Exactly my thoughts. I googled and watch the other actresses on you tube who also auditioned for the part of ella..they were beautiful and great actresses but none of them beat lily's sweet smile, soft voice and genuineness but also fun and witty. Lily IS Cinderella! Even Richard said when he started working with lily he totally understood and realized why lily got the part! So happy kenneth chose Lily. 🤗💋😘

+Daisy Montano Yeah and we all know WHY she didn't get the part. They wouldn't be able to find anyone prettier to play Cinderella if she really did get the part of one of the stepsister. LOL Even with the cast now, I still find the stepsisters too pretty. LOL
Tbh I prefer this version MUCH more than the original. Have courage and be kind are very powerful words and I loe that they included a lot Ella's childhood. It was a really important stage in her life. In the original they just said her mom died than her dad and she became a slave.
Agreed. They gave a much needed depth and character purpose to a classic fairy tale (to everyone, not only Cinderella). It will be a pleasure to watch this with my children in a few years.
Being that Cinderella has always been my favorite princess, and I had very high expectations for this movie, it truly lived up to what I feel the story and movie such be and look like.I dont care for it when they try adding new spins on the Cinderella story, and they didnt do that here, they kept to the original story, which made me so happy. I admit I cried just like I did when I was a child when she was being treated poorly, but I had happy tears when you realize that goodness overcomes evil. This movie was Perfect!! Thank you from the 7 yr old Chloe and the 40 grr something Chloe, I love this move.xoxoxo
I absolutely LOVED Cinderella!!! It simply couldn't have been more perfect. Cinderella is my new favorite movie, and that's saying a lot because I haven't changed my favorite movie for over 7 years, until now.

I didn't have high hopes for this movie. Usually remakes of any sort (animated or live-action) are horrible. I reluctantly rented it and to my surprise thoroughly enjoyed it. My fiance even watched it and said he enjoyed it too.
This is actual the lowest costing live action for modern Disney! Cinderella cost 95 million, while others such as beauty and the beast and Aladdin cost 150 smt mil and 250 smt mil
honestly i love Cinderella so much and she is my favorite character. i firmly believe that the 2015 version of Cinderella is better than the 1950 original. i enjoyed learning more about her childhood and troubles! well done!

It was not completely fitted even before she was going downstairs the slipper first slipped in the secret garden where the prince wore it to Ella and again when she was running it came out
In the original story (off the brother Grimm) she wents to the ball 3 times. Each time she escapes, but on the last day the prince orders that there should be something on the staircases which is sticky. So the shoe sticks to the staircases and that's the magical story behind the shoe✨

I loved this movie. So wonderful. It was really a breath of fresh air. I hope the same feeling is brought in to Beauty & The Beast. But it will have to be darker, I can't wait!
I really love the story of Maleficent and Cinderella and my favorite Disney princess is Rapunzel. My favorite Disney character is Mal from Descendants(also live action btw)
I did not know how much time and money was spent in order to make the 2015 version movie, Cinderella! Well, I guess it all paid off in the end because I heard it did very well in the theater, the cinderella clothing line made, exclusively, at Kohls, JCPenney, and at HSN.com--and it also made a lot of money when it came out on Blu-ray and DVD last year of September!
I have been told i look like Lily James such as friends, family, co workers & ppl online. Once my brother in law said "U look like Cinderella" when we watched Cinderella. I tell co workers ppl say i look like her & they agree.
My goodness! I have watched this movie many times. Incredible Beauty! Yes I learned a lot from watching this. The details are beyond amazing! British people out did themselves ,as they are known to show every single scene to be absolutely stunning!!!
This is such a fantastic film and is now one of my favorites! I think this is the best Disney live-action adaptation yet--not to mention the best Cinderella adaptation!
The extras clothing are between the 1840s and 1860s with a few of the ball gowns 1950s, the step mother's were inspired by 1950s glamour, the step sisters dress a combination of the 1930s and 1840s, all the men dress in a variety of styles from the late 1700s to 1860s 😊
You missed one more thing.This: Cinderella's Fairy Godmother is that mean queen.that has heart lips.red with white hair.And a dress from decorations on a card.

I knew they collaborated with Swarovski to make to glass slipper! It's fairly obvious that this is something Swarovski would do simply based on the sparkle, the iridescence, and facets on the slipper.

The biggest annoyance in this entire film is during the ballroom entrance scene when you clearly see how Cinderella's right-shoulder epaulette drops low.
Since I was little, having watched Cinderella, the animated version , many times before, I have always had this QUESTION WHY AT THE MOMENT the clock struck 12, everything returned to what it was before except the GLASS SLIPPERS. Many said that it was just something to be considered as the EXCEPTION in the fairytale to keep story going but I did not believe them because the plot made INCONSISTENCY. Thanks to this movie CINDERELLA in real life, I was able to get the ANSWER to my childhood "controversial" question. =)

I'm a huge Disney movie fan and this is my favorite Disney live action movie. As well as Disney fairies Tinkerbell 3D Animation sequel is my favorite Disney animation collection. Then why wouldn't you let us know about Tink & other fairies that we don't know. :D Please Jan I'd love to see that.
