In this week's episode, Natalie and Deepti react to Love is Blind Season 4's After the Altar, where the drama continues a year later. They discuss new cast members, budding relationships, and juicy conspiracy theories.
Calling Monica a bad friend when Jackie got with her "best friend's" ex fiance is hilarious. Its not Monica's fault that Jackie and Josh got so much online hate and that shouldnt prevent her from getting to speak her story. Y'all are lucky to have had the privilege to not only share your story but continue on your journey with fans after the show has ended, not everyone on the show got that. The place was definetly not the right place to have the conversation between Monica and Jackie, but it's clear Jackie hadnt been in touch with Monica and vice versa so for all Monica knew this was her only chance to have the conversation she needed to have. If Jackie didn't want to deal with it she coukd have declined having the conversation.
1.The Kasia and Marshall scene proves Marshall didn’t want the ring to get engaged to someone else , which shows Jackie was lying. Kasia even admitted they didn’t go on a date until after the show ended. 2 I don’t believe any of them are truly friends -core four- Jackie looks miserable with Josh and Monica can tell. She was honest with Jackie and I see no wrong I’m what she did or said. In regards tonJosh’s anger, Even if she was clout chasing, so what. Monica knows who Josh is and wants Jackie to know that. And other people leaving negative comments on Monica’s page about Josh, is not her fault. 3. That ferris wheel scene, Josh was disrespectful to Jackie. He said it as if she had to ‘Earn’ him. That’s not a joke or playful banter. He said it repeatedly. 3. Micah needs to sit down somewhere. I think the her and Paul situation was ‘put on’ by producers. I think he is done with her. I like the no drama main couples. Let them live their lives and let’s see the glimpses of positive love and growth on their social medias.
Amen!!! Josh was super rude and disrespectful to Jackie in all the scenes, but I think that’s what she wanted. Someone with a macho pride who will put her down tbh…she chose him even though she knew how he was from the start. Sad but, it is what it is
And they broke up! Sad, but I kinda saw it coming. I feel for Jackie though, I think she was really in love with josh. almost to a fault because she didn’t see some of the red flags we did (yes I know it’s an edit, and we don’t know them personally, but I can only assess what I see here). I think she likes a relationship with banter and that challenges her, but hopefully she finds someone who fulfills that without being toxic.
How is it that everything Josh and Jackie did is considered "real" while others are considered doing this for screen time? Seems a little one-sided, just like the reunion episode.
When SOME people say that a reunion was “boring”, sometimes it’s a underhanded way of wishing harm successful relationships. I am so happy for the 3 couples. It’s what healthy relationships look like. Perhaps I am in the minority because I don’t like seeing people get hurt or humiliated. Unfortunately, there were some questionable relationships. Jackie definitely needs help. It appears that she is prone to abusive relationships. There’s more to the Marshall/Monica/Jackie/Josh/Kelsey story.
I love hearing all the behind the scenes stuff from you guys and the advice you have. Start a reality tv cast member consultant biz 😅❤ Sounds like lots of people need coaching to navigate everything that comes with this experience.
I complete disagree with the opinions about Monica. Natalie practically acted the same towards Shane and Shaina. I love you guys, but I feel like Depti holds herself more accountable that Natalie.
I believe after the altar she posted this story about Shane on insta. In the confessionals, she would talk about Shaina and Shane and what they did allegedly, but didn’t give them the chance to say their piece. At least, Monica had the courtesy to say it to Jackie and give her the chance to say her piece. I don’t blame Natalie for how she acted, but I appreciate that Depti at least ends her statement at times with “we might not know the full story.” Also, when Natalie started talking about Keisha she said she wasn’t a good friend to Jackie because she dated Marshall. But when Jackie dated Josh after breaking up with Monica it didn’t make Jackie a bad friend? I know I missed something regarding your question; it came to mind when watching the video, but I can’t remember rn. I’ll edit this comment once I remember.😅
@@011melyssaI agree with you I don’t get why they are defending josh and jackie for all the crap they pulled and then say that monica and kacia are bad friends… like I just think all of the beforementioned are dramatic and toxic. it’s not surprising at all how they’re all friends…your vibe attracts your tribe
Natalie's speaking about Monica in the context of her being Jackie's "best friend" - Natalie and Shaina are not friends and don't claim to be, so this is a different conversation. She didn't say what Monica did was wrong by itself, it's that she's Jackie's "friend" and chose to do this on camera.
1. I saw the comments on the original post. 😳 2. Paul’s mom, man. When I was married, his mom stayed close to his ex and it was very awkward. Always. She wasn’t mean to me, but it makes it so there is always an elephant in the room. 3. Monica is not a good friend. It reminds me of the beginning of Hope Floats where she takes her on a talk show - “ She’s not just your friend, she’s your BEST friend… and how long have you been sleeping with her husband? …Why are you telling her this on national TV? … Because I really want her to HEAR my point of view. “ That girl should be blocked by Jackie and she should never look back. 4. But, Josh is a man-child. Not just from the edit, but I remember how completely obnoxious he was being on the LIB live stream when the live reunion was delayed. Just obnoxious. That said - I’m sure Jackie knows that and I wish her well. She seems to have so much on her plate.
Hi ladies! Nice podcast, interesting to listen! I would like to propose something. If you could include scenes cuts, when you discuss them, to refresh memory, would be nice!
Jackie and Marshall had one last opportunity to show the world that they are a loving- compatible couple only for Josh to throw a grape at her in national tv and for him to say publicly that she gets on his nerves. They’re ridiculous.
It would be so helpful if you guys could throw up a photo of the people when you talk about them (to remind us who they are). I think if the photos are on Instagram, it would be considered “fair use” (no copyright issue)
I completely disagree with you and the opinion of being bored and that no one cares. You want the drama not their success. Plus didn’t Natalie said 5 min bfre that it’s not just about the drama but about successful marriages. These individuals are successful and have good jobs they don’t need the drama. Ok on top, Natalie keeps saying she gave advice and they took it, and then she complains. Seriously
I agree that this After the Altar wasn’t really as interesting as previous. So much has been posted in real time on social media since the season ended like actual new information about the couples wasn’t as interesting. For example: the scene with bliss and Zack at the doctor office, we kinda had a feeling that it was about the allergy shots for the pets because they made a post about it a couple months ago on their pages. So what Netflix was trying to spin as a dramatic scene wasn’t really hitting in my opinion
Marshall wasn’t lying Kasia only said the way the talked and communicated made it feel more than one date. So obviously she thought it was more than what he did
Paul’s mom is why Paul wouldn’t want Micah. Esp, knowing she is his moms twin. His mom isn’t protecting her son. My parents did this to me before with still asking help from my previous partner.
I don't have a dog in the fight, but I don't think Josh was saying that Monica was trash talking him in comments. I think he was saying Monica should have been censoring comments mentioning him on her own social posts. In that case, I don't see what Monica did aswrong, although I agree it's probably a good idea to bring it up with Jackie in private.
No hate, but how did Chelsea get the job? Wasn’t she a therapist or speech pathologist or something? I guess I was surprised because I didn’t think she had a background in this.
What if Monica purposely went on the show to look like a bad friend and take the heat off of Jackie and Josh? Cause that’s the only explanation that a friend would have 😅. She and Irina’s weird apologies was the big L, and yeah Paul’s mom, and Paul if he is seeing someone and still being all “see you down road” 😏
They wanted the drama to have something to question. I hear now Natalie questioning what Paul’s mom did. So this is the only I interesting thing and now she is picking upset everything. Make up your mind girl.
I agree about Paul’s mom that was so awkward and uncomfortable. And I honestly hope Jackie makes sure this is the right move for her because I like her a lot as well!
