I love and appreciate your videos Sir,very helpful but while going through the exercises using the tonic solfa system,as in , doh Reh mi etc. Learning on a particular scale just sounded the same with the other scales and I wasn't able to differentiate a scale from another,note by note, is there a way out to this?

I like this video, you showed me more in depth of what key to actually look for, last note. I been humming the 1st note of the song. I use serato studio to help me visually know what key im pressing. it has a auto key lock system as well to help me figure out the melody by pressing all 7 notes adjesent to the scale i want to play in. so if i turn off the auto key, i will just humm the last note of that melody. check
Very nice tutorial I'm guitarist beginner towards intermediate level but key and chord progression is very important for all musians and guitarist must learn and master but what's very funny many skip this part of key and progression

I normally hum the last part of the song in my head but if I don’t the song then I’ll just use minor 9ths. Knowing the number system helps a lot. you can hear were the singer is going when you know the progressions.
@@PianoTutorialsWithChrisEbute yes minor ninths has a jazz sound but you can use it to find the key with your top note being the root. Use the minor ninth as passing cords going up till you find the key they singing in. People will think you did a sick passing cord move when really you was finding the key. Minor ninths go with everything really. If you listen to Fred Hammond they use minor ninths a ton. When I was in jazz music school they teach you how to move fluently with minor ninths chromatically and all keys. Basically you learns how to move with minor ninths passing it will help with everything . Finding keys having unlimited passing chords and so on.
