In 2005 i had a 32 inch white gold chain with some crazy pendant, came off at 6 flags when the roller coaster went upside down. Had to hop the fence and go in there and dodge the roller coaster to find it. But i did find it.
Mene also sells Cuban chains which I'm interested in. Figuring that they must be able to use their Cuban links I contacted them to see if they could take a special order from me for a Cuban link ring. They appreciated the idea for a different style of jewelry but said they aren't making those right now. I'm disappointed but I will keep after them to see if I can break the ice. TNX, Ric
@@JonesGoldLuxury Maybe CMG can do it. I saw their RU-vid clip today about making Cuban links and chain by hand. What great work! Now let's see what they have to say to my question. Cheers. Ric
KJones back on the scene but with another channel y’all. I know I’m not the only one that wishes my girl cared about gold as much as you 😂 keep doin your thing girl!
Love the chain K. Jones. Do you happen to know the width of the chain? I’m interested in picking one up myself except with an “S” clasp (will wear as a solitaire, no pendant)
I don’t know where you live at. But you should check out Asian jewelry stores in your area. Most Asian shops would make any custom piece you want for 500$ over spot. I would never pay more than 500$. Any item, doesn’t matter want size of the piece. Paying cash at shops avoid tax fees also. The lock will break overtime, but it is a cheap fix. Take it to a legit jewelry store and they can fix it. The Asian shop I go to usually fixes it for 50$, but when ever I need mines fixed they do it for free…… Peace and Love… from Cali
@@andrewgould8966 Northern Cali. I never went jewelry shopping in LA, but I heard about the jewelry district over there. They might have good deal on used items for lower premiums. When there is a lot of shops, they all fight for your money. I used to live to the Midwest, and there will only be one Asian shop. Their prices was ridiculous, but there was no other shops around.
@@1left2live21 The only 24k spot that I know of here in LA is TA Jewelrs in Chinatown and they were about 30% over spot. Do you what the prices are at Kimtin in Oakland? Any spots your recommend up there? I ended up with a 120g 23k anchor that I love. Keeping my options open for an upgrade, lol.
@@andrewgould8966 I am not from LA, there got to more than one Asian shop make and sell 24k. Unfamiliar with the Bay. The shops I check out are the in Sacramento. There is like ten shops on one street close to each other. These purchases are big $$$, so take your time and shop around. Try to find the right deal that is fair for both parties. Don’t make the mistake in buying before you walk in.
It’s still good it’s just hollow within the links. It should hold up for years, but eventually it would be nice to update to solid ! Hope you enjoy your piece
I’ve never owned an 18k piece - I would say a hollow 10-14k would be fine for daily wear. Since 18k is 75% gold it’s not as durable - especially if not a solid piece
Would you recommend Daniel jewelry for a Miami Cuban? I got a 14k from jacoje but I’m looking to upgrade to 18k and from what i have seen daniels 18k has that real gold look to it. I feel like my 14k from jacoje looks more like 10k
24k is the best. Nothing can beat the shine and brilliance of the yellow glow. I have my Cuban link 24k with the Buddha meditating on lotus pendant 🧘♀️ 🪷 .
I recommend herringbone chain.. its a great addition to cuban libk.. specifically feom mejuris and its really awesome. The Jenna Lyons herringboen chain is a longer one btw.
@@kdi9049i have 4 and i agree 😅 i would only recommend a herringbone chain if its a bracelet that is measured almost snug on your wrist so it wont get the bents
Hey there :) it’s 24k too. However it does not close well anymore . High karat clasps can be tricky ! I have a 14k 8 mm Miami Cuban coming with sleek lock . It’ll be 18 inches instead of 20 inch though. I am keeping my 24k one . Just love the durability of 10/14k
@@JonesGoldLuxurydo you think if you went w an 18k box clasp, that it would have held up better? I’m now thinking of just getting a 23” /23k from either Daniels or Gus without a clasp that I can just throw over my head. Has your Cuban lost the luster of the 24k?
@@andrewgould8966 no- 24k gold does not lose its luster. Yes 18k would be stronger. My 24k cuban has lost a lot of its form and “curls” or doesn’t hang straight . If you have anymore questions please set up a consultation with me
@@JonesGoldLuxury thats what I was worried about. Im not a fan of the cubans the Thai make, and similarly what 9999 puts out. I thought Daniel or Gus make the best cubans out. I wonder if that curl is normal for cubans in general or just the lack of experience making higher purity cubans.
a gram or two of 9999 gold should fix your problem, a good Goldsmith should be able to make you a lock and, it is worth it for your 24, plus your not my type, I would go Asian and Black before i date a Vandal woman, over all great job.
