Fatalis incomming to the new world, this moment I have waited for a long time... Draw your swords, polish your hammers, sharpen your axes, draw your spears, reload your crossbows and prepare your bows !!! The most awaited moment has arrived after 16 years, THIS IS YOUR ANTHEM , REMEMBER IT BECAUSE YOUR LEGENDS WILL BE TOLD BY GENERTIONS. LONG LIVE THE KING OF THE KINGS MONSTER HUNTER!!.
I miss talking to the Kokoto village chief and hear his frog sounds telling us to go hunt some shit because we woke up one day and decided to become a hunter out of the blue
My favorite thing about Proof of a Hero is how rare you actually get to hear it in any of the monster hunter games, unlike other iconic video game theme songs where you just get to hear it all the time even when you are not doing heroic stuff or just staring at the main menu. Proof of a Hero only plays when you are tired, exhausted, desperate, hopeless and out of options on your toughest hunt that demands every last ounce of your skills as a hunter, the theme kicks in at the most important and intense moment of the hunt to give you the final boost of energy and courage to slay the monster, to proof you earned the title of a true hero. If they use it in every single hunt then this song definitely wouldn’t have the same amount of impact. It really shows the importance of restraint when it comes video game themes, just because you have an epic theme doesn’t mean you have to shove it up people’s ear all the time.
There's also FFXIV with the Warrior of Light's theme. "The Maker's Ruin". Only plays during during extremely important fights. Won't spoil when it is played but it's basically our Proof of A Hero. We hear it, we get a DPS boost.
Wholeheartedly agree with all of this except it's in the main menu in GU cause sometimes I just let it sit there and soak it in lol. I think it was also in the main menu in FU on the PSP but I could be wrong, been so very long since I've played my introduction to the series.
Dude youre right. It almost only plays when youre fighting the hidden final boss of the game and Im glad they kept it that way. If they played it on flagship monsters, that would take away some of the epicness of it (no offense to flagship monsters but they are mostly just mid tier or high mid tier monsters). Also, it mostly plays when youre on your last stretch of the fight, when everything is exhausted and youre on your last few potions but you can feel the momentum is on your side and you feel like you've learned the monster and just need that final boost to finish the fight. Feels amazing.
this reminds me of a dude i met online named jimmi dini. literally carted gogmazios for legit 3 hours and kept making us fail so i heard that rendition of this song so many times. imagine carting monster so badly that like 6 years later he still remembers you. (edit: 9 years now and jimmi still haunts me.)
Hunters, we’ve come a long way. We’ve stayed together and fought through it all. From our first velicoprey, to our first Fatalis. Hunters, rest for now. We’ve done a good job. We will see each other again, on the day of rise.
Just did my first solo kill on a Fatalis ever in MHW, it feels fucking amazing. I still remember almost 10 years ago when I first picked up MHFU and got scared shitless by Tigrex in that popo tongue quest, or first time seeing Lagiacrus underwater in MH Tri, or looking for breathing spots in the final arena while fighting Ceadeus in MH3U, or running out of all potions while fighting Valstrax and having to go back to camp to sleep every time my health got low in MHGU.
this is for that random japanese dude who i think it was nemari or something like that (i forgot your name was in katakana), who destroyed the behemoth using a Taroth LS and no clothes whatsoever, cheers you fucking madlad and thanks for the carry
Monster Hunter World may have been my gateway into this series but just from the music alone, the grest fights, the monsters, the characters, the environment, everything. I can see why it's so beloved by millions of people both young and old. I am proud to call you all my fellow hunters, if you will let me. Happy Hunting.
I'm glad that world exists for exactly 2 reasons...it set a new standard for the graphics and introduced many ppl to the series...but that's already it...the challenges are nerfed like hell (except rajang and picklesaurus rex...they actually buffed those two) and elder dragons are now hardly a greater threat than the great jaggi from 4 ultimate...and the handler or whatever she's called goes down in videogame history as the most annoying videogame character since fucking Navi from legend of zelda And don't even get me started on these annoying tracking missions as a desperate attempt to make the story seem longer than it is...I played through the story missions faster than a noob would die in darksouls
brosky it doesn't matter if you came from world, freedom unite, or frontier, we're all hunters, we're all members of the best game, and gaming community. you should play MHGU tho it's awesome, it is way different from world tho
@@jamiehughes5573 Hunting Horn was amazing before Rise, i would even say that Rise made it worse, not necessarily in performance (badum) but in just weapon identity and fun, previously it was this unique basically rhythm game weapon, and now its just a button mashing blunt stick that plays music, its what LS is to Lance but for Hammer. It absolutely lost its identity with what they did to it in Rise.
I remember hooking up earphones to my old PSP, and hung around in MHF2's main menu just to listen to this on repeat several years ago. Landing that dragonator on Fatalis and suddenly hearing that build-up at 0:51, I thought I was dreaming. It was me, and a few of my close friends who've stuck with me throughout the series; we had no potions, no mantles, and no time to risk sharpening. Only 7 minutes, 1 cart left and a dream. The very moment this played, chills like never before went down my spine. From the very first time I picked up the LS, to my very last hunt to conquer with the LS. I felt every dormant fiber in my body jolt- it was as if every faint, every bullshit-hitbox whiff, every hip-check, and every reverb of victory came to me all at once. It felt like I was brought back in time, to all the days of grinding drops, delivering eggs, and fainting. Even so, it'd have always brought me back to this very soundtrack. Surely enough, we finally beat it. And the taste of that very victory could've never been sweeter. Every backstory, every MH game over the years, and every hunt- all lead up to that moment. I felt a sense of accomplishment, nostalgia, hype, and excitement like no other. Well done Capcom. They've really outdone themselves on this update. (this comment would probably be buried, completely undiscovered here. But I'll definitely be back- just to relive what I wrote; and to relive the absolutely unforgettable experience.)
Don't worry it's not buried! I'm probably going to use this version of the song in my next video, it's just so much better than the in-game looping version. Specifically, the last statement of the theme ending the song lasting about a minute and a half is perfect.
I am a mh veteran I play this game since mh freedom...... Man in mhi when I Hitt fatalis with the DRAGONATOR I was like...... AAAAEEEEEEEEEWWWWWOUUUUUUU LETSSSS KILL THATT MONSTEEEERRRRRRR. UUUUUUUUUUUHUUUUUUUUUUUOOOOWWOOOOOOOO
Just watched the complete concert. Many tears of joy, so many memories. Thank you much for uploading this, it means a lot to finally be able to watch it. I hope theres another magnificent concert like this, now that the 15th Anniversary is taking place.
@@cypherusuh you should definitely listen to some mh3 & mh4 songs, they slap too, ceadeus theme is one of the best theme of all mh imho, lagiacrus theme is also a banger, and so much others
