Thanks Ben ive watched that. Is the orange a spare for that black band? Sorry dont get it. The black one comes with it and I get how that works to keep the fabric in when packing up. But nowhere in the video do you show what you do with the spare orange elastic cord.

@@theyseeuswalking5124 I see what you are referring to. My apologies, I must have forgotten about this in the video. It is used to make pack up easier by attaching it to the little plastic rings that are between the door and the storage pockets on each side of the tent. It should fit taught so that as the canopy is closed it pulls the fabric inside to stop it getting caught up in the shell. I hope that makes sense. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoors Agree. And if you are a Dual cab ute owner like me, having that much weight mounted on a rear canopy has the tent acting like a big pendulum. In an ideal world it needs to weigh 1/2 of the listed weight. Keep up the great reviews Cheers

As long as you pack it up dry and make sure the seal is bedded nicely around the edge then you should be fine. Id doesn't hurt to open it up and inspect it now and then, maybe leave it open to air out whenever you get the chance too. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoors no he's is correct and both the video and what's on your web site is incorrect. To quote from the 23zero Australia site "Weight incl. rebound foam mattress & anti condensation mat: 87Kg" your web site states 108kg with foam mattress (21kg out).

@@peterrichardson8671 it looks like 23Zero have changed some of the details on their website, I've updataed this on our website but it is still roughly right. The weight of the tent with foam mattress is 87kg, add ladder at 6kg and roof bars and brackets at 10kg and you get 103kg. The inner spring mattress will add 12kg to the total weight, and the 125kg we mention is the total weight of the product in it's packaging, i.e. how much you'l need to account for when picking it up from the shop or having it shipped. Am I missing something? ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoors 87kg for the tent alone instead of 108kg is pretty clear and I agree with your video where you then add the bars, brackets and ladder. It's helpful when you're interested in the dynamic load for the roof. I only mention it because weight is a huge factor in deciding on a rooftop tent and you can see some comments here where there's confusion about dynamic loads and even you rule the tent out for most because it's over 100kgs. 87kg for the tent alone + 6kg for the ladder + 10kg for bars and brackets + 11kg innerspring mattress = 114kg. I think the industry norm is not to include the ladder or brackets in the base tent weight but perhaps 23zero made a mistake initially, still it's worth updating your information considering the considerable difference in weight.

@@peterrichardson8671 I see where the confusion is, I mention 108kg for the tent in the video. Perhaps I had limited information when we shot the video. I usually confirm weights before shooting vids but it's a bit hard to weigh a rooftop tent. Not sure we'll get to reshooting the video, but the details on our website are correct to the best of our knowledge now. It is important information, as you mention, and something that many people overlook. ~ Ben

Hi Paul, I assume you mean the racks that go in the tray of a dual cab?? If so, then yes, they should accommodate the rooftop tent in the same manner, as long as all clearances and weights are considered. 23Zero actually have their own, check them out here - www.snowys.com.au/rear-tub-racks. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoors So I take it 23Zero is an OZ company since they called it a Tub Rack instead of Bed Rack or Overland Rack. They make a quality Camping shower too. So that makes 3 OZ co. in my camping gear folder of my Overlanding 101 series of videos thanks to your stores product videos

None as far as we are aware @Phil Cusick - 23Zero just use different names for the AUS and USA markets. The Kabari is just the USA name. ~ Lauren

Provided you live in a regular residential address then it will go to your door. If you are not home at the time it may be taken back to the depot, but there are options in our checkout for which you can nominate what to do in this instance. ~ Ben
