Playing the Brian May solo passage from his song 'Why Don't We Try Again' from the 1998 'Another World' album, I compare the sound of the Deacy Amp replica with the Vox MV50 and pedals, and show how to get an interesting range of Deacy Amp sounds using the MV50 and pedals.
I play the Kz RS Jnr Hybrid guitar into the Deacy Amp replica, playing the Brian May solo passage. Then its time to plug into the little Vox MV50 amp using the Treble Booster Touring, Strelly Booster, and 2015 Mayday distortion pedal to create a lush range of Deacy Amp textured sounds.
With the intermediate booster - the new Strelly Booster pedal - I demonstrate the difference in tonality the 'Range' control gives to the sound with its 'thin to fat' 6 position settings on the rotary switch.
The Strelly Booster adds more drive and sustain to the Mayday pedal's Deacy Amp sounds - giving more 'cut through and focus' - or more added warmth and creaminess - to the Mayday. And all settings giving good detail to the sound.
