What's up with all the green iguanas in FL? In 30+ years in SE FL, I never saw any in the "wild", but recently saw 2, one in my backyard, and the other behind some fast food places. No fear of humans or cars.

#13... Clear frog. We have them in south GA. We call them rain Frogs, because they would all start croaking right before a rain came. We used to watch them as a child on the windows of the house eting insects by the porch light. You could see the insects in their system. It was cool to see. Maybe those are the same and hitched a ride to south GA somehow... ???

Nepal has some very cool and very different flora and fauna. Lush succulents and desert plants growing next to each other and extremely well-camouflaged animals.

Bruno’s casque headed and Greening’s frogs which are venomous (direct delivery of toxin), having spines on their heads that deliver their venom as they head butt when they feel threatened. The Iberian ribbed newt is another rare, venomous amphibian, as most amphibians with toxins are poisonous (indirect delivery). In contrast, almost all reptiles with a toxin are venomous, however there are a handful of snakes which are poisonous, including certain individuals of the common garter snake in the Pacific Northwest, which obtain tetrodotoxin from its diet of pacific newts (very diet dependent), and colubrids of the rhabdophis genus, which obtain bufotoxins from their diet of toads. The slow loris, which contains toxin similar to cat dander in brachial glands (near the elbow). Which it will lick, and mixed with its saliva which usually contains other toxins from its diet, becomes more potent. They can then inject the toxins through biting an attacker, but a mother will groom her young, making her offspring poisonous to predators that would try to eat it. Dudes I read the coolest thing recently about a flightless species of Rail(small, long legged water bird) apparently the atoll they lived on exclusively sank 136,000 years ago making the bird extinct...apparently when it resurfaced thousands of years later the same bird re-evolved on the same atoll, they identified the current bird by comparing them to the fossil remains of their ancestors. This is an extremely rare event and they look forward to studying them more. I think it is the first example of this type of evolution in a higher organism. Hopefully the fact the Eurasian Lynx might be radioactive will help keep the safe from poachers, nature is amazing the area around Chernobyl was supposed to be a wasteland forever and the flora and fauna weren’t told this so they just went batsh*t crazy and are thriving.

When I was about 6, my grandpa's sheep gave birth to a lamb with extra eyes and an extra tail. It only lived for about an hour but was pretty freaky looking! 5 eyes and 2 tails on a lamb... Made me scared of lambing season, I can tell you! I've also had the privilege of seeing a liger way too close and personal before I knew what one was! Most beautiful animal I've ever seen!

Your not lying when you say frogs are some of the weirdest animals on Earth. Hairy frogs, poison dart frogs, flying frogs, oh and don't forget wood frogs the frogs that survive winter by shutting down their bodies and basically freezing to death only to thaw out in the summer and be perfectly alive and fine. These are just frogs say nothing about their cousins in the toad family 😁.

The most bizarre animal I have seen is my mostly black calico cat. She doesn't act the way a normal cat should. She tends to act either like a dog, a jack rabbit, a bird, and a horse. There are also times that she always have to lay on her back. All stretched out. And she sticks her legs up in the air. Plus when she drinks water. She has to use her one paw to drink it. I am 39 years old and been around cats almost my entire life. And she is the first cat I ever saw that does those things. My mother who is 63 years old. And she said the same thing about her. And she's been around cats ever since she was a little kid. Growing up on her father's dairy farm. We only get really irritated with her when she drinks water with her one paw. Because she tends to dirty up the water for our other cat. Who drinks water the correct way. My sister in law's one cat does the same exact thing. And even she never saw a cat that drinks water like that. She is almost 43 years old. And even she has been around cats her entire life as well. We just can't understand the reason for that.

No weird animals here but a farmer in the county had a 2 headed cow that lived for quite a while. Locals knew and could arrange to visit but he kept it quiet; didn’t want publicity.

Tristan, the two-headed "cow" was misidentified. Its actually a two headed "calf". A cow is a female bovine who had more than one calf in her lifetime. If its a girl, its a heifer, if its a boy, its a bull.

we have a lizard here in Missouri that is called a glass lizard. it is exactly what you described in number 2. its lizard all the way, but has no legs and moves like a snake.

Mike, sheepshead fish are also all born female and the dominant females then mature into males. When I lived on Catalina these fish are common there.
