The best teacher would be her mother, GM Pia, and Anna would learn a lot just by reviewing the videos of her games which her mother analyzes while she is playing. I have never seen anyone who can analyze position as quickly in the moment!

Anna, you have every reason to be so proud of yourself in this game. Your time management was great along with the high accuracy too! It ended in a draw, but still perhaps a milestone game for you. Congrats!

Yes! And let's not forget that on psychological terms this draw was a good decision. As Anna said it gave her confidence. That's important because 1. positive enforcement 2. not to get distracted by stress and pressure ingame. GG

Well done Anna. Your time management is better. It really gives you many more options so you aren't always worried about the clock. You can then plan out your game in a more comfortable position.

Thank you Anna. As a beginner I enjoy your commentary and description and wonder if one day I will be able to 'describe' a game of my own. I think only when I am able to do so, will I say of myself that I have some understanding of the game! However, I'm quite pleased with my progress with online chess puzzles this year.

Towards the end after checking with the h pawn, there was a trade-off at E8 starting w/ R-E8 ck that looked interesting for winning chances . However, a draw against a stronger opponent is always satisfying. Nice game! FREE

Clickbait. What Anna could have used as a title was "How I agreed a draw against a 2300 in a won position". That's according to the bar on the left. But I have to say it's not easy to spot how ... and Anna's analysis (and her mum) don't reveal it.
