Some of these people have far more money than they deserve, even if they honestly earned it. How about putting up those big bucks to help others in need? Just one of my crazy ideas.
If I had that kind of money I wood bye land and set up housings for the homeless along with schools to teach a trade to people so they can have a future
The problem with that plan is that not all but most of our county’s homeless population are there because they choose to be there. They refuse to give up the drugs and alcohol that they use daily. I know many people who are homeless and even have family that is homeless and they all will tell you that. They say why work and pay for a house when they can sleep wherever they want and live off of government assistance including food stamps, cash assistance and a free cell phone. If you had that kind of money it would be better spent donating to St. Jude’s or Shriners children’s hospitals. That is a noble cause worth every penny that is spent on it.
@mrsullivan1709 I don't know about "most" homeless people WANTING to be homeless and live on the streets. You act like getting food stamps and free health care is worth sleeping on a sidewalk. It's not. Many of them would much rather be able to afford a house and have a permanent residence. Of course there are a good amount of homeless people that aren't able to or don't want to give up drugs and alcohol.. and of course there are some that don't want to work but it's not a majority. As somebody that has done a lot of volunteer work at shelters, you couldn't be more wrong in your perception. They are people and they hold value. A lot of them fell on hard times. It's pretty easy to get there in this economy and hard as hell to pull yourself out. I do agree that St. Judes Children's hospital is an amazing charity to support but OP has a great idea and a huge heart for wanting to help the less fortunate. ❤
@@maggiebeltaa5421 The good ones that are just down on their luck usually find a way to get back on their feet. But I know dozens and dozens who of 99% will tell you that they like the way they live because they have nobody holding them to any type of standard or account and they can do what they want when they want. They are also the ones who don’t typically turn to the shelters because at the shelters there are rules to abide by. And I agree that it is big hearted and well meaning to want to help. I myself find it hard to do so anymore when I have given food to people who claim to be hungry just to watch them throw it away as soon as they believe you’re gone.
I’m surprised Sadam Hussein didn’t make the list! His palaces were beyond the scope of frivolous spending. Every bathroom had solid gold loos, sinks, faucets and several huge tubs. His bed frames were solid gold.
Decades ago, I read that all the found gold on the planet can be quantified into a solid block of gold that is surprisingly not as large as one would think it would be. I don't remember the dimensions, I only remember that the cube is much smaller than I had thought it would be. Not even the size of my house. Excuse me now, while I go down the YT rabbit hole to find those measurements...bye!
Thank you for this exposé of the very rich, especially the poor guy from India who was apparently murdered for he solid-gold shirt! Good grief! If I were to win the lottery, I would create a charitable trust and find worthy organizations to donate money. My hubby and I live modestly, and we’re doing just fine, thank God for good health, it’s a blessing. Btw, I cannot get enough of your channel.
If I got to billionaire status I’d probably be buying a lot of real estate. I’ve never been a jewelry or car person. I might drive a few $100k Mercedes Benz’s or Porsches. I might not think twice before buying my next purse, shoes or clothes but I doubt I will spend ridiculous amounts. Though I might start a few scholarships at mine and my husband’s Alma maters. I have a millionaire aunt in China. She’s a rags to riches story. Despite being a millionaire she lives quite modestly. The main difference between rich her and poor her is that she doesn’t need to think twice before making a purchase. Although she owns designer handbags and shoes, they aren’t worth $1000s a piece.
I would have a mansion with a media room built like the console room on Doctor Who. For each section would have one form of media: DVD player, Blu-ray Player, VHS, internet TV, etc. There would also be switches to make the column function and sound while also having room for pop up reclining chairs to watch on a big screen TV that comes open from the wall.
So, the rich get that way by paying workers poorly so they can have things that are basically “I don’t know what else to do with my money so let’s buy stupid things or buy to show off my status” I give up on humanity. Seems like help your fellow man is a concept they don’t understand.
It’s their money and they can spend it on what they want, however they should all be ashamed of themselves spending money on such frivolous unnecessary crap. No matter where you look in this world that money would be better spent doing something more important. Many years ago there was the concept of philanthropy, wealthy people put back into the people who made that money for them. We need more of that today.
If I had that kind of money I would take care of all families debts. Buy them houses and make sure my family and friends don't have to struggle. And then I would donate money to different things. Including diabetes research. Alztimers research. Breast cancer research. Many other charity's.
I'd pay off my mom's house, give it a new roof, siding, deck, remodel the kitchen and fix a drainage pipe downstairs. Love this house but it needs work that I can't afford.
I'm surprised he didn't mention Bryan Johnson. The tech billionaire that invented a process to take blood from children and inject it into billionaires as a way to slow down the aging. As if it could get any more evil.
I was at the dinner where Clive Palmer officially announced the construction of Titanic 2. There was a documentary on a big screen, speeches, and other entertainment between courses from an authentic Titanic dinner menu. I had the lamb. Rare. With very little mint sauce.
2:46 Elon didn’t found Tesla. One of his stipulations in the contract was that he be listed as one of the creators. He’s not responsible for nearly as much as he claims. Like PayPal.
Steve Cohen is my boss lmao. Really cool guy. I learned a lot from him. If you look from the outside. You'll see a billionaire and a guy who loves his Maybach. But if you sit and talk with him he's a very well spoken eccentric and kind person. He also lets his employees have seats at the Mets games.
Be so nice if some of these billionaires would spend some of this cash on helping!! I know some do, but not nearly enough. AND most of them "earned" their money by under paying their workers! Great list BTW
I would pay off my debt. Give my family money and get them settled. Actually take a vacation that I could call an actual vacation. Move, buy a house of my own. Go back to college
10:43 I just can’t help but think he could have had it overnighted. I’m assuming that he paid a courier to bring the hat and it didn’t just sit in an empty plane seat
I would buy some land to just retreat away from everyone. Woods around me, different houses for who I actually like, or future homes for my kids if they'd like. But it would literally be to escape this world and retreat into peacefulness.
These items are funny, but it also makes me a little bit mad because they were ridiculous. I just think to myself I wish I had this much extra money that I didn’t know what to do with so I can spend it on these ridiculous things… So I guess I’m saying I’m a little bit jealous…
Here’s a thought, Madonna should give Elton John some of her holy water so his flowers won’t die. Now I got a question for West. If he drops a load in his toilet, does its value go down the tube? 🤦♂️
I would feed and house those less fortunate. I would open a special needs business and make assistive technology more affordable for those who need it. In some cases people could get it for free. I have many things I would like to do, but those are at the top of my list.
Yeah, not anything on this list, that's for sure. I'm a simple 40 year old man is cleaning out the small upstairs apartment that my 83 year old Mom left to be in a nursing home. I'm still working at a grocery store of over 8 years & I walk everywhere I go. I didn't drive. So yeah, I would be set for life with what those idiots spending that much money on stupid shit. Mom & I growing up below the so-called poverty line, I've no problem sharing the wealth to some degree, but also throwing money at my local community instead of something golden or too much practical living space. Hell, just a few hours earlier today, I had a meeting with a Hospice company at Mom's nursing home. That has so much open grass to fit at least 4 facilities on the property. Come on Mega millions or Powerball lottery!!... An elementary school was demolished over a decade ago & it's still just an open grassfeald when I can think of some low-income housing potential. Sorry, but is it that hard to convert a school building into an apartment complex? I'm no plumber, but couldn't a toilet & bathtub/shower be installed inside a classroom? Not ones made of gold either. Of all the few schools I went to could easily be turned in to homes. Classroom 102 becomes apartment 102. Creating jobs too, sorry I just think the idea would be a good one. Grocery prices go up along with my rent, yet my paycheck stays the same. Anywho, you and your team try to have a good day/night. : )
I respect capitalism. Most invention are for and not to better humanity. It's sad when you buy an object for It's future investment. Why not use the money to invest into needy children. That's and investment to brag about.
Should have mentioned tech billionaire Bryan Johnson's research into injecting the blood of children into themselves to stop the aging process. Likely Madonna's secret.
9:20 $17,000? I thought that sounded really low for material and labor. It actually cost $240,000. Also he was be@ten 2de@th over a financial dispute. According to the propaganda site, Wiki anyway
