Oh and I forgot to mention, keep doing what you're doing! Not only do you help people find the correct running shoes, but you also motivate them to become better runners 💪🏼
On one side there are random IG and runfluencers out there 👎... and then there are real runners like you who take time to entertain us, make us smile, give us honest reviews whilst training hard without taking themselves too seriously. As a runner and parent, I know how much time and effort that takes. Thank you. Virtual coffee on me ❤
I started looking for the right running shoe for my occasional running, and ended being motivated to become a full time runner besides my boxing workouts, just by watching your shoe reviews, and I bought the NB more v5 after watching your review on it and wow! Love it!
Ghost Max - OUT Yes I would like to see a plated trainer review and you deserve a BANG!!! being able to put out videos even while 9 to 5ing and having a family. I don't even have a family and still can't maintain work, running and also doing strength work so props to you, I like to be a hybrid and enjoy lifting and running....
Yesterday, I went for a long tempo run early in the morning on an empty stomach. About a third of the way through, I started feeling really hungry, even though I had a late dinner. I couldn’t finish the run, but that’s okay. I’m just enjoying the privilege of running without any immediate goals.
The comedic zingers were flying today! 😂 Very inspirational to see you pushing past constraints to get the work in. Also looking forward to your thoughts on the Mach X2! That's on my list for sure
Consistently another great review, enjoyed the commentary on paring complementary trainers. Would be huge benefit if you could share your thoughts on warmup and cool down stretching routine
I just got my pair in. What’s the talk about these being boring on reviews? I was out running average effort. They are soft, springy, lite, fun. I look down at the watch I was hitting PRs by accident. All my July miles have been in the rebel so maybe that plate and foam added that free propulsion. $170, what are people running in these are boring for that price? That accidental PR wasn’t boring :)
+1 for the Plated Trainer Comparison. I got over 350 miles on both Boston 12 (Long Run + Pace) and NB SC T2 (easy recovery) and am curious if I should buy more of those when they go on super sale or if I need to think about the Magic Speed 4 or something else...I'm 42...175lb...50-60MPW for the past 3 months...feeling a little beat up.
Would you think that this is good to have in a rotation with the superblast 2? Looking for a tempo shoe. Im pretty knew to running (3 months in) 56 minute 10k, 6’7 245lbs
This one looks really good. I believe it has Asics "Guidesole" geometry, which is just a really nice rocker, similar to the Noosa Tri and the Glideride. It also doesn't look like a really big shoe, which is nice. Will the Magic Speed 5 go full SL2, with a bed of Turbo+ on top of Blast+?
Yeah it has lots of foam on paper but doesn't feel like too much shoe on foot. I've gotta try the Noosa at some point this year - that rocker looks so good. An SL2 magic speed would be amazing
These, I have two pairs of Endorphins speed and tried these on the other they will be the replacement for them when they die, I when for the invincible 3 because I as bying something more relaxed so not as speedy as these, tried the Novablast but it was too tight in the toebox these felt fine
That shoe is awesome! I'll probably be doing race shoes only for the long runs though for the next bit since I'm deep in marathon training. I did a 22 mile day with a 14 mile morning run in the specter 2 and they were great tho - here's that vid if you missed it 22 Miles of Marathon Training in the Topo Specter 2 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uThuyXvbsSE.html
Still torn between nike vaporfly 3 and asics magic speed 4 for my speed session, any suggestions? (I’m currently rocking pegasus 38 & novablast 3 for my dailies)
I enjoy popping into the videos, but to be honest, I only ever skip to your post-run thoughts. Don’t get me wrong, your long form style is unique and refreshing, and I appreciate that, I just don’t have an hour to sit through the entire vlog when all I’m looking for is your specific thoughts on the shoe. I’m gonna assume I’m in the minority here, but I do think you’d benefit from taking the post run thoughts section of your videos and putting them on a second channel dedicated to reviews. I think it’d do pretty well with minimal added effort on your part. It also means I don’t have to mess up your metrics by only watching portions of your videos.
@tjboyte I was thinking the same thing, some days I can sit and watch the whole vlog but most days have to skip close to the end to get the bulk of the review. Keep your current format but maybe do a cut down version of just the thoughts and review. Just some constructive criticism. Thanks for putting in the work 🤙 😊
Since he mentioned that it would still make sense to have the DN3 with the Magic Speed because of the density difference, any one here think the same if Boston12 is paired with the DN3 or are they too similar? Currently looking at the DN3 at a discount but have yet to try them on in-store. TIA!
Boston 12 and deviate nitro 3 are pretty similar but the puma is a lot more comfortable in the midsole and has a better fitting upper. I can use the puma for daily miles but only like the Boston for fast runs/long runs with race pace. The puma can be kind of narrow so it may not be the best fit depending on your foot size. Unfortunately they don't carry Puma anywhere in store in the US - but if you use my running warehouse link they have free 90 day returns
@@supwell Did not even notice the legend himself replied to me! Wish I could use your RW link but I live in a different country. Appreciate the input though! Just tried the DN3 in-store, tight but indeed less finicky fit. Wish I could try on a run as I've seen mixed reviews, seems like heel strikers like and forefoot strikers dont lol I'm more of a mid/forefoot striker but your reviews are so awesome and on-point that all the shoes I've bought are bang on based on what you said. Appreciate your videos big time!
that was a painful watch.........felt like watch a house burning down in real time...got some "Emil Zatopek" vibes....totally agree with the importance of running up hills thankfully 20 grams more weight in a shoe is far more important than my 20 pounds around my belly
The only evidence that exists for injury prevention is that running is only 1 shoe is worse than multiple. So you could argue that running in ONLY carbons could be bad But you could also say running in only flats, or high stack etc will lead to injuries too.. the stress points will change throughout your body
