Have played Inertial Drift and I can’t recommend it enough! It gives the ultimate sense of satisfaction all racing games should, but most fail to do.

Best car games on switch coming from PC player- GRID autosport, Wreckfest, WRC 9, Spintires Mudrunner, Gear club Unlimited 2 All these games manage to run a great/good enough physics and game engine on such limited Nintendo switch hardware,These games have a lot more depth to them than some super mega high budget racing games(such as new forza motorsport) They are also well polished out games some have allready been on PC for 11 years

Fast RMX is often forgotten about but is excellent and is definitely the "fastest" racing game on switch. incredible speed and smooth fps.

for owning many, Grip is absolutly my fave on switch, even the low resolution cant stop me having fun on that game in particular with elimination mode that feels like a scene straight for los angeles 2013. Own it on PC too and its really not a that bad port

We do have a handful of great options (Wreckfest, Hot Wheels, Grid, NFS Hot Pursuit (even though most of them are older ports)) yet I can't wait to see how racing games will look on Nintendo's future console

I play Rush 2049 on my original N64 almost weekly. It has a 4-player battle mode with weapon pickups too on the original n64, similar to twisted metal. A mode I never knew about because it doesn't show up on the selection screen unless other controllers are plugged into the console.

GRID Autosport is top tier racing for the switch and it’s good to play it since it’s hard to get on backwards compatible consoles and PC now. It even has a fully fleshed out multiplayer with money to be earned by racing and unlocking cars! Too bad it’s dead online.

Horizon Chase is a good lightweight arcade racer, but i don't see how anyone could rate it higher than Hotshot Racing.

Nintendo has always leaned toward cartoon or arcade style racers like Mario kart and crash bandicoot racing which is a disappointment for those of us that want something with real cars and more realistic racing. Grid, wreck fest to some extent and a couple of others are there like some WRC games but I always hope they will bring out something big name to compete with Forza in Xbox and the Gran Turismo series for PlayStation. Nintendo needs a title like that in their lineup with massive amounts of cars and tracks.

@@Jactional I was going to pick it up and a PS5 the only reason why I didn't was the always online issue. I don't want to always be online. I ended up going back to GT1 and 4 to get my GT fix. That's just me.

@@mxrodriguez22 Hey the Nintendo games are real games too. I get what you mean but God of war is a fantasy game, call of duty is a fantasy game and so is gran turismo. It's all the same just in a matter of making it look a bit more mature. Games are all fantasy in the end. Some of the hardest games I ever played were on the NES...beat them like Punch Out, Super C etc. I get what you mean again but Nintendo been around a long time making games.

Cruis’n already has third-millennium entries. Look up Cruis’n on the Wii. 2008 I think? It’s a direct port of the arcade console that was called Fast & Furious (2004 I think?) to get people to play it. Fast & Furious had a few arcade-only sequels and spin-offs: Fast & Furious Drift, Fast & Furious Superbikes, Fast & Furious Supercars (which I seem to remember is just Superbikes with cars playable instead of bikes), Superbikes 2, and Superbikes 3
