One of my cars which I had in my teen years was an Olds 98 convertible. It was not the "Fiesta" but still was a gorgeous car. I was in high school in the mid 1950's when I had it. It was fire engine red with duals of course which were great sounding. It rmains one of my al time favorite cars along with the 5 '65 Buick Rivieras I had, 2 of which were GS's~my all time favorite car.
Exactly! How is a 1964 Mustang silly? And unless you’re from another planet, you’ve heard of the 1964 (actually 1964 1/2) mustang. Not only that. But it’s obvious that AI wrote this based on the formal wording.
The title of your video is completely off base from what the video shows and is about. And I really hate the AI generated Franken car picture on the watch this video display
@@dmandman9 Soulless, and backasswards. I never made it to the 2-minute mark, but seeing the Oldsmobile and Corvette was enough. Both are beautiful cars.
I agree Tom. I was born in 1935 and I owned a few of these so-called silly cars from the 50's. I could do my own engine replacing almost all by myself, but now, no way. I miss the old days for sure.
@@normanwyatt8761 My Dad and I rebuilt the engines on a 1950 Chevy and a 1960 Dodge in our carport back in the day. Today I lift the hood of my car and don't know what I am looking at. Cars when I was a kid were works of art and I always looked forward to seeing the new cars when they came out. Today not so much, they all look alike and not at all stylish! Cadillacs used to be Cadillacs but today they are little overpriced, upgraded Toyotas.
You're showing a 1953 Chevrolet Corvette engine, talking about it being a 6 cylinder, yet you show what is obviously a V-8 engine. I can't watch any more. You have a great concept but did poorly in executing it.
This wonderful collage of mid century cars is spoiled by the misinformation and by the addition of customized & altered examples. And worse yet, the AI narrator calls these milestone cars, “silly” and at one point, “bizarre”. Two words that better describe this video. Nice try, though.
I'm a car lover, so I'm a bit confused by the title of this video. Did you title the video to draw more people in or do you not know what you're talking about? Some of these cars are considered classics.
Aside from thee low fuel economy and th osteentatious styling I don't see what was "Silly" about some of the greatest dcars of all time? Something had to be positive about the 1960s and the cars were one of those things! Thy were so KEWL!!
I remember seeing most of these cars live and affording to drive them was inexpensive since gas was 25 and 35 cents per gallon during the fifties and sixties. The cost to buy for some wasn't too difficult if you earned at least 2.00 to 3.00 dollars per hours if my memory serve me correct.
An excellent review of "50s cars ; but I do not understand the title of your Show . Many set new concepts and engineering while others showed extreme styling.
@@richardmerriam7044 I knew guys that owned MG's they had a 4 cylinder, yet they were sporty. The problem with the Corvette was not the size of the engine it was the fact that the car was a tank!
who comes up with this crap? The 1964 Mustang was "silly'????? The video does not match the narration, for the 1953 Corvette it describes an in line 6 but shows a V8. this is a stupid waste of time.
I don't know about the Corvette being silly, but it was a poor car, when word got out about how bad the 1953 corvette was. The last new 1953 corvette never sold until 1959. GM couldn't give them away.
Let's face it: DRIVE TV MAKES GARBAGE CONTENT! They don't seem to understand the English language. The titles never match the content. The content shows little insight. This stuff just isn't very good. Life is way too short to waste on this crap.
If I watch it, I still consider, I can't stand Coupés that much and really hate Convertibles. You pay more for less car, for the well sortet crap. Sorry for my honesty. Bring back the urban Sedan... or Station Wagons nobody seems to care anymore.
Obviously this is a list made by someone who thinks tge cars made today are stylish. Most cars made today look very much alike unlike the actual styling of cars of tge 50s, 60s and 70s.
