Love that blue dresser! I love the pops of color in your house! I feel like my fiancé’s parents invest in similar colored furniture and their house is goals. Like Mexican style/ colorful ceramics. It’s cool!! Also loved the paint scrapping of the round night stand. Didn’t know that stuff existed ! But I do miss the yellow/ blue 🙈. No freaking way is that canvas a shower curtain!!! You are so creative !!!!
Thanks!! That was totally brown when I got it but I chalk painted it! And I totally love that style 🙌 Pops of color just make things feel happy 😊 Thats the most fun part about repurposing furniture is that it can have constantly evolving style. In another year I might end up painting the table again! 🤷🏻♀️ And yes I literally cant wait to publish the shower curtain tutorial! It's gonna be SO GOOD! Thanks for all the kind words girl! 💖
Oh my goodness!! Why haven’t I seen you in my feed? Your videos are amazing. My husband loves “Starry Night” by Vincent Van Gogh, and we have a huge living room, so I’ve been wanting to get a large print for it. The ones I’ve seen are anywhere from $500 and up. I Am going to check out the available shower curtains and frame one myself. Thanks so much!
I recommend using tapestries for shower curtain art. You can get nice looking art that's smaller or larger when you search for "tapesty" instead of "shower curtain" and the fabric is less likely to feel and look plastic. I have a 55x48 and a 90x60 tapestry. The small one was $15 and the large $35.
Hi Cara, I’m new to your Chanel and love and want to do the shower curtain dyi, but you didn’t elaborate on the embroidery part like how to a achieve the embroidery look and what stitch and such to use. Is it possible to do a video on that using the shower. Untainted pattern.. thank you and keep up the exciting creations
Hi and welcome!! For the embroidery, I used a large needle (big enough to fit yarn) and added it by tracing the shape of the flower on the print, just back and forth until it was full. I'm honestly not amazing at embroidery so I'd maybe look up some specific embroidery tutorials if you are struggling. Hope that helps!
Love the idea of repainting the lamps! This is really a good idea, what kind of paint did you use on the different material? Also to "dress up" your doormat, genius! :D Thanks for all the inspiration
YES! Its literally SO easy and looks amazing. I first prime them with this "clean metal primer" - rstyle.me/+IaI3hatDpRFp-4JhN4ZVEQ to make sure the paint will adhere well and have a smooth finish. Then my go-to paint is this gold metallic by Rustoleum (rstyle.me/+iSMR72vPEG_YkHx_GcbM3Q) I love this gold since it gets super great coverage which can be hard to find in a gold paint and also isn't to shiny which can make things look cheap. let me know how it turns out if you try it!! 🙌
