Steve thanks for posting. First review I found of someone skiing with them. I’m thinking about getting new skis. I ski on 160 Salomon Xwings … I think they are called. I bought them at Sports Check some years ago when they were discounting skis that were sitting around for a few years. I have been on the expansion program ever since and gained about 15 pounds and somehow ended up into my 60’s lol. I think a slightly longer more stable ski is needed to assist me down the hill. I tried a pair of 163 cm 22/23’s model year for a few hours recently. They were real, real nice. If I have the mojo to ski next year I was thinking about buying the slightly used skis. Watching you rip the hill on them sure helped.
Hi Todd, you should take a serious look at the e-Rally based on your comments. The Magnum is a very lively and snappy ski and could be a little tiring for a full day or multiple days in a row on snow. The Rally has the same specs but is wider under foot and can be as responsive as you want or as relaxed as you want.
@@Steve.Dunphy Hey Steve. Thanks so much for responding. Great suggestion. They were fun for a short afternoon but at my age and shape they required a lot of effort especially at the steep hill I tried them on. I had to be focused to stay on top them. I also have to consider that at my age it gets significantly harder with each passing year than it did in my 40’s and 50’s lol. All the best.
I have these skis with the PR13 bindings. I tested them last week on an indoor slope and I had the same initiial thought as you - at low speed these skis just want to turn. Apply the slightest pressure and they turn. At higher speeds I didn't experience any vibration at all - but that may be becasue I couldn't reach very high speeds because I was indoors. I'll be using them proper in Italy next month and can't wait. Anyway, they are phenomenal skis.
Thumbs down To the cam dying lol- great to see magnums in action with a skier like that - waiting very impatiently for the e originals you hooked me up with!
