Once my mum thought the towels at the camp we were staying at for a month were so good in the last few days we were there she kept saying the towels went missing but she was putting them in a huge trash bag so they kept bringing more, by the end of the trip we had 2 huge bags of new FREE towels

Humour aside , there are things which we can take from a hotel before checking out as it is actually considered a part of our payment like : shower gels & essential oils , shower cap and other *small* things . I still remember the time , I got humiliated for doing this and after sometime I found out that these are actually amenities that we pay for !!! So , I hope U can use my advice without getting bullied 🙂
