Hi, do you think I could have my son send me his fingerprints on a piece of paper or something else so that I could transfer his print to a matt? I am thinking, a person could dust a minimal amount of mica on the print. He lives in Germany and I am in the USA.
Watching now but wanted to mention that when my mother passed, they put her thumbprint on a necklace pendant for me (as part of the funeral/memorial package from the funeral home), and it is one of my most cherished possessions. Seeing this idea on your channel makes me excited! I want my son's fingerprint... my boyfriend... everyone (lol) so that I can preserve a piece of them forever no matter what. Thank you for sharing this!!
@@daniel..cooper indeed! I find grieving is a wee bit easier when you have something representing the loved one as a keepsake. (Tattoos also help, but not everyone is into that lol). Bless you and sorry to hear you have also lost your mom (mum) ♥
Same! I've used a label maker to print my husband's fingerprints and then embedded the clear labels into resin as pendants and I even made myself a ring! It's helping the tiniest bit but I'm so glad funeral homes do this now!
Speaking of feet.. 😂 Baby toes would be an adorable gift. Just tack them all together with UV and add a bale. It’d make a really cute gift, as a Nana I can definitely say I’d love it! As usual well done Daniel!❤
Michaelangelo, Leonardo DaVinci, Mozart, Vangogh, and Daniel Cooper ♥️! I have never missed one single video you've put up, (on RU-vid). I have been hooked since your very first one. It has been so fun to watch you come out of your shell and out from behind the camera! You are a delight to watch and I look forward to watching your videos forever ✨️. God bless you and your family too.
Very cool! That could become a very treasured memento. I didn't know two fingerprints together would make a heart! You could make one of the fingerprints and a loved one could make the other! That would be amazing!
Oh my what’s this?! 😊 If only I knew this in 2022! I could have my late husband’s fingerprints in a pendant. ❤I couldn’t split his ashes as I didn’t feel I could although I do understand those that do.❤ thank you Daniel. 👍☺️
I’ve done this with my granddaughter, a present for her dad for Father’s Day. I done the whole 2 hand print in a tray, I never thought about doing it in jewellery before. Great idea thank you Daniel 😊
just finished watching! These are so precious! I love it. Definitely going to utilize this method in the near future. I hope to visit my son in a few months (we are 1000 miles apart) so I will DEFINITELY at the very least get his fingerprint(s) when I'm there!
@@daniel..cooper sure is!! He's been away for 1.5 year now. He met his girlfriend online in 2021 and the rest is history lol. Thank you for responding and for your awesome tips and tricks!!
Keepsakes are my thing! Wonder if this could be done with a pet paw 🤔, one toe maybe. I may have to try it 😁. Please keep going with the texture series.
After watching your masking tape video I made some earrings using burlap. They turned out pretty good. I just used plain and then coated them with a modpodge type stuff, both worked. I love all the ideas you come up with!
Every parent and grandparent should have s full set of these for all kids and grandkids, both hands. 😉 Would make interesting necklaces if you put the fingerprints in order, five on each side with a picture pendant hanging in the middle. Perfect keepsake. 😁👍 Love your videos, as always. ❤️
This is an amazing idea. I've seen them done with handprints of kids in a coaster but that's about it. You open door ways for lots of ideas. I'd love to try this with my kids to make a pendant. Another great video and thanks for the inspiration ❤
Thank you 😊 My wife had an idea earlier, she said I could make one like the freeform vid I did and have our 3 kids fingerprints linked underneath ours as the main piece, that would be awesome! 🤩
My sister-in-law has a rare firm of cancer that is terminal. I’m going to try making two hearts for her two daughters. Thank you so much for sharing tgis video.❤
LMAO I love your introductions makes me laugh every time. Just love your videos so awesome and now jsut when you think he doesnt have anything BANG you come out with this Brilliant !!!
❤ yet again your amazing ideas, got to say you are a fav of mine . I love the fact that it’s not using a large amount of resin and so special and personal. Thank you for all your videos and please keep on going . Come on everyone subscribe.
Hey Daniel! So cool! I wonder if you could cure a thin layer of black resin into a bezel, put your fingerprint onto the black, then dome with clear. The bezel would have a bale , so no need to drill.
I did this with the tape they sell for bezels. I used mica powder directly on the tape after applying bezel. I did apply thin coats of black, then dome with clear. Problem I think for me is the mica powder. I can see print but more so if I'm tilting it around. I need to know what kind of nail powder Daniel used. Maybe more reflective.
Cool idea. I think of you were going to use them for identification purposes or wanted them to be extra clear I'd make sure to do them on the shiny side of the mat.
I tend to leave way too many fingerprints in my work as is, but not in a good way. I think this could be a smash hit on a craft fair. People would love getting something really personalized, if you could make them on the spot somehow. Maybe with those affordable pendant blanks. Would the fingerprint stick on cured resin, or is it too slippery. If you'd make premade pendant blanks with a thin layer of black already on them, and maybe even fitting cabuchons with clear, then you could just ask people to press their finger on the black resin surface, add some clear resin, the cabuchon and cure everything together.
100% The lamp is portable too, it can be done onto the resin but ideally the resin would need to be tacky but then that's not 100% safe, this is the safest way I think 😊
