Relaxed Hair Tips (summary) 1. Deep condition regularly (focus on moisture cuz relaxed hair is thirsty hair.) 2. Turn down the heat! If you cannot dial it down, get a flat iron/curl iron you can regulate. 3. Watch frequency of relaxers. STRETCH! 4. Never overlap relaxers (and watch type of relaxers to avoid build up - avoid Calcium Hydroxide.) 5. Bone straight hair is not the goal of a relaxer. 6. Scalp health matters! Always base scalp. 7. Relaxer is for the hair, not the scalp. 8. Relaxer should not be applied to the edges first. 9. Do not shampoo hair 3 days before a relaxer. 10. The scalp is not an indicator of when the relaxer is gone professing. Processing time starts as soon as the relaxer touches the hair. 11. Avoid caffeine going into your relaxer appointment! Makes scalp more sensitive. 12. Do not wear a hat to appointment. 13. Do not workout before a relaxer 14. Opt for low heat styling. 15. Maintain style by wrapping at night. Do not apply heat daily. 16. Always sleep on satin or silk (these are moisture resistant fabrics.) 17. PROFESSIONALLY: ask stylist about using OLAPLEX 1 in relaxer and OLAPLEX 2 post relaxer. 18. Stay on top of trims. 19. Relaxer and bleaching do not go together. 20. Be gentle (wet hair tells all the truth dry hair lies about.) 21. Detangle hair starting at from the ends. 22. Relaxed hair is high porosity. 23. Use heat protection (isopropyl alcohol and SD alcohol free.) 24. Do not be afraid of silicones after moisturizing hair. 25. Hair should not be relaxed prior to puberty. Additional tips not listed: medical and psychiatric conditions (thyroid disease, lupus, alopecia , depression, anorexia etc) impact hair. My tip: Puberty is not a license to process!
1. Deep condition 2. Watch your temperature- 350° max 3. Watch your frequency 4. Never overlap relaxer 5. Never get your hair bone straight 6. Scalp health matters (base your scalp) 7. Avoid getting relaxer on your scalp 8. Do not apply relaxer to your edges first 9. Do not wash your hair 3 days prior to getting a relaxer 10. The scalp is not an indicator of when the relaxer is processed 11. Avoid caffeine prior to getting a relaxer 12. Do not wear a hat prior to your appointment 13. Do not workout before getting a relaxer 14. Opt for low heat styles such as twist outs, roller sets etc 15. Wrap your hair at night 16. Sleep on silk 17. Mix Olaplex #1 in the relaxer 18. Stay on top your trims 19. Relaxer & bleach are not a good combination 20. Be gentle with your hair especially when it’s wet 21. Start at the ends of your hair & work your way up 22. Relaxed hair is high porosity hair 23. Use heat protection & products that are alcohol free 24. Don’t be scared of silicones 25. Do not relax your child’s hair prior to puberty.
He was my teacher in cosmetology school, just wanted to drop in and thank him for being an awesome teacher! Happy to see your page doing well and thriving!
I hope it is okay to say this. For those with relaxed hair, just know that ALMOST every thing he talks about natural hair, can be applied to relaxed hair. I am relaxed for years, followed him and applied a lot of his teaching to my hair routine. With some research, I tweak some advice to take care of my hair as relaxed. I stretched between 11 to 13 weeks.
Hey! Like always, I enjoyed reading your content. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and instructor as well. Relaxer is making a huge comeback. At 46, I was tired of the long hair and wanted a new mature look. Then I saw you posted a new video. I'm going to relax my hair. ❤ What sodium base relaxer do you use?
I’ve also used his natural hair advice for my relaxed hair. The blend of deep conditioner and protein made my hair blossom and corrected some weakness. Thanks Linwood
My fave one is SafeRX by Vitale Pro. I used to have to special order it, but it was one of the few that I was actually satisfied with in the relaxer market.
These tips are 1000% spot on. Relaxed girl here, still loving the creamy crack for well over 30 years and my hair is super healthy. I am at 12 to 14 weeks for a relaxer. First, having a fabulous hairdresser is key. When Covid hit I was forced to deal with hair that had not been relaxed in well over a year. During that time I relied on the relief and hydration of natural hair products gave me. As Lindwood says, (I love that he and my cousin share the same name!❤) hydration is the key. Most people believe If you get a relaxer you are done with your hair. As your hair is your crowning joy why on earth would you not tend to it and treat it like gold? I only use heat on my hair after wash and blow-dry. I always wrap my hair in silk and/or satin. I pin curl my hair or use Spoolies. I don't weigh my scalp down with heavy oils as your head needs to breathe. I only use product when necessary. Do all the tips in this video and you will have lovely locks always.
@@halleenjohnson7311 You are very welcome! I've spent a lifetime researching products for myself. Believe me I was not always careful in my youth. When you have your hair fallout you will learn the hard way that your hair no matter who you are or how you process or don't process your hair, you have to take care of it. Blessings to you.
I agree and love your comment. I’ve been relaxed over 30 years. My hair is healthy as I go to a professional hairdresser who use top tier products. I also take care of me hair.
Thank you for this. A few years ago I relaxed my hair and my licensed cosmetologist relaxed my hair and left it on for so long. I asked her how long is supposed to sit, she said until my scalp burns…. I had been natural for about 12 years at the time and I even knew that was false. I pretended to be burning. She rinsed it out and my hair was boooone straight. My hair was so straight I didn’t need to flat iron at all, and my hair felt gummy. I was so upset because I had been a client for a while and I trusted her. I cut my hair and restarted. Never went back to her again.
Wow, smh😮. This is Exactly why for 36years I have done it myself 14-51yo. No one will take as much care as you do. I'm sorry to hear you had that experience 🙏
Yessss! Shout out to the girly whose comment led to this content. I've known for a while that moisture and protein balance matter for both relaxed and natural hair - so most of your content has always been helpful to me. Most of your tips are already a part of my hair routine, but the biggest takeaways are: the sensitive scalp chemical difference, that coarse hair is really fine and how to use silicones. I live in Houston and sweat in my head, so the humidity has me at war with frizz. So many products to combat frizz have silicones so I haven't been able to find a solution to the frizz. Your tips on how to use them are much appreciated!
Have you by chance tried Miel rosemary styling cream? Can’t remember the exact name but it’s part of that rosemary oil line… if doing twist outs of even buns or whatever m, it helps smooth frizz. Honestly the shampoo thick rich conditioner and the oil are great
Thank you for saying that it’s an individual journey on whether you would like to be natural or relaxed. I’m relaxed and happy. Natural hair isn’t for everyone and I respect everyone’s hair journey.
Thank you Linwood for these amazing tips! I did not know relaxing prior to puberty was so risky until you broke down the reasons why & it makes perfect sense. Also, thank you to the subbie who brought the lack of relaxed content to Linwood’s attention; i hope you didnt unsubscribe and miss this amazing video❤
I was always led to believe by my mother that she had to relax my hair because I didn't want it combed as a child. So I grew up believing that my natural hair would be so hard to handle. My hair stylist for years kept telling me that my hair would not be hard to take care as a natural. I am now in my late 40s and have just stopped relaxing my hair and I can't believe that my hair is not hard to handle as my mom led me to believe. So I 100 per cent agree with you with waiting and letting people decide once they are older to get their hair relaxed.
I relax my hair and literally treat it like it's natural. The less you do to your relaxed hair as far as intricate styles, the better. I stay keeping my hair moisturized! And my hair just keeps on flourishing 😊
I braided my hair up every night and 😊 take it down in the morning. I use olive oil on my hair. Just a drop olive all on my hair. I braided it up at night some weekend. I just rock. My braide hair relaxing around the house 😊 I try to make my life very simple, no fake hair, not fake nails 🙂 Jus t me, Mrs. B. I see a lot of women don't know who they are on the inside 😊love yourself this gentleman has good intentions, very nice advice 😊
I truly believe that many professional stylist don't know this. I still have scalp damage 20 years later from a bad relaxer where she pulled, scratched and then put a processing cap on my head. It finally stopped having pain in the areas around three years ago but my hair grows in weakly in those areas. As a matter of fact. I'm lossing three of my locs in that area now.
I'm so sorry you went through that. I have never heard of anyone especially stylists pull or scratch during processing a relaxer let alone put on a process cap. Thats something you may do with conditioner.. I hope you were compensated .
I too am relaxed and although I’ve taken a lot of your profession hair care knowledge of the natural men and women to some of my hair routines….I have also been one of those who felt like I was missing even more valuable information. I’m so glad that you first apologized to the (hopefully still subscribed RU-vid member), and then addressed every thing possible for us relaxed hair viewers/subscribers can now take even more information and apply to our daily, weekly, or even monthly routine….and if nothing more it’s just good for me to finally see a male do a relaxed hair care video. THANKS for posting!!
Thank you very much for teaching me to turn down my flat iron. I was burning out my hair so now I know all I need is two taps on medium , turn and straight down.
Thank you, thank you so very much...I've learned so much! My Mom started relaxing my hair when I was 9 because, to this day, I sweat in my head...btw I'm 64 yrs old. I'm going to watch this video several times to absorb all the info!
Thank you Linwood!! Your content is always 🤌🏽 I just put a texturizer in my hair today after being natural for about 9 yrs and honestly I am so happy. I STRUGGLED with my extra coarse, extra dry hair for yrs. Please keep us relaxed girlies in mind, we need you too! 😊❤
Just wanted to say I got your recommended deep conditioner from Giovanni, and it was exactly what I needed! The hunt for the right one is finally over. Thank you!!
I big chopped from relaxed hair March 2019, after relaxing my hair for 3 decades. I love my natural hair and would not change my decision. However, Linwood, I wish I was armed with the wealth of information you provided in this video while I had relaxed hair. I would have been spared a lot of the breakage and agony of burnt scalp. You are truly precious! ❤❤
Hey Linwood, I followed your advice on trims. I got a trim a day ago and my stylist even didn’t want to trim because I had no split ends for 3 months I am impressed. Your videos have enhanced my at home hair care A LOT!. I oil my ends religiously with Kerastasé Elixir Ultime for color treated hair. I also followed the amino acid/ protein treatments for color treated hair. Thank you for being so informative
Linwood, thank you for this video...I especially found the info on cocktailing protein with the deep conditioner extremely helpful because I do each separately and I'm always in and out of the shower, cocktailing will definitely save time. Thank you once again.
The tips regarding relaxers for kids; wearing a hat before relaxing; and relaxing my own hair. After your advice, I started letting stylist do it and my hair went down my back. Mind blowing stuff. ❤
Why is this man so amazing!?! Dropping a ton of knowledge that a lot of us relaxed girls need while NOT being judgmental bc of our decision to relax! He’s funny and his voice is so relaxing and reassuring! I always feel better at the end of watching his videos and short clips! Thank you so much for being you and being a beacon of light and positivity in our community!💕💕🌸
That part about being NOT judgmental is true, it's appreciated. The fact that some "professional" hairstylist come very rude to relaxed hair is quite shocking. We all choose how we'd like our hair, whether that's relaxed, natural, blue, blonde, baby hairs or none just be professional. So I'm thankful for his positive and professionalism.
Not being judged is the number one thing Thank you! The judgement is real sometimes so I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels that way at times (Especially from fellow people of color….unfortunately) I like to relax my hair but THATS WHAT I WANT TO DO I’m not trying to be “white” or whatever I just like to do what I want to do So I’m really glad I saw this comment -peace and love
Just because you’re enjoying your natural hair journey doesn’t mean you have to tear up someone else’s journey.” He said it all there. I like the non judgmental approach towards relaxed hair. I’m over the people with natural hair who act like they’re the poster child of good health or the “real black people.” My hair is relaxed, thick, long and healthy because I take care of it by incorporating over 90% of his tips. Having relaxed hair is my choice. I love being a black woman and having a relaxer does not change that. Sorry I had to vent.
Thanks so much, loved one!! This has been so very helpful for me and I learn so much from you, as I am on this journey of being relaxed for the past two years now, from being natural. My hair is really growing, as I don't use much heat at all (other than getting it blow-dried) and I'm one of those people who only gets my hair relaxed once a year!! Love you much!! 😌💞
Only wearing my hair in up-do's, buns, twist outs; rarely do I wear my hair curled or fully done, except maybe for worship services or outings.@@adrienneroxanne9833
That's why i just did it. My hair was healthy enough. And has grown so much. Now I'm educated to maintain it and keep it healthy. I have got so many compliments.
I just finished discovering you on my RU-vid feed. Thank God for you! I’ve now subscribed to EVERY channel you have. I love the way you approached the person that said they were going to unsub bcz you weren’t giving any tips for relaxed hair. You kindly & calmly educated ALL of us viewers. I’m not relaxed btw. Been natural 2+ years & honestly I don’t think I’ll ever go back. I’ve felt the diff btwn when my hair was relaxed vs now that it’s natural. It’s not coarse. It’s VERY soft like a fluffy cotton ball & it’s so much harder to break off a strand. Thank you for doing some of God’s work with us! ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🫶🏽🙏🏽
I am not relaxed anymore and am never going back, but that tip about stretching out your time between relaxers blew my mind. I never know 6-8 weeks was the minimum.
Got my hair relaxed when I was 9 and never learned how to take care of it myself. This video answered more questions in 30 minutes than I've ever gotten in all my years of living, including why it randomly burned a lot last time I got it relaxed Thank you You're a wonderful teacher
You know ur stuff, did not know about puberty and hair loss,I had stylist put a super relaxer in72,they did not know much relaxers were new 8 had long thivk hair, after that relaxer it was ultra sheen, threw my hair out im 63 now hair finally growing back, knew better, overlapped my light colored hair figured since I use deep treatment weekly and Olaplex I would be finr, fine, hair shed thin all of it I cut it will start over,I relax every 3 to 4 months do u believe 8n detailing leave in likePureo.ogy 21 C9,or Fanatic a dredging extreme anti snap treatments?please let me know u know ur stuff brother God bless u and ur fam8ly.
I watched to the very end!! Very informative, especially since I’m starting my relaxed hair journal after being natural for about 12 years…my choice. Thanks
This was such a thorough and informative video. My daughter has very coily hair that we have styled naturally all these years. Now that she is a teen, it has become more of her responsibility to upkeep the styles I give her. I have seen a lack of interest and a lack of care from her towards her hair and became fed up and considered relaxer as an option. This video changed my mind bc now I see that relaxed hair requires just as much care if not more than natural. I’m glad I waited until the very end to hear about the negative effects of relaxer on children. My daughter is a young teen and I noticed her hair becoming more coily in her teen years. I had slick straight hair my whole childhood and then when I hit puberty - BAM! I got waves/loose curls. I didn’t take into consideration how much hormones can change and affect hair/scalp. We will not be relaxing at all. We will search for other low effort/easy protective styles she can learn to care for on her own. If anyone has any suggestions for simple styles a teen can learn to do on her own, please comment - I would appreciate it ❤❤❤
I'm so thankful for this video. I have been relaxing my own hair for about a year now and completely damaged my hair and scalp the last time I relaxed it 2 months ago. I believe my hair was in shock and my scalp. After about two months I am finally seeing New growth but my hair is no longer growing in as thick as it was. Can you please help in suggest any products I can use on my scalp. Especially now that is in such a sensitive and damaged state. I said I will go natural
I am so glad to hear you say how long you have your clients wait for touch ups. I relax my hair every 3-3.5 months it’s tough the older it gets but I feel my hair is healthier. People think I’m crazy saying that’s too long.
That mic brings out the bass in your voice wow.. you have always done great edits, the music compliments the sound of your voice.. do you have a podcast!? ❤❤❤❤
Excellent, excellent information! I remember as a preteen my scalp burning 2 days after I got a perm. I ended up with scabs forming on my scalp. Never knew why! Parents listen to this wonderful educator! He knows his stuff!
This is facts. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and Stylist. We've been using #1 and #2 for years. No issues. They expanded the brand for at home consumers and now all the shenanigans....
This is perfect. I am relaxed, but I still follow you because you speak about keeping hair in general, healthy! So this video was such a pleasant surprise. Thank you❤
Thank you for this! I was feeling a little slighted because I am relaxed but still follow you faithfully. My take away was the staying away from coffee, and stop wearing hats before relaxer. I did have a bad reaction with Olaplex the very first time I used it. It was like it caused protein overload! I assumed I used it incorrectly or it didn’t mix well with other products I used (Giovanni hydrating shamp/0laplex 3, that’s it). I didn’t return to it. Again thank you for the info. The only thing left that I struggle with is I really can’t tell when I need protein or moisture, so I just use moisture and occasionally use the ROUX porosity in my conditioner.
#4, your definition of coarse hair, #11-12, 16, 17 wowwwww! Thank you for this video. I’m natural and have been for about five years now, but I’m over it and ready to go back to relaxers. Everyone is telling me that I will regret it, but I seriously doubt that. It’s extremely expensive and difficult to manage my natural hair and it’s hard to find a hairstylist that I can trust. I jumped from Braids to twist, etc. with little Braids and I just wanted to figure out the healthiest way to transition back to relaxed hair. this is the first video that I’ve watched that made me feel comfortable with my decision. I really appreciate you posting this.
I don't comment for nothing. You made me have to say something. Thank you because i am relaxed. Its like i walk in shame making that decision. No there arent many edu videos out for us. Idk why we cant just have our hair as we want it and be damn happy. I stumble upon your video and i am so thankful for the information. I didn't even care the length of time for the video. I needed all the information. Now I can apply these tips plus i know how to communicate with a stylist in order to see if they can provide what i need for my hair. Because your right they do be going to do something else and have you sitting. But we never thought of it in a negative way. Its how we are raised. Tell me what it starts to burn as been installed in is. Anyway thank you. For a person that don't comment. I wrote a book 🤦🏽♀️
I used to get my touch ups every three months. I would never do it every two months. I did my own relaxers, and never had any issues. My hair was to my waist and still is now that it's natural. I agree with my hair isn't bone straight. I love my options. Great video!
The universe sent this to me, i wasnt able to mange my natural hair so i impulsively cut my shoulder length natural hair to a low cut. Liked the cut for a day and wasnt able to deal with it the next day to go out. I got home annoyed i relaxed more like texturised my hair and i was like gosh why didnt i do this before. Sooo im trying to grow my short hair in it relaxed stated now. Wish me luck and thank youuu❤
Why would she threaten to unsubsidized but loves tour content? That was such an unnecessary comment. Clearly all she needed to do was ask if you deal with relaxed hair or if you are able to give advice. She was doing toooooooooooo much.
This is my first video of yours I am watching..I have natural hair/haven’t had a relaxer since 2011..but this video is very informative and helpful even for what I need to do for my own kinky curly hair.. and you are funny..glad you love your career and do what you do…
Thanks so very much! I greatly appreciate you watching and leaving your feedback! I have several other videos so if you are interested in other hair related topics, please feel free to check them out as well! 😊🙏🏽 Have a great day!
Than you!! This video was needed. I recently relaxed my hair after going natural for 6 years. I need some education on how to maintain my relaxed hair (I felt out of looped lol). This was extremely helpful. I will look into the deep conditioning and hydration products as well. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! @GetGlamFam ❤❤❤⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Where the hell have you been all my life?! Great information! I love my hair relaxed but i stopped relaxing because my family was relaxer shaming me 🙄 I’m going back I don’t care 😂
The no hats or caffeine tips were surprising. I love this! Wish all stylists cared enough to educate clients on aftercare. I’ve never had a stylist give unsolicited advice or inquire about my haircare routine. Seems like they just want you to come back to them after you mess up your hair.
I think you are wonderful and so cute. I love watching your videos even though most of your tips do not apply to me. I know you are very knowledgeable, and I wish when I was young I had a stylist like you. Because I am much older than you and all the beauticians I was sent to when I was very young did nothing but destroy my hair, I will never go to a beautician or salon again. I do my own hair myself and will never let anyone else touch my hair. I say that because I have naturally thick hair, my hair is extremely healthy, and has grown almost to my waist. I have tried several times to be completely natural, however, because my hair is thick, it is too difficult for me to manage. I TexLax my hair with relaxer. Meaning I just apply it to only the new growth and rinse it out. I then spend an hour neutralizing my hair. I wash my hair at least 10 times with neutralizing shampoo, then end with a moisturizing shampoo and deep conditioning. You forgot to mention in this video the importance of neutralizing. I use relaxer in my hair only to make it more manageable, not for it to be straight. I touch up my new growth every 16 weeks, I lightly trim every 8 weeks, I wash every 2 weeks, then deep condition every time I wash. I never use any heat on my hair and my hair is always hydrated and moisturized. I use very low manipulation, because I work from home and do not need to style my hair daily. When I do style my hair, it is always in a protective bun. Yes, I know very boring, but that is why my hair almost down to my waist and healthier than it has ever been. Thank you so much for your videos!
Wow, I’ve been combing my wet hair all wrong. I use all of the correct products ( Wet Brush and wide tooth combs). But, I’ve always started from the roots and I use a detangling spray. Thank you for these tips!!!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️
My mother relaxed my hair from inception! My hair started breaking when I was in the 4th grade and hasn't stopped. Now that I've been natural for about twelve years now, I honestly haven't noticed a huge change in my hair from relaxed to natural. It's still as frustrating, if not more expensive, as it was when I was relaxed. I've tried everything from rice water, making my own conditioner, deep conditioning (I'll never stop this), hot oil treatments, masks, clarifying, dirty hair, trims, protective styles, etc and it won't grow past a certain length. I'm feeling like giving up and going back relaxed. This video has given me a lot to think about. Before it's asked, I sleep in bonnets and drink a lot of water.
I never knew why my hair wasn't growing on the left side, thank you now I finally understand. I was doing too much protein treatments. I love how knowledgeable you are ❤
Tfs Linwood...great tips as usual. Even when I first started relaxing ny hair 30+ yrs ago, I always pushed to 8 wks btwn relaxers. In the past 10 yrs or so, I've been able to stretch to 12-14 wks btwn relaxers. Always used Vitamin E oil as my base. Still trying to restore the health, body & length to my fine hair.
I have had relaxed hair since 1971. There was a break with relaxers around 1976. I have a a number of stylist doing my hair but I have been doing my own hair for a very long time. I do have an occasional visit to a stylist. I don't like dryers. I will sleep every type of roller or rod and let my hair air dry. Also, I color my hair. When I did go to a stylist my hair would be so dry and I would have to apply a moisturizing hair cream for a week to replenish the moisture. This is very good information. Thank you for being so helpful.
The relaxing schedule, I have been told six to 8 weeks. I always do minimum 12wks and the have fine texture relaxed. Down to bra top now. Growing back to mid back.
I love your tips about relaxed hair especially going 6 months to redo a relaxer, not eating certain foods before relaxing my hair, not exercising, and the Giovanni product.
So much helpful info. My mom never liked pressing my hair. She didn't like relaxers even for her own hair. I finally relaxed my hair when I turned 30 During the pandemic I went back natural and am loving getting io know my natural self again.
This popped up as I’ve been researching videos on relaxed hair. I’ll be going back after 10years! Where were you when my hair was breaking off like crazy early 20’s! HYDRATE! HYDRATE! HYDRATE!
This is the first time I’m commenting on a RU-vid vid, I didn’t even know where to find the comments section, shame😂 but I had to say thanks for the tips. I’ve been struggling to maintain healthy hair since I relaxed it. The way you explained the tips really helps me to understand what my hair needs.
I have a short pixie cut that I love it’s a decision I made based on lifestyle… your 25 tips really helped me! Because I was super concerned with the frequency of of my relaxers… Thank you so much I love your content!
Thank you! I’ve been natural for about 10 years. Through out the years I’ve learned to managed my hair and really care for it. Due to how long and how thick it grew to be, I honestly don’t have the time to give it the attention it deserves. Been curious about being a heat natural or using a relaxer to loosen my curls a little. I’ve been so scared to go through with it due to losing all of my hair at the hands of beauticians and my own when it came to relaxers. This video gave me so much confidence and understanding.
Nair and veet are (same as or close too it) relaxers!😮 never thought about it. Stopped using relaxers because I did everything you said don't do😮 before you get your hair relax. Now I know what Not to do and my daughter still relax her hair. I passed your video to her. Loved it!
I have long relaxed hair( older lady) its been shedding a lot! I’ve got it now, I think I’m touching up too early. Also I will start doing protective styles more and deep conditioning! Thank you young man ❤
This is a fantastic video. You took us to class. I watch 3 times and taken notes. Im a natural going relax and feel so much more confident because of you. ❤❤❤
Thank you for these tips!!!!! I’ve been natural for about 7 years and I’m thinking of going back. And most of these things I did not know but it explains why my hair was in the condition it was in when I was relaxing my hair. Thank you so much
Hey I was wondering if you could do a video on all things dealing with sandy brown hair like products that don’t cause buildup and help retain moisture. I like to see a demonstration of how to do a silk press on the hair and anti humidity products. If you are not concerned with building what is a good oil sealant to fight against humidity, deep conditioner, clarifying shampoo and conditioner thank you in advance
Been following you for years now. I'm a 22 inch healthy relaxed hair woman. I touch up once a year. Yes, once a year. I stretch my hair with aloe vera juice and silicone bamboo conditioner mix. Furthermore, I have an amazing, highly educated stylist! Uh... , I also use Olaplex! Hello!!! Thank you!
Hi haven’t watch this channel in a minute but, I know you were going through some things. Hope all things are well for you now. I’m praying for you. Stay Strong. ❤
What is your take on Keratin treated hair? I have 4C hair, I switched from hair relaxers to Keratin, and I love it. It has made my hair grow longer, drying time is less and I have less hair breakage. I used to apply 2-3 times per year. Now I am done to once per year. Anything you have to say about Keratin --- very much appreciated!!
LLlistennn.. that coffee/caffeine tip was something I would have never thought of. ❤ and thank you for explaining course and fine, and how wrapping the hair the day of is a no.. everything you said to explain processing my hair has been golden. I can't thank you enough. I QUIT MY NATURAL 4C HAIR journey yesterday. I didn't know how to be gentle with her 😢❤ but I don't want my hair drying out relaxing it.. so I came here to educate myself. You always deliver!!
When I go to the salon for my relaxer, I add the olaplex service, and I feel like it has made a major difference with my hair. I love it and will continue to get it. Loved the tips. 💜
Thank you for all of this great information; so helpful. Fingers crossed that the salon I’m going to knows all of this information too . Appreciate you
i learned that chemically treated hair is high porosity, caffeine, hats and working out before a treat is a no no! didnt knw none of that. and almost all ur tips were abt hydration!! my hair was thirsty when i was natural n its more thirsty now that i am relaxed. my stylist has been little help. i wish i had you as a hair guide as i apprdciate the science-y lessons to understand what is happening w the hair and how certain products works!! thx for this sooo much!!
