Having lived in Europe for so long; it’s really bizarre and possibly a bit cringeworthy how this is still deemed an issue. America has a lot of catching up to do.
The difference is, in America, we talk about racism. In Europe you act like it doesn't exist. Europe is just as racist as everywhere else but your superiority complex won't let you admit that.
It depends on where you live in the US - remember this is a large country. It’s no big deal where I live and does not standout or elicited stares, it’s common place and has been so fora few decades, as it should be.

Complaining about race here is useless. Labels were created during the various slave trades the African, Egyptian, Slav, Irish, indentured, you name it. Racist Anglo-Saxons in power for world domination as it's still evident, built the ladder of cultural hierarchy.
