Diwali memory: my father is in the airforce so we have to shift houses every 2-3 years due to postings..last to last year my family had to leave Delhi and move to Jodhpur on the day before diwali. I was lonely and was missing my friends from Delhi... and suddenly on the day of diwali the whole compound of people came visiting our house to wish us and make us newcomers feel comfortable...it was so sweet of these entirely strange people to care for our needs...we became a huge family after that day😊

I am a Muslim but i give gifts to my friends. I have a really interesting Diwali memory of 2019. A friend (Neha)of mine came to my house on diwali but i wasn't there i was on my other friend's (shalini)house to give here a diwali gift and she came to my shalini's house and i was in my other friend's house (Jhanvi) and she finally met me after 4 hours of here and there. That day was a memorable day. 😂😂😂😂😂

My fav. Diwali memory is.... All we 15-16 houses in our lane... Make a common long continuing Diwali rangoli in front of our doors... I.e.it starts with the corner house of one end... Nd completed on another end of lane... And it's been continuous 11 years for us to do this... We enjoy tha whole Process of rangoli and celebrating Diwali all together🥰🥳✨🌟

Diwali Memory : I think this Diwali is the most memorable one for me, because of the corona thing going on everyone are at home, this would sound normal but before corona each and every member of our family were in different places because of work and schooling purpose but this year almost every festival was soo good because we all were together Almost every process involved in Diwali preparation was soo good because we did it together Firstly I enjoy cleaning but this time I enjoyed it more The result of decorating our house would make us feel so happy and satisfied Happy Diwali to everyone in advance!! Im nepali and in diwali we play dheusi/bhaili we make a group wear traditional attires play madal (dhol basically) sing traditional songs and go house to house dance and sing and they offer some chawal flowers and money and while leaving the house we bless them with laxmi mata ka bhajan. Im doing this since my childhood and now im 25 🙃

I can consciously recall are the ones where I wasn't old enough to light a rocket. My dad would do that and I would watch in awe as it shot up and filled the sky with colourful lights. Then I grew up, I moved out and spent a few Diwalis away from home as well. The essence of the festival changed for me over time. Bursting crackers is no longer a priority because now I am aware of its adverse effects. As kids we never cared. But apart from crackers, there are certain things that will always remind us of Diwali. Here are Diwali memories I have , which are very nostalgic: 1. Getting countless boxes of dry fruits a week before Diwali. 2.Or a box of Cadbury chocolates. 3.Those say 'no to cracker' posters we made in school.

Diwali memory : In West Bengal we celebrate kali pujo during Diwali as well. So pandal hopping in kali pujo is mandatory with tasty "maa er bhog" and also visiting non-Bengali friends' houses and eating lots of sweets with them.

My favourite Diwali memory- When after bursting the crackers we came downstairs and have great tea with all the kachoris and other food (probably the 3rd round of dinner) with whole family and gossiping random things and making fun of each other and having fun and just when we are about to sleep, people near my home start burning the big crackers and they are too loud, at that time everyone in the colony is out. This happens literally at 2am, every year. 😂

Heyy Mridul, I'd love to share my Memory with you. So, around the time of Diwali, When I was about 12yrs old I went shopping with my family for sweets, and I kept saying that we should instead ask my grandmom for sweets cause she was an awesome cook and that childish persuasion motivated my grandmom to start her sweets home supply store exactly the next Diwali, and this has been the fondest memory of all my life.

My fav memory of diwali was when i got hurt from dias. Actually i was wearing a sari and i stood against a wall and a dia was kept beside and my sari's end part caught fire and started burning and soon i saw and started calling everyone to help me... Then soon my daughter bought a bucket of water and then i got a sigh of relief..... Thank god.... But still i accompanied my daughter in burning the firecrackers.... fav diwali memory-when we used to build mud forts (killa),playing uno, rangolis, snacks and bursting crackers and rockets which once landed in our neighbours terrace .We were scolded for that but this year lets say no to crackers and air pollution & enjoy diwali in ecofriendly manner.. :)

The memory I have from diwali, was from the last diwali ..What happened was that I was so scared of burning jameen chakri but my father told me just try it for once and I try and again the same thing happened which makes me not to burn jameen chakri .As I burn it it just caught fire very quickly and it started rounding and the sparkles came on my legs and it just hurt my leg 😀 And happy diwali to you and your family also 🙏🙏lots of love diii ❤️❤️❤️

Doneee I remember when I was just in fourt std and there was painting going on at my house so I heard both the painters talking in their lunch break and one of them said to other that I saw a shirt of rs 100 bt paise nhi that isisliye nhi le paayaa... I had 120 rs saved from my pocket money and I went and gave him that❤️❤️❤️... diwali memory: we live in mumbai and my entire family lives in Kolkata and we cant go for diwali every year. but last year ALL of my family came together to wish us cause I had my 10th and couldnt travel as such. that was the first time in 5 years that my ENTIRE family came together. It was the best day full of nostalgia and diwali spirit+ family spirit all together🥰🥰
