So I’m 56 black woman and for whatever reason this clip reminds me of a time where my Nana had two dolls a white blonde one and a black Afro centric one and I always played white the blonde one and one day she asked me why and I didn’t answer her because I didn’t know but looking back it was because of the environment I grew up in where that was the standard of outward beauty.
