Great pattern. I have made several. I can’t whip one up as quickly. I just recently made one for my daughter using a Christmas themed fabric. Posted it on Facebook and everyone was making such positive comments. One lady asked if I would make one for her and wanted to know how much. I said $75 plus shipping and she dropped the subject. It must be when it is handmade they want it for for $20. Love this tote.
Omg when you make straps, it’s literally one of those “oddly satisfying” things. I could literally just watch and listen (bc your machine sound seriously soothing) for an hour straight 😂
Love your bags most of the time I sitting all night just to watching you making your bags. I wish I have your machine to make bags as well. Have to say that I also watching other people as well you all wonderful teachers
I can not sew at all, but with your expertise I am quit sure I will learn. You are a very great instructor. Please keep the video coming. Also can you tell me where to buy vinyl/leather to make your purses. Also can you PLEASE make a video showing how you can know how much material to purchase. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH.
Lauren I am very impressed with your sewing area. I am NOT an organized person but I wanna learn. If you're already did a tour of your sewing space, let me know where I can see. If you haven't done one, please think about. I am 75 and need all the help I can get. Thank you.
I wish we could see your every movement from cutting, pressing, sewing. I am a newbie without much imagination and learn by watching. All tips and tricks appreciated. Thanks
No, Thank you! I just printed out the new instructions and pattern pieces. I think I can do this! Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? I love that you gave a template for the accent piece around the zipper and drew in the box for the zippers.
Complimenti!! Bravissima e il lavoro eseguito molto bene. Peccato che non capisco la lingua! Ho seguito con interesse il tuo tutorial. Grazie. Anch'io ho un gatto nero di nome Elvis.
I LOVE your tutorial.. Simple, easy and addictive..it keeps me wanting for more!!! Just need to know what kind of fabric are you using that looks Volume enough to stand on it's own..cos you're not using any interfacing right? TQ..
I love your idea about NO BOBBINS. However it would also be a great idea if they had a space for a spool of thread instead of a bobbin that could work the same way. Just a thought/idea.
Who is the designer for the gorgeous butterfly fabric? I love it and how you picked up the different colors with the vinyl and zipper. Excellent video. I have to make this bag!!! Thanks.
Love this bag and your videos and your hardware! Much love here! Just wonder why when doing your strap connectors...why not make one piece 2 x 32 then cut them down to six 4 inches sections. Just thought that may save time. Just throwing that out there.
I’m a newer sewer, and visual learner. Videos for any patterns help so much. The video doesn’t show half of what you’re doing. I was going to purchase the pattern and hardware, but unfortunately now I won’t. Bummed.
Totally understandable! This was a video where I was newer to filming. Luckily I’ve got 10 other videos about making the Emily bag you could check out. But no worries 💜
With the quality of your videos, I’m shocked you don’t have more subscribers. Have you considered putting your videos on Pinterest, as some folks call it, the black hole for crafters?
Love your videos. Do you recommend waterproof canvas if you dont have an industrial machine? I’d like to try it but not sure about the thickness. Thanks again 😀
Hi!! I’m from Brazil and I love your videos! You are amazing ! Where did you get those acrylic guides that you use to use ? I really want to buy it but I don’t know how to describe it to search it ! Thanks 💗
Beautiful bag. Is the pattern available for purchase, if yes, where can I get the pattern? Do you strongly recommend industrial walking foot machines for bag making? Do get back to me asap as your opinion will be highly appreciated.
@@EverythingCustomMade looks like they ship. I live in Finland, Europe and transport fees are about 55 dollars. Did you ordered your materials? The bag is amazing. I made it also but I have to find the right materials. I have old Paff with only needlefeed. That requiers some changes
@@2121kerstin Thanks Kerstin. I got another model but a straight sewing lockstitch that works like a walking foot machine. I bought most of my domestic sewing machine, embroidery machine and overlocker from the US, so I did a rough estimation for the shipping of the industrial sewing machine considering its weight and I changed my mind lol. I was working within a particular budget. The good thing is, I can sew anything from light, medium to heavy weight materials with the straight sewing lockstitch machine I bought. It came with size 130/21 needles, that alone proves it's capabilities and it sews like a dream and delivers beautiful stitches. I switched out the clutch motor for a servo motor because the sewing speed was scary to me lol, it was too fast and controlling the speed was beyond me. I have not gotten the bag pattern yet but will do so soon. What do you usually sew with your Paff? Is it industrial or domestic?
@@EverythingCustomMade yes its industrial. Actually its quite good machine but its not suitable for very thick materials. Here in Europe market for sewing machines and also for fabric (and especially for bags) are litllebit different. I'm still learning but looks like bags, wallets, purses and so on, is my theme. I have Pfaff 481 with totaly silent servo motor. It also cuts my yarn and in overall is just amazing machine. But its an B type machine- thanks to that I have to find out what kind of material can I sew. Instruction says that max nr 100 (16) needle. But I also have old industrial Singer 29IU3 for medium to heavy materials. I plan to sell it because that is without serve motor and its litllebit too fast (yet my handyman changed the motor and it works now with normal electricity).
Hi Lauren, I am new to your channel and loving it. Thank you so much. Can you please tell me where to buy the waterproof canvas that you use, and also, where can l find your website to check out the items you sell? Thank you again for your great tutorials, please keep them coming.
Hi Cyndie. The links are often in the video description down below! I know they can be hard to find. I get the waterproof canvas from fwdfabrics.com and my hardware is available at moremeknow.com Thank you
You're doing a grand job, but it would be really good if we could see all of what you were doing! we lose the camera angle so you are not always in shot when you're doing certain tasks we cannot see!!
It’s not when you are ironing. It’s when you tape up some tabs that will hold a D ring and your hands are off screen and the view is of some fabric and cut outs you have done. I know when it’s ironing because you tell us that’s what you are doing.
