Thanks for sharing. I love your videos. I am new to Oxide and just started with a pack of 4 mini ones in the brown & black themes. I have two questions: 1- are the pads half-dry half wet? Or mine had been left on the shelf for a long time as they were more dry and by rubbing them on the paper I didn't gain much. 2- which ones could be essential colors to buy? The colors diversity is endless and the budget is limited. And from where ? Is Amazon a good source? Thank you in advance

My must have colors when I'm buying a new product are always pink (like picked raspberry) teal (like peacock feathers) and yellow ( like fossilized amber). I love each of these colors on their own, BUT they also mix to make, green, orange, and purple. =) You can buy them directly from Ranger. You can also find them on scrapbook.com or amazon.

If you've got mini ones then you've got original distress inks not oxides. Oxides only come in the large size & are a mix of dye and pigment ink. Original distress inks are dye only. Both have water reactive capabilities & wicking. I love them both but I think Oxides are easier to blend. They are so creamy & delicious and blend beautifully. If you can only get a few go with pink/red, blue & yellow as you can get secondary colours from them. I found i had to have more colours though, as i couldn't choose. I would always get a brown...Tim's signature colour. I like vintage photo. The cardstock you use is important too so try it out on what you have. If you are using a lot of water you may need watercolour paper or mixed media heavy stock. Have fun. Check out Tim's videos too as they are all on his blog. This is a great video and yes it's good to have all the techniques in one place 💕😃

Watercolor Wash 6:28 8. Bubble Wrap Stamp 7:08 9. Remove ink through stencil 8:06 10. Layer ink through stencil 8:38 11. Stencil Smooshing 9:12 12. Layer Stencil Patterns 10:12 13. Traditional Stamping 11:08 14. Wet Stamping 11:19 15. Heat Emboss 11:42 16. Ink Over Embossed Image 12:20 17. Paper Towel Lift 12:45 18. Spray Water On/Through Stencil 13:29 19. Spritz & Drip 14:23 20. Splatter 15:00 21. Stamp With Empty Tape Roll 15:47 22. Mix With Gesso 16:08 23. Use on Dark Paper 17:00 24. Stamp on Dark Paper 17:07 25. Thanks for sharing how to use these OXIDES for so many uses I've only used them for making the edges pretty on paper. Just to know they can be used in 25 ways in your tutorial will make them more fun. Endless ideals & possibilities with different colors!!! Time to get colors I don't have...
