammers 3×9 with adjustable Objective scope! Now a true nail driver!

I'm getting great results with N140 in my Colt M4. Velocity is unfortunately low due to the 16" barrel. Twist is 1in7. N540 looks promising too. Great video! Your time is appreciated!

My opinion is those testing groups were going to be a little off because they weren't tailored to the barrel. They were still better than factory, which speaks to the "goodness" of the load.

Enjoyed the results! I have used bedding compound and release agent to bed the seater stem for various bullet shapes, this helps with VLD bullets and the LESS vld ogive of bullets like the 77g SMK. This is simple and easily accomplished with 5 minute JB Epoxy, and any kind of wax as a release agent.

Swiss reload RS50 is awesome with these and 77tmks. 2750fps in a moderate load. Bug hole groups. N140 works almost as well. I load at 2.265 for these but have a custom chamber. 1/8 barrel really needed.

An interesting observation: Your best group was from the StaBall pressure testers. That is quite interesting since each load had a different powder charge. One factor is certainly that you single loaded the round almost completely into the chamber before closing the bolt. That means there were none of the normal feeding stresses on the bullet. When shooting for accuracy, I always single load that way, even on my bolt guns. Feeding from a clip always seems to open up group sizes a bit.

Much like a barrel reamer (when you chamber a barrel), we need a reamer for die seating stems so we don't deform the bullet when seating it. You'll have some bullet to bullet shape variation. But make the reamer true to spec.

Years before there was a MK262 Mod1 round or a "cannelured" Sierra 77grn SMK bullet to use - I shot this load from a CR6724. Load and data below was developed by my shooting mentor and rifle builder expressly for shooting the CR6724, sub-MOA @ 1000 yards: LOAD DATA: Sierra 77grn. MatchKing (no cannelure) 24.0 grns. Accurate 2460, (Hot Load), DO NOT PUSH, start low & work up, loaded into once fired (from the CR6724) Remington Brass Remington 7.5 small rifle BR primers These are loaded mag length - 2.250" OAL + or - Come-ups for 24" Colt Accurized Rifle (6724) using load above w/ Leupold Vari-X III, 4.5x14 w/ turrets and Mil-Dots on 20MOA mount: 100- zero 200-1 1/2 min 300-3 3/4 min 350-4 min 400-5 1/2 min 450-7 1/2 min 500-9 1/4 min 550-11 1/2 min 600-12 3/4 min 700-17 3/4 min 800-23 min 900- no target 1000-35 1/2 min (34-36 depending on humidity/weather conditions) This load and rifle is still used today. (if it ain't broke don't fix it) - Come ups will also work for custom 24" Kreiger bbl'd Rem700 223 using the same load.

Have you considered using the Hyskore dual dampener rifle rest? It also comes with a hydraulic trigger actuator. It is a fabulous rest for load/combination comparison/build. Removes entire human element. Returns firearm to same battery position as long as its solidly mounted to a solid bench. ( I mean hey, you got a spanky doppler chrono...., you need a spanky rest). ;-)

Thank you Johnny, watching the Mark 262 Mod 1 series convinced me that I should find that reloading equipment I bought and learn how to reload. Unfortunately it's a bad time to start to get into reloading, or anything firearms related. But I did manage to find some of the Sierra Match King 77gr OTM, lapua cases and an 8lb jug of Accurate 2250. But the place I got the stuff from ran out of the powder within 24 hours after I bought it. Hopefully they only sold what they had and didn't over sell it. I'll see if they ship it out. Now if I could just find primers. Those seem to be out everywhere 😢 Now I just have to find my reloading kit in the garage and see if I can't get a bench to mount it to.

Can't remember if it's Nosler or Speer that lists load density with load data. Many loads specify certain powders that cannot fit into the case with max loads. The density %age really helps you pick max loads using heavy bullets that intrude into the powder space. Prevents distorted casings.

If it's to much just load it lighter. That's assuming you have an ar platform. If you had a bolt gun or lever gun I think theirs just better options on the same thing. So after all that I'm really curious to why you choose the 350 legend? Maybe you see something I don't.

25:00 You ever think that the AR feed ramps might be affecting the cartridge as it's going into the chamber? Can't help but wonder when it's sort of alternating between two points of impact depending on which side of the magazine the round is being picked up from. Would be really curious just as a quick fact finding mission what would happen if you hand fed 5 rounds of the same exact load.

I was talking to a guy about 223 loads at a store the other day while buying some varget and I mentioned your channel.. He said of course i watch JRB lol anyway we look forward to some new videos. Some 7.62x39 150ish gr loads out of a quality barreled ar15 would be awesome

Johnny, I’d like to see you try some faster powders like Benchmark and H335. I’ve had great luck with these in my 18” AR with Hornady 75gr BTHP’s. In my experience 18” and shorter barrels really like faster powders.
