Obviously not everyone either read or watched the video completely. She built this home with her father's help and guidance. Along with her brother and friends as she states in the video. For a 23 yr old to own and help build their own home is amazing. Especially in today's society. Definitely one proud and happy family. 😊 Congratulations on having such a lovely home. 😍
I can't even tell my dad I want a 500 SQ foot home without him saying that's not enough.. I'm single and plan on being single for a long time or forever and I just want something I can save money in.
This is so nice...I love it. I bet your dad would not trade the time that he had with you on this build and I'm certain is very proud of you. Thanks for sharing your home.
And Dad seems to be COOL in addition to being a great builder. You’re blessed to have such a beautiful home and to build it with your dad, Priceless!! Whoever started the Tiny house movement was such a BRILLIANT idea. I can’t imagine where the country would be if we were all still trying to achieve the pretty much UNATTAINABLE American dream home. And then these homes can be moved is awesome, and the footprint on the planet is much better!! ✌🏼Congrats!
You can see and hear the enjoyment of building her tiny with her father. I would bet it was 2 of the best years of his life working with his daughter on her tiny house. It's beautiful. Great job
Wow... I didn't buy a house until in my 30's and was almost 60 before I paid it off, but she owns her own self-built home at 23?! You go girl!!! What an amazing and BEAUTIFUL accomplishment!
@@joshlynkaufman8653 Any kid that's her age that worked a job through high school and college and had the foresight and commitment to be up for building and owning her own house at such an early age is remarkable. So many kids just want to party and buy things, living off credit, having loads of debt and never getting ahead. Instead this young woman had a dream and worked hard to make it a reality. Her dad didn't "do it for her," he did it WITH her. Yes she has an amazing support system, but she had to generate the commitment, she funded it, and she worked her jobs and built her own house apprenticing with her dad who knew how to build and so could both teach and help her. Like any loving parent, her dad was undoubtedly thrilled that she wanted to do this and thrilled to be able to help her do it. He must be incredibly proud of her, and the two years of closeness and collaboration no doubt deepened their relationship tremendously. Now he knows that just out of college his daughter owns her own house and is able to live a great life far more frugally than she otherwise would have. SHE OWNS HER OWN HOUSE FREE AND CLEAR...AT 21!!! And she can move it to wherever her life takes her! This is a seriously MASSIVE ACCOMPLISHMENT!!! Lots of kids continue to live with their parents going through college in order to make it affordable or even possible. My husband did that growing up. In fact so did his 5 siblings! Neither of his parents went to college. His mom only got through the 8th grade and his dad through high school, but all 6 of their kids got college degrees and several got advanced degrees, all while still living at home. In exchange, they worked hard in their studies and helped their parents run their farm and house, and when their folk got old, they lovingly took care of them at home to the end of their days. What's wrong with families helping one another like this??? Does this make them "privileged" or just loving supportive families who look after their own? Now days the cost of a college education is absolutely ridiculous! Kids are graduating with basically a mortgage payment before they even get a job in their profession! As a parent I would do anything to help my children succeed and get a good start in their lives, and wouldn't begrudge having them continue to live at home as long as they were working hard at a job whilst studying seriously to get their college degree. What parent wouldn't try to do that for their hard working child if they could? The loving, supportive, energy of this entire family is inspiring and commendable. How sad that you would see this the way that you do...and squash her beautiful accomplishment with your cynical, invalidating comments. I sincerely wish you well.
As a Father of a 21 year old daughter, I absolutely love this. What a beautiful home, and what an amazing joy for her Dad. That time spent together will never be forgotten. 💙👍 The little clips of you two together literally made me tear up...and not much does that. This is truly beautiful
I love that. And I love that she really appreciates how much he helped. I would LOVE to do this with my dad but I dont think he'd be interested and I just hate rejection
@@smvfc I owned a construction company for 16 years so I'm really hoping my daughter wants to do this at some point. 🙂 I think this should be mandatory,it would help so many families stay a lot closer
@@smvfc He may say no at first for whatever reason. However, he may say yes. Bit if you don't ask, it will most likely never happen. Maybe you could share with him the video, or a simpler design. Give it a shot!
So impressed by this young woman and her family/ extended family! How hard everyone worked to build and finish this perfect little house! Congrats on building yourself a house AND financial freedom! Yay you!
@Darkhorsepodcastclips281 Your trolling whatsapp on this thread is inappropriate. Please troll elsewhere. Would be nice to have the power to block you but perhaps the content creator will see my comment and handle it.
You can do it. Probably cost like $40k. Try to make deal with construction contractors if you happen to know any house being built, ask for woods, he or she may have extras for sale cheap. It worked out for me good. Please avoid containers. Trust me.
Amanda: You and your dad (and your whole family actually) did an amazing job building your tiny home! It’s absolutely beautiful!!! How cool that you got to learn from your dad? That’s time that you both will remember forever! I’m always so happy to see young people realizing the benefits of going tiny. You rock girl. Congratulations on your home.
As a tile installer I appreciate hearing Amanda say that "installing tile wasn't her jam". Also, that tile shape is a challenge to install even if you know all the tricks. Great Home, thanks for sharing!
I like that she recognizes some of her privilege. And really, this is such a great example, IMO, of how families and community should come together, supporting each other thriving and finding their, personal success. ❤️
Indeed. It's always mystifying to me that so many people seem jealous of people who have supportive families, as if that should disqualify them. Who ever heard of a rule that all tiny homes must not exceed a certain size, or price, and must be built or installed with no help from anyone else? It's so lovely to see people helping people.
Privilege??! She worked her butt off since high school holding down 2 jobs, and she didn’t play the victim, but instead used her God given intelligence, and incredible in-site to do something creative & smart with the money she EARNED! With her DRIVE, this girl could probably be President one day! Privilege has nothing to do with it.
@@silverfoxsmith8582 uh…she did indeed do all of that…and she acknowledged what, apparently, you’re not seeing. Which is commendable, on her. Certainly wasn’t a slight on her…unless you think that, actually acknowledging the blessings you have, that you didn’t do anything to gain, like IDunno, being born into a loving stable home, living in a equitably prosperous area, having college paid for (as random examples). Didn’t she have help in this? Maybe even a leg up? Anything that gave you platform from which to do great things, that you simply find available to you and did nothing yourself, to create or earn, is…what? I mean, privilège is a word. I didn’t create it. But hey…you ever think that your god works in mysterious ways? Maybe they give you some lessons to learn that, IDunno…you might not recognize right off? For instance…why are you so defensive over someone commending another human for expressing humility? Does your god not promote that? And, I mean, “god given”…did she give those things to herself or…I’m confused. Anyway…maybe check out why you’re defensive, inside a situation that literally expresses nothing but positive & certainly nothing negative that affects YOU.
@@chezmoi42 100%. I really love that she acknowledged those things that helped her achieve her dreams. It’s beautiful to have support, community & security. I wish everyone to have that. It’s just a beautiful thing, too and a beautiful example, to acknowledge those things. It may even influence ppl to take a look at the privileges they’ve been graced with, more & maybe even move them to contribute to others, in kind. Which…that’s the ultimate beautiful thing IMO.
So we shouldn’t promote gratitude and humility for fear of a thoughtless judgment of jealousy? Are you under the impression that you got where you are, today, all by yourself?? I’m sure it’s mystifying to you that SO MANY PEOPLE seem jealous…anything is mystifying when you haven’t done anything to demystify it and instead, just sit there, with your mystery, judging others as though you aren’t mystified at all. So many people…they’re all jealous. Fuck promoting good human qualities. They’re wasted, apparently, as SO MANY PEOPLE are SO OBLIVIOUS and far too busy being suspended in the mystery of what they refuse to learn. IME…those people are only blinded by and to their privilège. Comfy place when you don’t have to think of anyone other than yourself. Jezuz Christ…
Man, I can only imagine where I would be at life if I had it together like Amanda at that age. If only! Beautiful home and what a treasure trove of memories she and her dad have with building this house together. It's all so great but I especially love that green tile in the bathroom. Wishing her many years of happiness in her cozy and comfy TH.
This girl has a real practical head over her shoulders… Has worked her ass off to fulfill her dream of her own tiny house 🏠…. And a beautiful one too… very well thought out. Wishing her a happy stay in her home & life …🤞👍
This young woman is a real testimony to the younger generation doing great things. How impressive that she has been so responsible and focused on improving her life in financial and wise ways. Wow! Her parents have to be so proud of her. Way to go, Princess!!! Great Daddy too!!! He has been a huge force in giving you a strong work ethic early on. I'm so happy for you!!!
Hey Miss 23yr old. I think you and your Dad did a mighty fine job on your "tiny house" for the size and length. The floor plan seems well thought out, utilizing the space --benefits, and the decor, yes quite appealing with charm.
She obviously earned every bit of this wonderful tiny house. I love how much she appreciated the time with her father and family during the build. He must be extremely proud of her. Why can't more youth be so inspiring and capable?
This is the most elegant design that I have seen on the market. Everything blends in nicely and I like the colors of the interior and exterior materials. Full-sized bathroom with a full-sized washer/dryer is priceless. The skylight is brilliant to make more headroom. I think your sofa and coffee table are so simple and practical to take up less room on one end. I love your kitchen and agree with the wall shelves to open up the room. You got good taste, gal. Well done! I think this is my favorite tiny house of all.
Credit to this talented young homeowner 👏👏how wonderful the project was completed alongside her Dad. Most impressive and a great example hard work pays off ..
Wow, I’m so impressed! You should be so proud. This is my plan in 3 years but I’m old enough to be your mom. Be glad you went after one of your dreams at this young age.
I absolutely love this build. She’s young enough to build a really good savings doing this. The quality time she spent with her father building this is priceless!!!! Well done!
I imagine she also learned a great deal of life skills in building this home that will serve her forever. She will be able to maintain this wonderful place.
I'm glad she acknowledges her privilege and I'm glad her dad supported her hard work and saving up her own money instead of doing all for her. That's a family with good values.
What a well-spoken, dedicated woman and such a beautiful home. One of my favorites that I've seen. So lovely to see the home she created with her loved ones. I really appreciate how humble she is and how she thanks each and every person who took part in the project. Nice all around!
What a beautiful home for a well-adjusted, resourceful young lady. Financial freedom is great to have at a young age. Way to go. Really love ❤️ the well thought out kitchen. Best wishes
Incredible home! Her story is so terrific. Not only is she a breath of fresh air, but I LOVE this was a father-daughter labor of love project ❤️❤️❤️ This home is fantastic… for better than any expensive apartment… and ALL HER OWN! If only there were many more young people like her our future would be bright ☀️
This is really nice! I'm so proud of you, you can see where your money went too from working your ass off. And your dad is a big blessing to you and a great father my hat is off to y'all job well done👌💃💃💃
With all your utilities paid with your rent you are way ahead. Our light bill was 270 and 40 for water. You are very smart to do things this way . You will always have a home . Freedom is a beautiful thing .
What an inspiration you are!! 23 y.o.????? Oh my goodness ~ you are incredible ~ such a beautiful home you have created! Continue to enjoy your adventurous life ~ sending you light, love, peace, joy and abundance always. I love you.
Love love love it girl, you obviously have a good head on your shoulders and you should be soooo proud. Keep it up!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽 And kudos to your awesome parents!
Great job and congratulations on working so hard and having a dad like that ... You go get whatever else ya want too.. such a positive female role model.
If I could live my life over, this would definitely be an option. It's so wonderful that you could spend that time with your dad and learn lots of new skills. You did an awesome job!
What's an absolute luck and privilege to have family members that work in the business and can weld, build, lay carpets etc. and are so supportive and generous with their time and energy. She must've learned so much from them all and hopefully feels blessed every single day for what she has.
Smart girl that planned for her future by building herself a tiny home. We live in Wa. State too & houses for sale & for rent are almost as expensive as California. Too many people are moving to our state & driving up the cost of everything. That is a nice dad that helped her build her home
Smart, smart young woman who is also openly humble & grateful to her family, especially her dad, to help her achieve her goals. Also, has a great work ethic 👌. Her tiny home is as lovely as she is…
Super smart girl! This is the way to go if you have a place to park it. And she isn’t all crammed into an RV park. Wayyyyyy better then renting an apt.! Very nice. Love the kitchen especially! 👍
So proud of this young lady! Amanda you successfully made your dream come true with the help of your Dad & other family members! Love your tiny home! Very warm & cozy! "CONGRATULATIONS"!👍🤗
