The significance of horses in Norse mythology goes back to their Aryan origins. There also many stories of legendary horses in Iranian/Persian epics, since they are also Aryans. Iran means “land of the Aryans”.

Well, al of this is part of scandinavian urban legends today, welcome here on vacation… if you dare 😉 Scandinavia is filled with high mountains, huge caves, deep forests, deep lakes and have loads and loads of islands. Who knows what you can find there… 😉 and dont forget the amount of snow in the winter… that hides in snow comes out then it smelts… (the last one is an actual proverb in at least Sweden). And of course, also a lot of sea, Scandinavia is an peninsula (+ the danish peninsula, if you take a look at Scandinavias history you will understand how Denmark is an very evident part of Scandinavia) and have a lot of seacoast, Kattegatt and Skagerak (that is between Denmark and the rest of Scandinavia), Baltic sea, Northern Atlantic sea and Northern sea. But something about Scandinavia, and sort of the complete Nordic, is the friendship between the countrys. The Scandinavian countrys have very similar languages, in Finland is Swedish a very common language and sort of everyone can it and the icelantic people learn some kind of version of the scandinavian languages to (they simply call it scandinavian ). We are al like brothers and sisters. Its fun to make jokes of each other but deep inside we truelly love each other. A typical joke is that danish people should spit out the potato so we can hear what they are saying… 😅 but it al said with a tounge in cheek 🙂

Fenrir will fulfill his destiny by swallowing Odin, but then Fenrir will be killed by VIDAR the son of Odin…

What's the point of that? What's all y'all's infatuation with killing everything? Universal law if you kill someone else must kill them kinda self defeating isn't it? The silverback gorilla method is far more effective than having blood on your hands. Plus only God that created the gods and kings can make that call or you have to be a first class reaper. Otherwise it creates karma you don't want when you have to stand in front of the fates with scissors with their scissors on your silver cord between vessel and spirit and God. Ancient civilizations without inhabitants is because of these silly games you people play. So much drama.

You mentioned both Ratatoskr and Niðhöggr but omitted Hraesvelgr and Veðrfölnir. Hraesvelgr is thought to be the giant eagle perched atop Yggdrassil and is responsible for storms and hurricanes by flapping his wings. Veðrfölnir is the hawk perched between his eyes that translates the information carried by Ratatoskr from Niðhöggr. He then translates information from Hraesvelgr to be given to Niðhöggr in their ongoing war of words.

Jormungandr is often depicted biting its own tail, but as seen in the order vs. chaos section, have there been times where it actually let go without causing Ragnarok?
