not only with foreigners but also Indians . I was trying to take a shot and the people standing there kept encouraging me 💀 and didn't let me go too close to the gate
@@stacyjenns3906sorry to say but I've traveled from flights even in economy but never found any washroom dirty in flights fortunately, flights attendants are extra careful and make sure that every person flushes and most flight have sensors to ensure that people flush
@@subhii9105 yeah but the way they wrote this it felt they're saying this about india and idk about their flight coz I've traveled multiple times with flights and never encountered a dirty toilet and yes I mostly take economy
1 out of 10 compare to what tickets cost in indian trains for 1st ac, 2nd and 3rd aswell. The amount is more than twice the amount of what private air conditioner buses charges and we don't get cleanliness for a mere 10 to 11 hour journey
@@UnLish2 You sure? If she actually gave 3/10 or 2/10 she would get canceled and a bunch of hate from Indians. Good on her to give 8/10 to avoid conflict.
@@UnLish2 I am an Asian guy who has traveled America, Europe, Asia, and some part of Africa. I'd rate 9/10 to 1AC. It is basically like a private hostel. Clean, safe (road and flight accident), and super convenient (better than flight or bus). Everything is clean including bathroom. The cleaning staff work well. Little to no disturbance. I'd give it a 9.5/10. The only con is no designated space for smoking (whether at station or on train). Couples or small groups will love 1AC. I tried 2AC too and it is very nice for medium to large families or friends. Not so private but quite clean and safe. Don't know about solo female travelers safety because of curtains. But with the price, service is quite good. I haven't tried 3AC but I've walked through these coaches and they look quite okay. Might be suitable for solo female travelers because it is open. Fairly clean (tolerable according to international standards). Price is also way more affordable than other AC classes. I tried sleeper for solo travel. It was so affordable. Recommended for male groups or solo male who don't mind lack of cleanliness and noise. Toilets are filthy. For shoestring budget, this is okay. Not very convenient but tolerable if you are broke and strong.
As an indian living in Singapore and previously lived in Japan and Dubai , I would give this 1/10. India still had a lot of catching to do, in terms of train quality and hygiene.
Have you travelled in first class like ever to say that 😂😂 and leave alone the better trains, India has like some of the best experiential trains if u have the money ...
@@krypt2k25bro event first class has nothing major. The biggest comfort differentiator is noise floor, indian train of any class is extremely noisy as there are little to no soft touch things. Secondly, the toilets you can book any class any train and they stink. Trains outside wre leagues ahead. Half of passengers in our first AC/2nd AC are govt employees, railway people who have 0 manners or cleanliness.
@@vismithahv3837if your legs hurt for just the amount of time you poop then you have very weak bones ans muscles. People are just getting weaker as more and more leisure lifestyle they are adopting
@@sahilverma7045definitely have to agree with that one, humans were built for using nature as a toilet and squatting down, guess toilets have made us weaker😂
Agree!!! One once went to the Bengaluru T2 airport, there even tho the floor was clean and all people omg!! They are so shameless there was urine droplets everywhere in the toilet and the used toilet sheets were lying here and there. Its disgusting to use it and it is more disgusting to clean it people should have little empathy towards the one clean their mess.
@@Dancerboi123 yes that to the world most beautiful airport. It was nice and clean but people literally have no standards you have a toilet seat cover just place it do your business and throw them proplerly in the distbin no people are to entitled to do these things. Be it Trains or Airports People have no etiquettes
I remember not eating a lot while on the train here that was 36 hours long (one way and I did that twice) just so that I wouldn't go to the washrooms. Yeah 8/10 seems pretty high 😂 and I've been in this country all my life.
In my 22 years of life in India let me say I've ridden a lot of trains and 8/10 is extremely generous comparing it to other international train services in terms of comfort and hygiene. But ig the latest Vande Bharat has high standards though I personally haven't travelled in one yet.
Bro some people knowingly make the trains dirty… you may think why right? Well, for the same reason they pelt stones on these trains… India has always been humiliated by Indians only 😢
The Indian bathroom is basically just a ground-level commode. You have to squat to use it. If you're travelling, always use the Indian option, if available. It will help prevent UTIs because it reduces contact with exposed surfaces.
First try asking TTR to clean the bathroom if they don't do it in next 2 hours just go to Indian railways grivence portal and choose hygiene and put a request to clean the toilet and then they'll clean it within next station. Works all the time
You just need to one call on "139" and they will come and clean that on the next station. I would say that in the top tier coach toilet shouldn't be any problem but still if you find the toilet stinking in "Sleeper or AC" just call 139..they will come on next station and clean that.
I rarely use toilet in indian railways 😂 Back when I was a kid i used to go from Delhi to banglore in a 36 hr train journey so I always used to poop at my home and then poop after reaching Bangalore, which let to stomach problems sometimes Never had the courage to do it in train😂😂
Very very generous rating of 8/10...as an indian I wont be surprised if you rate it 1/8 😄....we need more visitors like you who take anything as adventure.
You're still so generous enough to describe it like this. Our train quality, especially for first class I've heard was extremely good back in the 90s or early 2000s.. They had THE quality. Well served dishes with noodles, sandwiches and whatnot. Now, it has deteriorated so damn much. Needless to say, I've beautiful memories of my childhood in those trains and I've always loved the sound of it. But yes, as I grew older, I started paying more attention to the journey rather than the destination (I only used to be concerned with cleanliness of my train beds and how fast I'll reach my destination). Now, I don't dislike it but yeah, cleanliness sucks here. I'd still choose the railways though.

being an Indian, the worst thing about the entire experience is the lack of hygiene in Indian train toilets, even in premium rajdhani express. it's high time the railway authorities spread awareness and also make sure the toilets are clean and functional throughout the journey. it's ridiculous, currently.
@@ayushmaangoswami5152 i don't know for guys but girls have to sit on western seat seat their all thigh area is in contact with that surface while in Indian style you are in air, hence no transfer of germs
@@siyabhardwaj007 ah, for shitting in a train I think Indian styles are better I agree. You've a good point... To be honest I have never taken a shit while in a train, the overall unhygienic conditions are enough to prevent me from doing so.
@@ayushmaangoswami5152 You should try bro. The experience is awesome. every time you poop out the wind will come and touch the a$$hole and cool the insides. And no matter how hard you shit, people outside won't hear you, reassuring you to shit harder. I love shitting in trains.
There is no way I would do this. 😩 I feel like in my early 20’s I’d be so down, as I’ve gotten older these types of adventures now look like nightmares. But I’m glad this makes you happy, girl!
Welp I have went on first AC cabins (the one she went in) and I think that it's a 10/10. My little cousin who came with us loved playing with the other kids in our cabin!
the reason i avoid taking the train is BECAUSE of the toilets, i had a long train journey from delhi to guwahati once and i didnt limited my food as well as water intake for the entire ride
As an Indian myself, I try to avoid eating much so as to not get compelled to use the toilet. Tho as a man, it's relatively easier to use the toilets just for urination, but still, it stinks.
8/10 is extremely generous. Personally as an indian used to this, I'd personally give it a 3. Plus its the cleanest washroom I've ever seen on a train in India lol
Why they don't clean the train washroom properly whats wrong with them😠😠just hire some cleaning staff haiyaa🤦♀️🤦♀️... As Indian I avoid traveling in train only just because of this reason.🙎🙎
The staff clean the toilets of the train but the people riding in the trains don't have a single manner on using public toilets. They don't even bother flushing the toilet after doing their business.
I laughed at your wrong platform and jumping into a rmoving train compartment and finding your way.. Its nostalgia for me.. Those were the days ..my friend...la la la la😜😄🤪
You are very generous, even on the premium trains when you start journey from initial station and you go to washroom at start of journey you will say "WOW", and after 4-5 hours of journey when you will go again you will say "Aaargh" 😂
Bathroom condition in train is very bad in our country but now days bathroom are quite clean comparatively few years back(like bande bharat,rajdhani)...my suggestion is if you get dirty bathroom you can complain in a number which is provide on your compartment where you can complain or you can say to the train's staff or ticket cheker...
I'd give it a 9/10. We traveled around India in 1AC cabin and it was honestly very nice. The only con is not being allowed to smoke anywhere. Not through the door, not at the stations. That sucks. I survived a 33 hour journey by smoking through the door twice while my wife and son were keeping watch for the railway staff. 😂
@@PhoenixAviation006 I am safe and back home in my country. But I don't think anyone would have arrested me for smoking a cigarette out of the door. I opened it and exhaled the smoke outside. The most would have been a fine for smoking. It wasn't like I was endangering other passengers or causing damage to the train. Smoke didn't even enter inside the coach. Risks of fire is totally BS. I'm sure they cook on the same train and most of them would also smoke. It is kind of stupid preventing people from smoking while cigarettes are still being sold.
@@PatilAbasaheb0902 We are nomads now based in Germany. Yes, it is allowed here. There are separate smoking compartments. Almost every country we've been to allows smoking or have designated smoking areas. Some of them even allow public smoking but it is common sense not to smoke around other people unless they are smoking too. In some countries, it is not allowed to smoke on trains but it is allowed to smoke at stations. India is weirdly strict about it even compared to other Asian countries. People are gonna smoke whether allowed or not as long as cigarettes are being sold. Authorities should make rules accordingly and accommodate both non-smokers and smokers. We are all humans and we know where we should smoke and where we should not. I think it should be fine as long as there are no fire hazards, throwing cigarette butts or annoying other people.
@@hijkl9876 ok agreed as per your country standards smoking is allowed but with some reasons in India not allowed 👍 anyways I think enjoyed to visit my country n also appreciate the words n thoughts of yours . Namste 🙏.

Wow! Been there done that. I've taken the train from Chennai to Rajahmundry on several occasions. It's a real experience for a basic white dude from Alabama.
You should have booked Rajdhani Tejas.. that train is really awesome.. I took it only for one time but the toilet didnt smell but instead it had freshners and it was clean.. also it has very clean interiors.. I would give it 10/10 according to other Indian train comparison
As an Indian, I would rate most trains 4-5/10. I cannot comprehend your 8/10 😅 The washrooms are a catastrophe, bedding and coaches unclean, crap food , horrible AC settings, and uncomfortable seating. I hope the railway ministry steps up and does shit because we’ve barely seen any development (I’m talking about the services available for the common man) in this sector in decades. It’s high time.
I am so happy you tried an Indian train. In my opinion it is better then a flight even tho i am used to sitting in a fight but the only problem in a Indian train is the hygiene 😂❤🇮🇳
Now suggest you to try New Semi bullet Vande bharat express sleeper train in first class your mind will be shocked to see development and cleanliness of Indian Trains nowadays.
"concerned as to what the Indian bathroom meant". Got to love the subtle racisms there implying it meant some kind of quality to worry over and not toilet style.
For anyone who’s visiting India soon I would recommend travelling in flights because of hygiene but somehow you end up choosing train 1st AC would be good enough
