These are great ideas for small spaces. Not everyone has a huge house so sometimes creative solutions are necessary for essentials, but some of these ideas just highlight that the owners of the items need to get rid of a lot of extra stuff.
Not everyone has plenty of space to store their things even essential items! The solution may not be to ‘declutter’ things but to maximise the space and this video provides inspiration for that
I agree. Don’t get more shelves and drawers as you will just keep filling them. 9times out of 10 you forget what’s in them. It’s a better idea to get rid of stuff you don’t use or need.
It really is soooo freeing. I mean with it may come paying more but usually sanity is worth it lol. No matter how much you like who you live with, it is ALWAYS hard. People need their own space.

tHIS IS much more inspirational that IKEA. I like the ingenious space-saving ideas as well as the quality of material (much less plastic). Thanks for including ideas that the consumer can do to cut on cost and provide originality. Great job!
Excellent video as usual. Glad to see you included your little "helpers" in the project. They will learn some responsibility and pride in helping out. 1:52
NOT really sure what it is about this lady's voice but 💘 listing to it. Silly because I've applied MOST of these DIYs since 2018 but still watch all these videos😂
I have a great cheap storage idea for extra hair stuff, DO, body stuff. Buy a door hanging shoe holder and put it behind your closet door. How to hide your beauty clutter.
This is probably the best realistic DIY video I have ever come across. I like all the ideas. Husband is good with wood work and I never thought of these! Looks like he has work to do coming weekends lol
Open shelving is bad for people with dust allergies. After cleaning dust just falls again or you might miss dust between books and stuff. Just a tip. If you don’t sneeze easily then it’s perfect for you
I appreciate this with the video examples. A lot of videos i see show huge closets or expensive solutions that require a construction makeover. This explains concepts really well
Just when I thought I'd seen all this before, you had the side bookcase headboard at the end. That will eliminate my need for side tables and save a ton of space. Including visual space. Good one!
They need clothes that don't rip and if you get too hot the clothes cool down and if you get too cold the clothes warm up. I am sure they have ideas like this lol
I have one “junk drawer” in the kitchen. It holds tape and scissors and batteries, etc. I hate dusting so I keep minimal things on shelves and countertops! If its there and I don’t NEED it...it goes out with the garbage! I can’t do clutter cause it makes my head hurt lol
Less is more. Donating or reselling is a good way to reduce clutter. Another tip I recommend in order to reduce clutter on the bathroom sink counters, is using a tray to contain all the cosmetics that are used everyday. This will make cleaning easy too 😊.
My husband built a cabinet for our 4 hampers and placed it in our master bath. It had 4 opening doors and the rolling hampers were easy to take to the laundry. It was painted white and the insets on the doors were papered with the same wallpaper in our bath. On top of the cabinet we had a 55 gallon aquarium that was just across from the whirlpool tub. Above the aquarium, there was a pot shelf that intruded into the walk-in closet on the other side of the wall. We had a nice TV up there and often had dinner and a movie from the oversized tub.
This was a great video. Easy to follow and understand because that's a must for me and the storage ideas are nothing short of genius! Bins, baskets and floating shelves...all of life's problems should be this easy to solve!
Sometimes an air filter running nearby may help. I actually made one with a thick filter and a box fan. Here's a link to an example: m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2vOZaXQPMmE.html
I like the raised bed idea. I'm thinking of getting a loft bed that I can store lots of bins underneath and tacking up an old pea green sheet so people can't see the piles of bins.
The ones where it's saying to have racks outside of ur closet just make your room look unfinished and more cluttered. Plus you gotta actually keep ur clothes looking nice and aesthetically pleasing which as we all know is a pain 😂😂
I just stick a hamper in the closet and call it good. Alot of these ideas look like they are for a home owner with alot of space and an in home washer and dryer anyway.
@@l.a.picasa3912 I think you are on to something. I am on a fixed income and all that stuff adds up quick. I have a wire crate thing that has two squares attached and I got it outside the apartment dumpster someone gave away. I am thinking about using for rolling clothes or towels up in. I bet there are RU-vid tutorials on finding free organizer things at left over moving sales and outside dumpsters at rich people's apartment complexes lol I will just cut out some cardboard from a box and cover it in duck tape to section my drawers lol
Ha Ha....some people might love the department store look....then you could pretend you were "shopping" every morning as you get dressed! Ha HA. Plus it might get you to like your own stuff more....pretty presentation is how stores get you to buy in the first place!
Awesome! Was planning on doing this soon! I was thinking about running a second, parallel set of overhead storage further in over the garage door. Thinking having the storage entirely joist-supported should be fine for another couple hundred pounds. They are holding up a roof and a second story after all. 2:37
My man! Thank you for this video! I was legit about to spend a small fortune buying the brackets for wall mounted shelves. Not anymore..... this will save me a ton so thank you once again! 2:14
@@katrinamarina4692 Get a Dream Box! As soon as the work on my house is finished, I an SO getting one! You can design it to fit your preferences! Get on their email list so you find out about sales. Those things are AWESOME
Linda Christoffer yeah that bath & body works display made me cringe. If your items are on display but don’t follow the same color scheme than everything still looks random and messy. Organization should still have a cohesive look
Kiara that’s where diy comes into play, just Decorate the bottles and following a color scheme and being creative. I take videos like this simply for inspiration.
For some when space is limited, just having some ideas for storage makes all the difference. For some others just getting clutter organized as the first step, feeling good about how clean it looks, can give many the nudge to get rid of unneeded stuff.
some good ideas, especially for stationary, and the final bed head, although shelves just get covered in dust, not really where you'd want to keep sheets, blankets or even shoes. Thanks for the video 😊
I did this in my room several years ago. Turned out great! Got the shelves from Wal-Mart. They have baskets in them. Great for storing pajamas, sneakers, workout clothes, extra bedding. It's a lifesaver!
These ideas are good ones. You just have to be creative. Look around your rooms and pick the best idea that will be helpful to your needs. I love these ideas thank you. I will be doing some.
Good ideas but wondered a bit about the comments regarding wicker and plastic storage boxes. Plastic boxes don't have to be used with lids at all and plenty are even transparent so it is also easy if not easier to see what is inside them cf wicker baskets 😉. Granted wicker baskets are often very pleasing to the eye!
I think its better to have a shoe cabinet instead of having them on display. I have a shoe cabinet that has 2 doors..serves as a bedroom TV stand as well..or a candle on top.
