More specifically, we will be looking at the scenario type questions.
Although intended for the Inspection and Test exams, this video is also good practice for other electrical exams, where all learning is good learning.
Scenario type questions will often come up in 2391 style exams and we have set a scenario here, with a range of questions for you to attempt and answer.

Question 8: options (a) and (c) are mathematically identical.

They are, but which one answers the question ... The R1+R2 test results can be used to calculate the earth fault loop impedance by using which formula… The only answer that tells you Zs is answer a. That's why I said at the beginning, always choose the most appropriate answer, the one that answers the question. thanks for watching. Dave.

Please help me to understand the higher resistance values at question 4. The resistance of 1 mm2 copper is 0.0175 Ohm/m. Why calculate with 0.0181? Maybe because of temperature? Thanks!
@learnelectrics4402
@learnelectrics4402 8 месяцев назад
Have a look at appendix I1 in OSG or Table 1 in GN3. Both tellus to use 18.1 miili ohms per metre for copper cable. Hope this helps.

Hello. Beneficial videos created, just one thing: QUESTION 4 in the video, does 0.604 is rounded to 0.61 not to 0.60 what is 0.6 actually? Thank you
@learnelectrics4402
@learnelectrics4402 3 месяца назад
The video shows that some exam questions will always round up, some always round down. Other questions will round to the 0.5 division. BUT ... the possible answers will always be clear as to which is correct one to choose. you will never get possible answers as A, 0.60 - B 0.61 etc. A lot depends on how many decimal places you use in calculations too. Hope this helps.

You used 2 different slides for question 2 with 2 different question endings but I suppose an R1+R2 test also does CPC continuity.

@10:30 We rounded to the nearest hundredths place. The 0 in the hundredths place rounds up to 1 because the digit to the right in the thousandths place is 6. 0.41 When the digit to the right is 5 or greater we round away from 0. 0.406 was rounded up and away from zero to 0.41 so how come it is 0.61?
@learnelectrics4402
@learnelectrics4402 8 месяцев назад
We have specifically said Rounded Up as this is often happens with exam answer lists. The important thing is that you choose the most appropriate answer. Whether it is 0.61 or 0.60 doesn't matter when choosing a set and fixed answer from the list. Hope this helps. Good luck with the exams and thanks for watching. Dave.

10 out of 10 is a great score. I will be publishing some more on 2391 soon and I do believe that next weeks video is 18th Edition Exam help (2382). Good luck with your exams. Dave.
