Sweet so in short Campfire replaced by hearth Roofing Bed replaced by dragon bed Bench replaced by fine or dark wood chairs And replaced again by a throne Table replaced by long or round tables Armor stand Some banners A rug Hot tub And the Hard to get ones are the maypole and yule tree from seasonal
**Rugs no longer stack** First hot-fix after Mistlands patch removed rugs stacking comfort. I'm holding out hope that once Iron Gate is back from Christmas break they'll add rug tiers (+2 or +3 for end game rugs) so they comfort cap isn't so low.
Well they ruined this. Now the max compfort is 18. The carpets will not all give +1. Placed all them things under one roof that this person did in the video and the max compf that came out was not 23 but 18. And yes, I did lid up the bubblebath. :D
Yeah, about 1 week after the main Mistlands update they released another patch that stopped rugs from stacking. I'm hoping when Iron Gate gets back from Christmas break they add +2 or +3 to the higher tier rugs so the cap isn't so low...
Probably one of the best videos ive seen on comfort. Well done. To bad the rugs dont stack anymore. Only tip i can give this awesome video, is to place the items that override older ones, across eachother. Incase you ever do an updated version for the next content drop
I think its been long enough to say they aren't changing it. Would be nice to update the title. I about had a heart attack that I was doing something terribly wrong.
Thanks for the great breakdown. I was able to find out what is causign my problem, only one of my rugs gives me the bonus. Doesn't help fix my problem, but it narrows it down. Kudos.
They've now removed rugs each giving their own +1, so max comfort now significantly reduced :(. I'll give it another ~2weeks to see if they reverse the change or make higher tier rugs give +2 or +3 before making any more edits.
@@TaylorMB Any chance for a new video calling for the devs to stop nerfing rested and other things? Iron Gate Studios and the Valheim community really need to come together and make this game function/work so that it doesn't get lost/destroyed by upcoming titles that do everything better. And I mean everything...Valheim could be great, but devs are more interested in their vision and how they want to play over listening to the community...Mistlands is widely hated and for good reason and rather than reverting the biome back to its original concept they just delete discussions and attack the players...if the Valheim community doesn't call this crap out and defends the devs the game will for sure die, but if enough of the Valheim CC's and community push back against this and demand changes the game might live...thoughts?
The only changes I'm aware of are rugs no longer stacking, so apart from that just check everything is placed close enough you can get all the bonuses simultaneously (the layout I use in the video only has a single 2x2 tile that actually reaches every objects comfort range).
10 meters according to a Viking on Reddit. I haven't tested personally but that seems accurate (although I suspect Hearth is quite a bit further... But maybe only the fire component and not the comfort component). It's not unusual for people to hide comfort items under the floor/ground to get them all into the small ish space required to hit the maximum.
@@TaylorMB Appreciate the help once again! only reason i ask is i actually did have the thought to bury the comfort items under the floor of my lighthouse, however my floor is made of stone and i'm sure you are aware of how easily stone crumbles if it has air beneath it. It's going to hard to make it all fit into a build nicely otherwise 🤣
They changed it about a week after I uploaded this video :(. I'm holding out hope that after Christmas break they change it back (or add +2 or +3 to the higher tier rugs).
Yo I was playing around tonight I think in the hot fix banners got thrown in with rugs, or don't give at all now because I could not get my comfort +1 anywhere I put one
This is very helpfull cause i thought that carpets/rugs don't stack the bonus so i finally figured out how to get to the 21 lvl and since Christmas in near i wont have to wait longi for the yule tree and i can find the maypole on my own thank you
I think I made this before the sign colour update... or maybe it was the same update. Either way, good shout for next time a major patch drops that requires another comfort video.
Blue from pre generated mistland structures. Unfortunately the very first hot fix after mistlands they changed rugs to cap at +1, so our max rested is much reduced.
@@kirkmichaelvinceramos3866 Maypole is a seasonal item (like the Yule tree), but is only available for construction during midsummer. So you have 3 options- 1) wait for midsummer patch 2) find a natural spawn in a meadows village 3) use dev commands to spawn one in (see end of video for instructions)
@@Hasgore I have a maypole and a christmas tree. best i can get is 18 comfort. Makes sense it's 18. it was 23 before with 6 rugs. now only 1 of the rugs gives buff so 23-5 = 18.
