I shot a few through my nitro piston break barrel at 30yards, and I must say that these slugs are fantastic. My next test will be at 50 yards, so I hope I will get a much tighter group, as these slugs tend to level out past 30 yards. A bit on the expensive side but hey, if you want quality, these slugs are the way to go.
FX Hybrid slugs are 4 times as expensive here in South Africa. We have Thor Slugs, a hybrid, half the price and double the amount in the box. Javlins are awesome. H&N slugs are about the most accurate
Uncle Hodge I understand the Impact is a very complicated PCP with a ton of O-Rings and parts but if you have some extra cash get the Air Venturi Avenger. Less issues if any and just as fun.
The air rifle I own is a Stoeger ATAC S2 nitro piston with a 4-16x40 AO Mildot scope. I did another test with the FX Hybrids at 30yds and after 5 shots landing all over the show, I found that I need to use a much more stable butt rest. I found something (wood), and then proceeded to take a few more shots (3). The final 3 shots I took landed within exactly 1cm (10mm) dead-center at my point of aim. Needless to say, I was surprised after the first extra shot with the stable butt rest. I took another with the same result, and to be sure, I took a final shot. I literally jumped up and ran to the target and there it was, This is an amazing result, but as I said previously, I want to do a 50yd test. I do need to fabricate my own butt-rest that will be more comfortable to use and carry. That exercise is in the pipeline. If possible, can you to do a ft/s test if you can, as this airirfle is rated as 850 - 900 ft/s out of the box and I am not sure the pellet weight of the manufacturer's test.
your vid inspired me to try the hybrids in 22 cal ... first try at 895 fps ... first 3 5 shot 75 yd groups ... 0.42", .82" and 1.39" ... 120 bar fx impact 700 mm stx pellet liner ... no plenum ... just a hunter so good enough for me ... thx
I have my impact mk2 in .30 with power plenum and external plenum 63cc too, superior heavy liner, dual transfer port, pin probe and huma regulator i shoot the nielsen 65g at 980 with the regulator at 140bar at 120 meters, no wind the groups are really nice. Now i want to try with .22 to have new feelings.
Awesome video brother great shooting have tried the varmint knockers in 25 cal from 30 gr to 34 gr they shoot excellent out of the heavy superior liner in 25 thanks for sharing bsafe
Since I purchased my MKII , these are the only ones that shot the best groups . They are damn expensive and are getting hard to find in stock because the secret is out ! 😁 The NSA .22 218 31.2 grain show promise but I have to use a single feed tray , FPS @ 960 .
I love the FX Hybrids and the large hollow. Point , I just wish the JSB Knock Outs would open up like the hybrids . Then there’s the cost . JSBs sure look good and the cost is right . I just haven’t shot them yet ,
I feel your pain Brother of the Scope. Even when I check the direction arrows I manage to click the wrong bloody way. I enjoy your straight forward style of vids. Hermann's may be a little more expensive but it is all premium gear for the premium result that we strive for. I'm itching to get my hands on the FX Crown Continuum MK2 in .25cal. It's a Bugga being patient :) That .070 was pretty damned impressive and I reckon some ribbons on the home range might save you from those left to right whoopsies :) There's always one pill that wont hang with the group (I think it's called an El Nino) :P So close to the magic 1/2 moa.
get some wildmans slugs from uk i can confirm every slug they make works in fx ive been using at the moment 34gr in .22 and getting sub moa easy at 100 yards he made me some 38gr to try and same accuracy .
I saw the snow on the news! Wild stuff! The sun is vicious down here at the moment but were having a wet summer so it's raining more then usual and it's not as spicy as normal
The problem with the 22 is to get it close to 25 power everything is pushing hard. My 25 pushes over 90ftlb on 123bar & it's not maxed out. Then you think, what's the point in a 30 😂 but hey 30 ordered, then 35, once they get the issues sorted. I tried the 26gr Hybrids 25cal at 1010/1076fps & were pretty darn good. Just filthy dirty rounds, far to much swarf with them.
Well Canada is changing the rules again.. sounds like they took the book from your country. 🙁 👍🏼 .22 cal range of ammo way better. But I live in a very windy place, the .25 is the one if your shooting past 50M around here. Have you tried the .25 cal Nielsen 34gn very good too.
Pellets have there place in the airgun world mainly for close range and if you're worried about them hitting something you shouldn't past 200 yards. For me I will never go back to pellets slugs just dominate pellets for all out performance

not picking great vid but you say there not the best quality but then there worth the money personally i agree with the first comment there made to fast and the quality isnt there shame really but not worth the money
A cold hammer forged barrel and JSB heavies is all you need. Actually better results than your getting with far less fuss. Impact owners are never happy, they always think the next barrel, liner, transfer port, power plenum, slug, pellet is going to shoot better than the previous one. FX must be laughing all the way to the bank. 😂🤣😅 what’s next, 3 regulators.
Depends on what you want mate. Impact is perfect for people who like to tinker with and change things. Lots of other great options out there for people who just want to shoot and not tinker/modify
