Welcome to my Spring 2024 live update on what Yosemite National Park is currently looking like. The waterfalls are at their peak with roaring displays, the Merced River is swelling & flooding, Spring wildflowers are popping up all over the park in vibrant hues, and wildlife is abundant, providing visitors an opportunity to see deer, bears, coyotes, and all kinds of bird species. I spent the last several days in Yosemite celebrating National Park Week and partnering with Visit Yosemite | Madera County ( @VisitYosemiteMaderaCounty ) , so join me as we take a look at the current conditions you can expect to see on your upcoming Spring adventure road trip.
Currently the waterfalls in Yosemite are flowing with incredible force. Even though we didn’t get near the record breaking levels of precipitation that California received in 2023, the waterfalls in the park seem to be raging at a similar thundering force as they did last year...and from what I hear they will continue to increase in flow over the next few weeks. In this video, we'll take a look at all the waterfalls I saw this last week during my road trip through the park and what they’re currently looking like.
Consider stopping off to support the small businesses and local economies of the gateway communities surrounding the park. For great information on what to do inside Yosemite National Park and in Madera County directly to the south (along Highway 41), check out www.yosemiteth... and / yosemitemadera

My favorite time of the year to visit the park. How are the trails looking? Is the Four Mile Trail open?

The trail is closed at the gate (about halfway) near Union Point with no access up to Glacier Point currently.

@@flyingdawnmarie Yeah, it's still early, isn't it. Thanks for sharing Yosemite with those of us who won't be able to make it up this season.

This spot is located along the Valley Loop Trail (it’s a favorite spot of mine too) if you’re not hiking the full loop - a few good markers to find this spot on the trail is it’s along South Side Drive side of the trail (before the Tunnel View turn off) and it’s just across the road & a little past the marker were John Muir & Teddy Roosevelt camped (I actually have a free Yosemite Valley Top 12 Photo guide you can download on my “travel guides” page of my website & it has the exact pinpoint location for Apple & Google Maps to this spot if that would help) happy adventures!

I can't believe you guys are not fixing the sound! Every episode the volume is too low.

Please feel free not to watch if that bothers you…I’m sure there are many wonderful professionals with great sound equipment & sound editing you can enjoy. I started making these little videos on my iPhone to share with my father who was terminally ill and couldn’t adventure with me in person anymore & he loved watching them. I have continued to make them because others have shared they enjoy them as well. I never desire people to be upset so perhaps my channel is not the one for you & that’s okay because there are so many adventurers on RU-vid, I’m sure there are plenty you can enjoy.😊 In the current season of life I’m in, I’m capturing & sharing my videos as I am able to right now & I’m sure that will shift and grow in time. I can hear the sound on my end but if you can’t I do hope you find wonderful videos from someone else that you truly enjoy. All the best to you on your own adventures.

Strange? You might need to check your sound settings. For me, the volume is loud even with 20% volume setting for RU-vid and PC
