Sharing Dr Berg notes: Having low vitamin D can affect the body in a myriad of ways-it’s important to avoid becoming deficient in vitamin D. Keep in mind that any time you take vitamin D, you should also take vitamin K2. The ratio should be 100 mcg of vitamin K2 for every 10,000 IU of vitamin D3. Being vitamin D deficient is commonly associated with symptoms like: • Bone loss • Bone pain • Low immunity • Depression • High blood pressure • Inflammation • Asthma • Poor sleep Surprising signs of vitamin D deficiency: 1. Nightmares 2. Restless leg syndrome 3. Acne 4. Bipolar disorder 5. Skipped heartbeats 6. Breathing disorders 7. Psoriasis and eczema 8. Sinus issues 9. Hay fever 10. Rapid breathing in infants 11. Recurrent tonsillitis in children 12. Structural development problems in children 13. Long COVID 14. Early puberty 15. Uterine fibroids 16. Irregular menstrual cycles 17. Longer menstrual cycles 18. Urinary incontinence 19. Vertigo 20. Sarcopenia 21. Myopia 22. Glaucoma 23. Erectile dysfunction Thank You Dr Berg! 🐱👍🏿

I have recently watched all of your vitamin D videos. I have suffered from so many of the symptoms of a deficiency. I have seen many doctors- none of whom suggested trying adding vitamin D. Well, I got your vitamin D just a few weeks ago. The first day I took it I felt a little better. It’s been 2 weeks now and I feel like a new person! I am sleeping well! My joint aches and pains are gone. My mind is not foggy. My deep bone pains disappeared. My tinnitus has toned down. Not gone , but much quieter. So many more things, I am truly amazed. A Dr👨‍⚕ advised me to take Magnesium, D3, Vitamin K2-MK7(100mcg for every 10,000iu D3) & B6-P5P(activated-pyridoxal-5-phosphate) at the same time. ➡One important function & benefit of Vitamin D3 is that it helps the body absorb Calcium which in turn plays a part in how the body absorbs Magnesium. The levels of Vitamin B6-P5P in the body determines how much Magnesium will be absorbed into the cells. Vitamin D3 ensures calcium is absorbed easily & Vitamin K2-MK7 activates the protein, osteocalcin, which integrates Calcium into bone. Without D3 & K2, Calcium can not do its job effectively. Vitamin K2-MK7 activates matrix GLA protein (MGP) to bind excess Calcium & promote arterial flow & flexibility. ➡D3 is fat soluble so the Dr said to take all these with a meal because they'll absorb better.....

I've been seeing primary Drs and other Drs for years. I like to think for the most part that I stay on top of my health and no one ever told me the importance of Vitamin D. I honestly don't mind sharing that I didn't learn about this until watching a guest on the Joe Rogan podcast speak about it relating to C19. I had to ask for a Vitamin D test and sure enough I was deficient. Be your own advocate don't just assume that your Dr is telling you everything.

I will testify that I had lower back stiffness, forearms would hurt/painful, broken rib would always hurt and there was constant pain between my shoulders before I took vitamin d. After taking VD for an extended period of time the skin on my fingers would wear away like a pair of work gloves. I reduced the amount of VD and it went away. I will also testify that when I dont take VD for a few days pain starts returning to all the areas.

Also what we need to keep in mind there are certain predicaments that make us absorb less of the D3 then the rest. Things like age, the older we get the less we absorb, being overweight, having darker skin as in absorption from the sun as dark skinned folks have natural protection but also absorb way less of the D3. All those will influence how much D3 we need. From what i read in these comments on D3 on YT people have this fear they are taking too much and end up not taking enough. Doctors are sometimes to blame as the medical industry sets very low guidelines of how much we need to take. 85+ levels are needed to fight any illness successfully. I have read books about just D3 vitamin and suggest for people to really inform themselves and don’t wait for your doctor to tell you as these doctors were not trained to prescribe vitamins. They go by the guidelines they were given which are super low. Don’t forget the big Pharma don’t want to see you healthy. The sooner you accept that the better for you.

Sway back/lordosis (impacting my sciatica) along with TMJ and a serious overbite (via bone health)... 🥴 The struggle is real. I was advised no more than 25 mcg daily. However, I don't go outside lately for a variety of reasons, and some foods I eat, I don't get the adequate amount needed. I also go online religiously as I research everything I can on homeopathic health, house renovation art and decor, and DIY lifehack tips... But the blue screen, I keep it more soft and yellowed at all times and not fully bright screened. Should I be on a higher amount of vitamin D3 dsily with this lifestyle? If so, how much mcg/IU? And need I combine other important vitamins and minerals for vitamin D to be better absorbed and beneficial? 🌸 TYSM for sharing this 🌸

So, it appears you have upped your VD3/K2 ratio. Your earlier videos stated 4000-5000/100; now you're saying 10 000VD/100K2. Is this because there is new research? Or has some agency determined this valued is safe, as opposed to the previous one? If so, please link any relevant studies, or preferably do a new video, on the topic, stating the reasons.

Having low vitamin D can affect the body in a myriad of ways-it’s important to avoid becoming deficient in vitamin D. Erectile dysfunction

Thank you Dr. Berg, for that pertinent information regarding some deficiencies that possibly are causing my disorder in the body. Luckily, I am taking supplements I just might not be taking enough or in combination with exercise to make it complete recovery.😊

Can you please clarify the link with bipolar disorder; are you saying that a Vitamin D deficiency is a symptom or cause of BD, or is it just an association.

Hi Dr Berg. Thank you for making this interesting and informative video. Myopia...hmm..I have been diagnosed with keratocornus which has made me myopic. If i think back i started becoming myopic once i moved from my native sunny all-year-round part of the world, to the Northern hemisphere and at the same time left high school where i played about 2 hours of sports a day in the afternoon sun, for university where i spent much less time indoors. Do you know if there is an association between keratocornus specifically and vitamin D3 deficiency? I would be interested to know whether there has been any improvements in cornea shape with vitamin d supplementation reported?

It's hard for me to believe you hadn't noticed the reduction in our products of this vitamin through the years with you being a doctor &/or scientist unless you haven't been this for very long. How long have you been a doctor &/or scientist ?
