I regret not taking advantage of the food scene in Miami. I live in the Midwest now and we have nothing like this here. I fly back home in August, I can’t wait to try these delicious meals!
There aren't any Haitian restaurants with all the Haitians here? Thanks for the vid but... I actually was looking for Haitian food, still got some greasy places to though🙂
Been researching miami’s cuisine for a few weeks now since i have a trip coming up, and nothing has been as informative as this video so far, im glad i stumbled upon it, great work and amazing info.
As soon as I saw "made in Italy" truffle burger next to the car wash, I knew this guy was on point and a miami expert. Can't wait to try his other recommendations. BTW these aren't places you find after visiting for 2 weeks. It's die hard locals stuff.
Love this video. A kaleidoscope of eating and there is even much more. A viewer pointed out you did not even get to the Haitian and Jamaican eateries. But next time. You did a great job. Maybe you can do this for other cities in America. Lots of interest.
Damn bro…. This video! 🙌🏻 Thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing! Has made me stupid hungry now 😅 When can you come and spend some time in the UK and do something similar for us??
@@Davidsbeenhere that’s lucky because I know London and where the best spots are very well!! I’d be happy to be your personal guide or just give you some places to research and decide for yourself… there’s some real hidden gems out there and some very well know spots that deserve their reputation
I’ve been to a few of those places. I just definitely need to go to the food truck, I’ve heard about this. Yummy! Now when I lived in Venezuela, I’ve had the kabob, Omgoodness the baklava though…nothing better!! I miss this! Now I go to this Greek restaurant where I live and they do have their baklava delivered from Chicago, it doesn’t come close but it’s good! It’s always so good to see you David! Wishing you and the family well xo
u really need to try Trinidadian food bc its the best. Trinidadians are a mix between Indian and black that is the main ethnic group there if you didn't know. this is bc indians were brought to trinidad in the early 1800s as indentured laborers and blacks were brought to trinidad from west africa to do work. both the indians and blacks decided to stay in trinidad and make it their home and today their is currently 600,000 indians in trinidad. Alot of the indians in trinidad use their traditions in trinidad in the foods they make etc. trinidad and guyana are two carribean countries with a indian and black population.
Awwww, c'mon man! You never left south of Flagler! There is another whole world of restaurants and trucks up north, not just in Aventura and Miami Lakes but North Miami, Ojus, North Miami Beach--we have terrific Caribbean, Asian, all kinds of cuisines. We even have a KOSHER BBQ joint. You really need to get out of your South Miami, Coral Gables, Doral fixation.
El Sitio and Old's Havana Cuban bar and grill are the best. These are must go to restaurants in Downtown Miami and Little Havana (forget Versailles). Unfortunately wasn't able to visit Rakija Grill. I made Pleskavica at home and wanted to compare...maybe next time
Great video David and I know this change can't be easy for you. Hang in there... your content is always great. The places you pick to eat.... always the best. Looking forward to more local videos and hopefully some more that focus on Argentinian food. Some your best videos are the ones that you do with your Father - looking forward to hopefully more with you and him too. The combination really makes for some great videos.
As for Cuban food, and I know I’m going to catch hell for this, but my wife and I loved Versailles over Old’s. Our AirBNB host said go to Versailles only once and then move on. He said it was a tourist trap haha! We ended up going three times. Loved their Cuban Coffee over other places I tried. As for Sanguich and I’m going to catch hell for this too, I didn’t care for their Cuban sandwich. I didn’t like their pickles and the ham had a heavy coriander flavor, which I love but not for a Cuban. I liked Versailles’ Cuban better. Best Cuban I EVER had in my life was at Panaderia Espania in Carolina PR. Oh my god..sooo good!! Overall it’s an amazing bakery with incredible house coffee!
Hello David nice for showing some nice spots ideas to try in Florida…. It will be a pleasure to film a Surinamse Restaurant.. so you can compare with the food you really eat in Suriname from your visit. 🙏🏻🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷
Hi David..great video! My wife and I were in Miami in 2022 and are headed back in June 2024. The one place I saw years ago on your channel was Budare Bistro, and unfortunately we never made it there. I want to go this time around. Question…do you still recommend that place or is there now better options for Venezuelan food?
Don't beat me up, but this video is like a report being read - videos are awesome...more inflection and pauses needed to make it sound like you are authentic. Love your content no matter :-)
Phone up in the yard I would love a coupon on but you had to get it from Washington Heights upper New York area. They made the best. Thanks for taking me back to some of my favorite foods
All theses beautiful places & wonderful foods made me want to leave right now 😄😄👌 will visit this summer JULY, day after 4th....."Can't Wait " I will being the stecthy clothing 😁😋 My first visit to Miami 👍
Wow. We were looking for a guide to "locals" places to eat in Miami. Your video met our need and is incredible. We are staying one week starting this Sunday in Doral. So, your guide will be very helpful. I am having a problem finding the "Calle 8" restaurant you featured in Little Havana. Again, thanks for this and your other videos from around the world. We love the food on Isla Mujeres, Mexico... I will have to search your extensive content and see if you have been there? Mel & Barbara in South Carolina
Getting hungry while watching the video. 😋 I'm wondering if there is a german food place to go. (By the way, the FL in my nick is from FLensburg, Germany) 😃
