Hi everyone,
This week's vlog I take you on holiday with me and my daughter. We go to stay in the beautiful medieval town of Sarlat la Caneda in the Dordogne, France. It is such a treat to visit and spend time wondering around the old streets, looking at the amazing architecture and details.
Chateau de Beynac is quite simply awe inspiring, perched on the rocky cliff.
Hidden away in France is a channel showing my life in the countryside of France. As a dressmaker of whimsical fairytale dresses to living a simple life whilst trying to renovate my old farm. My love of the outdoors and nature, ancient buildings and architecture to period costumes and all things related.

The painting on the beams, which appears to be gray, was probably originally silver that has oxidized over time. Can you imagine how pretty that was? Learned that from watching professional restorers. Thought I would share it.

This was so lovely. I just found you a few days ago and love France! I've always remembered my visit to the Dordogne in 1984, and I am sure I visited this castle, and Sarlat. The whole area has such a good place in my heart, for its beauty. What a treasure, thank you. If I spoke French I would want to move there too! 👏🙋🏠😊😊

Not sure I would call Sarlat part of hidden France as it is a major tourist attraction in the area, but it is very pretty, which leads to many visitors. Enjoyed your video, thank you.

Sian thank you for the lovely travel log. I spent two days in Paris some years ago and always wanted to come back to see more of the country. Not happening now so I have to live vicariously through RU-vid videos like yours. I’m totally fascinated by the architecture in France. I live in Australia and we don’t have the old buildings that are over there on the continent. I’m also a sewist so appreciate watching your work. I’m a quilter now but made clothes from about 12 years old until my daughter commandeered my machine when she was 13! I was introduced to your channel by Jenny and Nick who I hold very dear to my heart. RU-vid somehow unsubscribed me so I have some catching up to do. ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊

Makes me wish I lived closer for coming to any sewing classes you may hold! lol I also love the variety of content you share with us all. I find your choice of music so soothing as well! Even with volume all the way up, I could barely hear you. I appreciate low-key, but this is frustrating. My hearing is normal, my device works just fine.
