As a Thai Millennial. It was only a decade and a half ago, when the internet café was super popular. They used to be everywhere. I'm living in Surin. They were once at every corner of the town, Surin is not big. So, when i say every corner of the town, i meant it, but these days, i don't see a single one. It's like they had their own version of dot com collapse and they were just gone.
Yeah,so true. I think it was almost extinct ,but this was on point Internet cafe in shopping mall good marketing boys’s place to wait they girls is being shopping 😂
As a freshman, I live in college dorm of Chiang Mai university and the gate there close after 10 PM. I once went to cinema and can’t went back on time and the internet cafe was the popular choice for students before the gate open again. It’s actually a good experience stay up all night in this soft chair with a high speed internet.

The thing i love about Thailand is there are Hyperfast internet every corner in this country, no matter its cellular on cell phone or Fiberobtic on land, the speed is very fast.
but it is not expensive this lolz maybe coz it was in the mall, since internet cafes going boom, most internet cafes cost about 10-20 baht/per hour past 10 year ago
@@DannyWalkTour MBK center is where the locals usually go to since they got arcades, the rhythm games. The arcade's right next to an Animate store and a tabletop cafe so it's basically a weeb/geek zone

Not only Thailand like all over the world. That should be decent price. 50baht is a expensive for gamers. Bcos u can even buy a decent set up for playing a few months in cafe

internet cafe here is the ideal for backpacker (like Japan lol). I did that before when I was poor student because on that day I cannot find any place to sleep. It was only $0.5 for one hour at a local internet cafe, way cheaper than a budget hotel here which cost you around $10-15 per day. You can also take a bath for free at an university's gym if you are a student too.
The price was about $0.28 ten years ago. I really miss those old times asking my mom for 10 baht just to play a racing car game thing with friends. By the way, welcome to Thailand! :)
there's one in Huai Kwang that is not as impressive as that place, but also open 24/7 and have even faster PC, they also have another branch with full AMD machine behind UTCC at Din Daeng this place in Samyan mitrtown is owned by AIS, biggest cell provider in Thailand, the price probably include the fact that they are located in the middle of the shopping center

I've seen quite a few other similar computer lab/cafe's that are open 24/7 for example "Counter Net TU" which is on the TU campus in Rangsit, but still a good and interesting video anyways!
this is high end Cafe and wow 50 baht per hours an internet cafe near my house just only 20 baht per hours (with higher pc spec than this shop) and 24 hours only around 380 bath
Go back about 10 years ago to when I was studying at university. I often spend time at internet cafes. Friday evening and into Sunday afternoon. It's a pity that COVID-19 has ruined this atmosphere. Sure, playing games at home is fun, but if you've ever had the experience of going to an internet cafe with friends, it's nothing compared to that.

I been there before when I was in bkk, bit more expansive compare to Korea. it is $1/hour here in Korea. and they have more things to do. even you can order foods and drink in there

Nature travelers, I’d say Bangkok is good but not as good as most of other provinces if you’re talking about nature. stunning waterfalls, beautiful beaches, national park for hiking and camping, even local’s ways of life, and exploring our traditions, for example, we have the biggest candle festival, you can visit and even trace it back to the origin. And each part of Thailand has its unique charm and history to be explored. 2. Historic Sites travelers, Thailand offer you a bunch of interesting historical sites all across the country. prehistoric dinosaur dig sites, more than 650 years old temple, 4,000 years old paintings on cave wall, we had it all. Be aware these sites are required a research and some amount of information to be taken. 3. Night life travelers, I would not recommend this. Thailand has a lot of great things to be discovered. Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya these places are known for “Some” reasons. If you want to try once, sure, but I’d not recommend. Ps. As your first video, you can explore it and do a challenge out of it. But if you’re planed to only be in Bangkok I recommend you to travel by express boat or transit system like BTS or MRT as it offers more options, much cheaper and faster than by car. Most of them are unique in their own ways, So I encourage you and all visitors who are reading this to be exploring our local community, not just in major cities, Appreciate you guys and wish you having a nice visit. Samyan mirt town tower the target is for young people so everything there are service for teenage student. So you may the oldest one in there on that day lol. And FYI for internet cafe that you use there is run by AIS internet service company is the one of a large internet network service business in Thailand, so the strength of the internet signal there So it can be done without limit. For all total money that you has paid for living in 24 hours here / 1,200 B. and for shower 550 is mean you paid for living cost 1,750 B. that's better rent some hotel is better for your health i think.
this actually gave me great information. not much of a gamer anymore but when i get there i will assume my sleep schedule will be efff'd up so the possibilities of going somewhere to just pass the time will be wonderful. a question though, can you bring your own laptop to that gaming center????
50 baht per hour in internet cafe like that is good enough for the cost Internet cafe around the street cost about 30 baht but this one is probably nicer and better computer, very nice!
From a thai person that is high-end and expensive one you have other options a little bit away from the middle of the city but still well connected with bts and mrt with more cheaper hour rate and good for gaming but some of these use the chairs that design to prevent people to sleep on the chairs instead of finding hotel so not good experience if you want to play like 8+ hour and you know that it's Thailand food is every where
4:20 central area of any city in Thailand has that internet speed, I've never been to other country but I heard a lot foreigners said Thailand's internet is very fast.
Man i love samyan so much, I go to that place very, very often to get my work done, not in the internet cafe tho, in samyan there are also a co-working space called co-op that open 24 hours, with ac and internet, for free! Oh and also their starbucks open 24 hours too with a very comfy sofa, literally the best place for me in bangkok
@@DannyWalkTour I wonder that, they gave back 200 baht to you, AIS is the public company of mobile operator and ISP in the main business, it is the standard price across the country not the same as the local brand owner, except they got the promotion. As Thai people, normally for Brand or the standard Shop in the Shopping mall, we never ask for discounts except for some stand-alone shops like shopping malls like MBK, or wholesale shops like Platinum mall
