@@twerk_it_like_nae_nae7979 they could've done the dub anyway in hopes of it getting higher ratings later like zexal and how stupid the dub made it which caused high ratings or gx season 4 which was "too dark to dub" but all of duel monsters was dark and that got an English dub they could've used shadow realm references like all of duel monsters and the 3 seasons of gx that were dubbed
@@craigsands2567 “hoping” for high ratings isn’t a risk that most companies can take especially for a series that started to fall. It’s a business thing, it may seem dumb to us but to them it made sense when you put everything in place
@@chrispambo1539 Yeah aki during the duel against that one team team ragnarok had summoned stardust dragon but she lost only for yusei to take over with stardust on board
For years, I was puzzled at how Synchro Summon is connected to particles in the 5D's anime. And then, when I heard about the word "Synchrotron", I realized the connection and understand its meaning. Synchro Monsters and Synchro Summons are based on at least two things, a synchrotron (a type of particle accelerator), and a type of element transmutation, specifically bombarding of particles on an element to change it into another element. The reason why Synchro Summon involves the Tuner turning into rings is because of the synchrotron. Synchro Summon rings are heavily based on synchrotron rings. For an analogy, an alpha particle is basically identical to a Helium atom (2 protons). Should an alpha particle bombard an isotope of aluminum (13 protons), the result would be an isotope of phosphorous (2 + 13 = 15). Synchro Summon is basically the same, with the Tuner (Junk Synchron = Level 3) being the particle that bombards the non-Tuner (Junk Warrior = Level 5) to Synchro Summon a Synchro Monster, eg. Stardust Dragon (3 + 5 = 8)
Black Rose Dragon and Stardust Dragon are my favourite Synchro monsters used by two of my favourite 5DS characters. Could you please do 25 cool XYZ summons?
From this point on, you gotta wonder how many he's even going to be able to do. Xyz only has three series to work from, Pendulum and Link each only have one, and Rituals and Maximums...good luck.
CRAZY, KEEP ON DRIVING! Motto hageshiku Hashire furikaeru koto nante deki nai ONE WAY ROAD!! KEEP ON BURNING SOUL! Atsuku moyashite Arashi no you ni subete o kechira se FURUSUROTTORU de Iku ze CLEAR MIND!!!!! *doing my by best konata sparking impression*
well technically synchro summoning pioneered the popularity of summon chant in yuhioh. summon chant was already there way before synchro summon exist but because summon chant bring badass factor to the mix it became part of yugioh tradition even outside of synchro summon.
Synchro Summons solidified the summon chant concept. When Aki began reciting, the audience & 5D’s were in awe before Stardust Dragon hit the Duel Disk. Summon chants became defacto a summoning requirement for some monsters, especially since you can make multiple monsters with the exact same materials.
I know this might be better served in a "what makes a duel special" episode, but the first summon of Shooting Star Dragon set to Clear Mind was, and still is, the pinnacle of epic synchro summons.
Gongezaka is hands down one of the most underrated YuGiOh characters. Seriously, between him, Go and Gakuto, people always sleep on the Tristan tertiary male character leads
I love that his cards just attack in defense position so even if there destroyed you still won't take damage unless it's piercing. But there best boss monster had got to be Superheavy samurai soul train
It's primary because those characters are just fodder. I was hoping they'd do something interesting and dynamic with gongenzaka what with their presentation as a trio, but ultimately he is so inconsequential compared to Yuya and Yuzu.
He's one of many examples of Arc V having an excellent cast that wasn't done justice in terms of attention received, imo, although I suppose every Yugioh show has an example of that. I love Gogenzaka's relationship with Yuya, his hammy personality, and his phenomenal play style. The man is truly a gem.
I think you should have included T.G halberd cannon, Aki summoning stardust Dragon, or at least Yusei summoning savior star Dragon against Harald as part of this, but not a bad list either.
Antinomy literally created Accel Synchro Summons and yet he is ignored by the peasant mortals of this world... I see the way it is! We deserved the Zero Reverse. 😒😒😒 (Nice video though.)
I've been most invested in Yugioh competitively during the Synchro Era. It was by far my favorite and Synchro is to this day still my favorite summoning method. Be it irl, in 5ds or even Arc V, it was always so much fun. So I was looking forward to this video since the fusion one. Love all the selections here. Most of my favorites are probably from Yusei. Especially Stardust, Shooting Star, Quasar etc.
Shooting Quasar Dragon will always be my favorite synchro summon. I think he’s my favorite monster overall as well. I never got into Arc-V but it makes me happy they used a similar animation for the synchro summon. Not sure what Vrains was going for but it’s… messy.
Thank you Dylan for a Good Video! I like all the Synchro Summonings in this video. It is cool whenever a Character can do a Summoning Method in the show.
I like synchro summon because its the mechanic that requires the most skill to perform ( talking about endboards with Quasar and crystal wing+2 negates)
I'd say it's probably rituals that is the hardest to play skillfully (if skillfully means in a way where you can win constantly without using very broken cards)
Reiji cards were so damn diverse. The possibility with him seemed almost endless. Legit used cards from every dimension with a mysterious eerie confidence I've never seen in Yu-Gi-Oh.
My Favorite Was Shooting Star Dragon ( the First Time Summoned ) and Life Stream Dragon ( First Time ) just Seeing Yusei Overcome his Anxiety of Failing Another Clear Mind And Lua Matured and Seeing Power Tool Break It's Shell to Reveal The Synchro was amazing in my Eyes oh and Don't forget Red Nova Dragon ( Last Summon ) Just Seeing Red Dragon Archfiend Have the Flame Rings Crincle Around Him And Like Making a Fire Ball was Awesome
Borrelload Savage Dragon is my favourite Synchro monster. Revolvers deck was the first deck I brought to my locals in Newport and summoned it just like Revolver from the chant to the Topologic Trisbeana theme playing. Everyone loved it.
Life stream would be the next signer dragon but because of the popularity of the black wing archetype that is why it came late and that is a fact by the way ladies and gentlemen
Antinomy summoning T.g Halberd Cannon is by far the best synchro in all of ygo. In that scene alone he broke the speed of light to push Yusei out of the even horizon of a black hole, made a sun like star go supernova with just his own ener-D to delta accel synchro tg halberd cannon. Taught Yusei how to delta accel synchro and his ace is the only "enemy" boss monster Yusei could not defeat.
Is it safe to say that I think Synchros were the last interesting game mechanic brought to Yugioh before Rush Duels? I enjoyed Zexal, Arc V, and...well VRains wasn't that great to me, but I never really felt that compelled to want to try out their unique summoning systems.
@@YugiohEverything It was okay, but it kind of felt like a rehash of Synchros with needing specific leveled monsters to summon an XYZ monster as opposed to the Tuner monsters. Not a bad system, just a retread I think they could have made a bit more unique.
@@AshXXMayftw XYZ were to me the most interesting mechanic as there was a payoff to the monsters being so easy to summon, Fusion and Ritual need a spell card, and Synchro relies on tuner monsters, XYZ just need the same level monsters which is far easier to manage at any given moment and deck building, but the payoff is their effects are overlay unit reliant meaning if you are out of overlay units you can't use your effects and in some cases your monster is destroyed if it has non
Enlightent paladin, Nirvana, clear wing dragon to me are one of the best monsters their effects are really good Sad that I can’t use them like the old times due to the change of the pendulum rules
Junk Warrior in the 1st episode of 5ds will always be an iconic one. Cause even though Stardust is his ace, it had been Junk Warrior from the beginning to the final episode when Yusei beat Jack Atlas with it.
2:16 That sound by Roget. 😆 Seeing your reaction to it on your Arc V watchalong, I knew you had to just put that at the end. Still, doesn’t beat his mental breakdowns during the awesome Jack vs Sergey duel.
I always found it kind of hilarious when Yusei summoned Shooting Star Dragon and Shooting Quasar Dragon. It's like "I need a Synchro but it doesn't exist? Well I'm going PRINT the card right now!
The first synchro monster I ever saw was Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. It was cool, I've never seen anything like that before (me as a player coming back last year since Cyber Dragons in gx) but then,Z-arc's Supreme King Dragon Clear Wing was just a show that just made me love that card. Thanks to those dragons I became I synchro player.
5Ds is the first series which have character reading line when they summon a strong monster, right? That became a tradition, and it's cool af! I love it!
Great synchro summons! The stardust line, Clear wing line and Borreload Savage will always be the best imo. I hope to see one for xyz. Rituals, Maximums and Pendulums and probably won't happen and links will be just 20 minutes of Yusaku
@@heatsflamesman5353 I think he just means that Links is still pretty recent so the only ones that are gonna be featured in the video is Vrains and there wouldn't be much point making a top 25 if so.
Someone missed the first Time Yusei Managed to Summon Shooting Star Dragon and the Boss Blazer Cosmic Dragon and Crow with his Black Feather Dark Dragon
The first summon of Black Feather Dragon is still one of the most teaching moments in all 5D's, imo. Crow is literally crying when he screams out the dragon's name
My favorite is whenever yusei summons shooting star dragon. The summoning chant with the animation as well as the song "Clear Mind" playing in the background just gives me goosebumps everytime.
Lejos el shooting star dragon es la mejor! 👌 Infernity doom dragon, los savior dragon, el Black Rose y scar red nova, lejos están en mí top. Claramente todos en doblaje japonés. El inglés da pena

Also, here's a fun story related to this series. Back when Synchros were very new I ended up buying a Special Edition which contained 3 packs of Crossroads of Chaos and by some miracle I managed to pull a ghost rare Black Rose Dragon 1st Edition.
Synchro always had the best summons. But aki yusie and jack are the greatest with black rose dragon coming with pedals. Stardust dragon dust is so cool regardless and jack pounding his chest is just amazing.
I draw! Now I tune my level 3 Deep-Sea Denizen Anglerfish and my level 4 Deep-Sea Denizen Gulper Eel with my level 2 Deep-Sea Denizen Deep-Sea Shrimp! Let your three hardened souls call the ultimate deep sea predator from the deepest abyss! Let myth become reality! Synchro Summon! Level 9 Deep-Sea Denizen Deep Sea Dragonfish!
