We go to some of the best viewing spots for autumn leaves in Kyoto- including: Tofukuji Temple, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Kodaiji Temple, Yasaka Shrine and a special illumination event at Eikando Zenriji Temple. These are all famous places to enjoy fall foliage in Kyoto, that can be feasibly seen within a one day Kyoto itinerary. We enjoy the stunning Kyoto shrines and temples steeped in Japanese history alongside amazing autumn colours. Definitely add these spots to your Kyoto itinerary, no matter the season.
